View Full Version : Lilith in an aspect pattern

On discovering Lilith and constructing my natal chart to see where she lies I have discovered an aspect pattern which of course was always there but which only now with Lilith in the picture do I realise how significant it may be for me.
Im a very practical earthy person (grand trine between Virgo sun,Capricorn ascendant and taurus mars),but I do often feel lost ,otherworldly, and caught up in my own thoughts and emotions,so much so that I often find it difficult to function in everyday life, even though I know that I am quite capable.
I believe the aspect pattern which I have found may help me see why I am this way.
Lilith lies at 2`Capricorn conjunct my N.node at 5`Capricorn in 12th house and Ascendant at 8`Capricorn.They all are opposite my saturn at 3`cancer in 6th house(saturn is my chart ruler,6th house is virgo house,I am virgo sun.)and they all square my 8th house pluto at 3`libra(pluto is strong in 8th,pluto is ruler of scorpio,I have scorpio moon conjunct scorpio midheaven)
Although out of orb this configuration also forms a loose grandcross with my chiron at 20`aries in 3rd( chiron being ruler of Virgo,my sun is in virgo).
Can anyone help me tie all this together and make sense of it!
It would be really useful to me if I could understand how this pattern plays a role in my life.

That's an exciting chart you have. I know someone born very close to you, with the same "pentagon" aspect pattern (don't know if it has a sexier name than that...).
I can tell you that Lilith/North Node actually gives you what is called a "boomerang", rather than just a plain old yod between Neptune, Jupiter and Saturn. Try doing a keyword search for boomerang on this forum, I know it has been spoken about, you could also start on this thread: The Yod of God (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=827) :) However, I don't know if it technically qualifies as a boomerang, given that both your North Node and Lilith are "points" and not "planets"!

Hi Cossie,
What you describe could also be a manifestation of your Sun-Mercury to Neptune square. The difference between, say, Neptune and Black Moon Lilith is that Neptune brings about events which one may be inclined not to (want to) see too clearly, or one can have such idealistic notions about a person or situation that one has difficulty coping with the daily reality that shows it to be otherwise. Black Moon Lilith, however, appears to refer to 'non- manifestation'; an image of an event/person/situation that never existed in the real and manifested world, yet takes on a life of its own in the inner world reality. As a very simple example, but NOT necessarily your story, Sun trine BML could present a picture of the hero figure, the ideal dad in t.v. commercials that few men can live up to. Sun square Neptune shows, by actual events, that the hero figure who may have been placed upon a pedastal was not what he was made out to be. BML trine Mercury can write and talk about things that never manifested, never happened for real, yet they have a reality in one's inner world. Mercury square Neptune can tell whoppers of a story, consciously knowing they are not speaking or being told the truth. Not so good in a court of law, yet excellent for a script writer, for instance.
My favourite example of Mercury trine Lilith is in the chart of the gentleman whose natural talent invented the dot-dash-dot of Morse code communication.
Saturn is about physical reality; the structure that forms our lives. BML is 'formless', a first nature uninhibited sense or instinct, and in a sign can refer to this natural inherent quality that feels to be lacking or is oppressed because it doesn't conform to what is expected of us. With Saturn in Cancer, a person can become so emotionally drained that BML in Capricorn loses all sense of reality, discipline and self-control, whereas, as you so rightly said, it is capable of just that. I have several charts of women who I say 'wear the pants'. They are able to take charge of their lives in spite of great personal difficulties. BML in the 12th house may choose to escape from reality into a safe inner world which protects it from harm, but it can also find the inner strength to face it and deal with it. Out of interest, BML in Capricorn has been found in charts where 'the black cloth' has played an important role. Is this significant in your case? In one chart it actually represented the nuns who condemned the little girl for 'her wicked ways'..i.e. questioning the dogma of the church's teaching and standing up for herself and her own beliefs!
BML to Pluto is the scorn of revenge; the person that one would like to see hung, drawn and quartered but which, thank goodness, is only an emotion. Obviously in the T-square with Saturn, it goes VERY deep and arises from actual events. BML in Capricorn can feel guilty and accept the blame for that which was not its fault or of its making. Here again, BML needs to find the sense of reality to get the facts straight.
BML to Taurus Mars is suggestive of strong inner strength as well as a physical attraction that you may not give in to. Love doesn't come into it. It's the fulfilment of desire. BML's strong quality probably means you can do much more, probably move mountains (or furniture!) if neceesary. You can hold your own with your male counterparts, which THEIR BML's may not take too kindly to;).
Although out of orb this configuration also forms a loose grandcross with my chiron at 20`aries in 3rd( chiron being ruler of Virgo,my sun is in virgo).
Can anyone help me tie all this together and make sense of it!

I wouldn't count Chiron in the configurations, the orbs are too wide. Chiron does oppose your Venus-Uranus conjunction. Uranus is quintile BML, significant of the natural side to you that longs to FEEL accepted for the very thing that sets you apart from what others expect of you.
Hope this may ring some bells.

Frisiangal thankyou so much for taking the time to write such a detailed account for me!wow!
I will have to reread it a few times to fully understand all you wrote. But from what i have gathered you are spot on.
As far as your question of 'the black cloth'-well since being young I have frequently imagined myself becoming a nun because the idea of isolation and sacrifice is something I can innately identify with. However,I have always questioned religion and have never felt comfortable with just accepting other peoples beliefs without question. Therefore despite having a strong belief in god ,and believing myself to be very spiritual I have never belonged to a religion. I was brought up a christian in the uk,but was never christened and I now live with a Hindu family in a hindu community in India.Still I have my own beliefs and no religion.
