View Full Version : Type of guy I'm attracted to VS. Type of guy that's good for me
Hi! I've always found myself attracted to the same type of man (funny, outgoing, lively, etc), but sometimes I can't help wondering if maybe the 'type' I'm always going for, isn't really what I need to build a steady relationship. A lot of guys I've ever been attracted to are free spirited and love to socialize and flirt. Unfortunately, I have a possessive side and am prone to being jealous. I have a lot of pride and I don't like being criticized. I'm working on fixing these issues, but it's hard.
Also, contrary to what I've read about Leos, I don't really like going out and partying. I'm definitely a homebody. I love to cook and clean and just stay home (most of the time).
What traits should I be looking for in a guy?
Also, can anyone tell me how many significant relationships I will have in this life? I read about in a separate thread and got really confused. Will I always be attracted to the same type of guy? :(

With both Venus and Mars in Leo, you would hit it off with a Leo man.
Also with a Gemini (your Moon is in Gem) or a Sag.
So it looks like you are attracted to the "right" type of man; i.e. fire signs.
Learn to look deeper to see who the other person is. If they have a nice dependable Moon (for instance) you have nothing to fear (than fear itself).
That is, your possessiveness will always be there regardless of how great your partner is because, as you conceded, it's one of your traits. So keep on the good work to remedy your jealousy. The right guy will make this easy but remember not to project those fears on your partner.
good luck,
Sui :)

What type of moon is considered "dependable?"

Usually a unafflicted Taurus moon is very dependable.
But the right moon for *you* is a combination of factors; for instance you seem to be very talkative and outgoing when in good mood (that's your Gem moon) so a guy with, say, strong Pisces or Cap Moon elements (i.e. more introvert) might not be a good match. With your Sun in Leo, a Leo Moon would be great for you but again the Moon alone won't tell the whole story. It's the natal aspects of the Moon that will also be significant in finding the "right" one for you.
Remember that a chart is a combination of multiple elements; try not to focus on any one element in isolation. Natal aspects are very important in how any given natal planet is behaving or manifesting in your character (or that of your partner).
Plus after a certain age the natal chart might be outgrown by the person. I've met many people (in their 30s and 40s) who have matured beyond their natal chart afflictions.
Life is what you make of it and there's always free will. Never lose sight of that as you get deeper in astrology.
best wishes :)

Hi Boom,
What a lovely looking kite in your chart.
You may have read on this forum that one of the best indicators of compatibility is if a man's Sun is in Conjunction, Trine or Sextile to a woman's Moon.
In your case, any man with Sun or Moon aspects to your Moon will activate your natal Oppositions to both Uranus and Neptune, which are aspects of physical instability (Uranus) and emotional insecurity (Neptune). Hence, the dual feeling of strong attraction combined with hesitation and insecurity.
Without going into too much technical detail of your chart, you probably should try and discriminate between the lively, social males you find adventurous vs. the lively, social males you find unpredictable. The former being "good", the latter being "bad". They both might feel and look very similar on the surface, but you should sit and really consider which category any prospective mate falls in.
The ("bad") unpredicatable males for you are more likely to be Suns or Moons in late Gemini, late Sagittarius, late Aquarius, early Aries, early Libra, early Capricorn.
The ("good") adventurous males for you are more likely to be Sun or Moon in late Aries (a particularly good match), late Libra and late Leo.
Basically, all I'm doing is looking at how they would aspect your Uranus/Neptune/Moon axis.
Technically speaking, the so-called bad boys up above merely have planetary positions that would make you *feel* insecure. Whether that feeling actually manifests in unpleasant experiences depends on a lot of things. So, you could truly have a perfectly fine relationship with one of the unpredictable ones, but you'd have to deal with the feeling.
I tend to think you'd be bored with a man with Leo Sun. A man with Moon in late Leo would be excellent, but only if his Sun was in strong compatibility to your chart, otherwise you'd dominate him, which would bore you again.
The late Aries man would definitely make you feel good about the relationship, but he may not initially feel the most magnetic in comparison to the bad boys (the unpredictable males). Adventures with him though would be of a more profound, purposeful and stable kind, and taken at longer intervals. The bad boys would take you on adventures too...but the difference here would be depth of experience (good boys) vs. breadth of experience (bad boys). You might also be able to get along with early Taurus or Virgo, but that will have to be case-by-case.
Just my musings, nothing is to be taken seriously.

May I ask what a kite is? What does it mean?

It just means your charts' aspects visually look like a kite. You'll notice that most people's horoscopes look like a bunch of lines. It's supposed to be an indicator of great stability in life, but I've never seen them enough to confirm that or not in actual practice.

boom,
I only had to glance at your chart to get the immediate sense that you should be with a late-Libra Man, with some planets in late-Sag, like Venus. Mars would be desirable in a fire Sign, ideally Aries, or Sag. You might find more Leo energy appealing, but I'd think you'd feel more complimented by the different fire types of energies, and some key Libra energies to balance.
What a lovely chart.

7th in Virgo
Mercury in Leo
Sun in Leo
Mars in Virgo
YOU ARE ATTRACTED TO LEO-VIRGO COMBINED IN MAN'S PERSONALITY.
I will say that Virgolike personalities a littlebit more as those planets are in the 6th house. (natural of virgo)
Really really the moon and Venus doesn't describe at all the kind of man that you are drawn. They describe how you love and how you act in relationships.... not what you like.
thanks! any other takers on the types of guys i should be wary of?
to add to that, i know that a relationship can't last without hard aspects...unfortunately, due to my stellium of planets, hard aspects (esp squares) seem super tough to deal with. what hard aspects would be considered "tolerable"?
