Hi!

I have been really interested in astrology lately, and I have been pretty good at guessing the sun signs of people I know (nearly 100%) and after learning about my birth chart I have started picking up the presence of moons and other dignities in people I meet, even ascendants. As an Aquarius I really like to study the logical aspects of things, such as the chronological progression brought about by various precessions and orbits - the cardinal elements are such only because they are followed in time by fixed elements, which are such only because they are followed by mutable elements, which are such only because they are followed by cardinal elements; by definition, a cardinal element cannot directly become muted, nor a fixed element directly become cardinal, nor a mutable element directly become fixed. I am still very new to all of this, so if you guys have any advice or suggestions please don't hesitate to make them.

Thanks, Sadalsuud

Ha ha...

This is the first time I've seen aspect symbols listed in a thread title. Shouldn't be surprised really, considering you're an Aquarian Sun. Welcome to the forum. :)

Thank you! Are you ☉, ☽, and AC in Libra? I can only imagine what it is like to be awake, asleep, and responsive all within the same sign, I have often been somewhat jealous of people who have another dignity besides the sun in their sun sign at the time of birth, but you have the 2 of the most important ones...

Welcome to the site!
Interesting intro Title ;)

Thanks! I see the same is true of you...if you don't mind that I ask, has this had a net positive effect on you?

Welcome to the forum, for suggestions I would be looking at your Chiron in Gemini in the 11th house, I'm not really sure that I understand your first post, but then those of us with chiron in the 3rd house or in gemini (3rd house ruler) often have problems making ourselves understood!

Yes, though I am Aquarius, not only do I have Chiron in Gemini but I have Nadir in Libra, which is why Air Signs and even Air Ascendants are drawn to me though they know not why until they get to know me. I believe myself to be actually pretty often involved with the Fire signs (more than I would like to be?), what with having my Ruler (Uranus) in Sagittarius and Midheaven in Aries. I tend to be pretty approachable as a Cancer Ascendant with Ruler (Moon) exalted in Taurus and Ruler (Venus) exalted in Pisces, but after that people generally get confused. I have the Rulers of all the Mutable elements in Capricorn, which I believe has to do with my love of taking raw, mutable information and analyzing it in a concrete manner (as I did in my first post). I tend to be very decisive in a tactical situation which I believe has to do with both Saturn (Joy) and Pluto (Ruler) in Scorpio. Perhaps my most revealing characteristic is Mars in Pisces, which tends to confuse people even more but is actually very essential to the moment-by-moment operations in my head...what didn't you understand about my first post?

I am not sure I understand your question. Has what had a positive effect on me?

This mostly:
Quote" the cardinal elements are such only because they are followed in time by fixed elements, which are such only because they are followed by mutable elements, which are such only because they are followed by cardinal elements; by definition, a cardinal element cannot directly become muted, nor a fixed element directly become cardinal, nor a mutable element directly become fixed." I'm not sure what your getting at here, this could be interpreted in several different ways, can you please elaborate further on this for me. Thanks Caprising

Having the Sun, the Moon, and the Ascendant in Leo?

I was merely reflecting on the metaphysical foundations of the nature of elements. For instance, when Air has opened the door to Mutability (♊), then there is also an opportunity for something relatively Cardinal to emerge as well (♎), or when it is Cardinal (♎), there is thus a likelihood for it to become Fixed (♒) later on due to the sheer power of Cardinal Elements, or when it is Fixed (♒), there is always a possibility that it will become Mutable (♊) as even the mightiest of empires fall in time. By definition something cardinal is not something to be muted, something that is fixed will not suddenly be considered cardinal, and something inherently mutable will have no way of becoming in and of itself fixed, without following the natural progression of Cardinal=>Fixed=>Mutable. If you look at the Zodiac, along the course of a year Fixed Signs of an Element always precede the Mutable Signs of the same Element and always succeed the Cardinal Signs of the same Element.

I enjoy my sun/moon/asc/venus together in Leo in the first house.
I am not sure how to word it, but it is something I have had to learn to harness or control. I have a lot of positive attributes that can be percieved as negative if not checked or put in place. The goal is to be kittenish, not crazy cat lady.
