This type of question would really matter when dealing with electional and horary questions. Most feel that you look only at the last major aspect the moon makes to a planet. Ivy Goldstein-Jaboson (whose method I am most familiar with) insists that the moon making parallels and contraparallels to planets counts too. So if the last "regular" aspect is moon square pluto and that is followed by the moon parallel Venus - the outcome ends well (if the rest of the chart is ok, of course). Also, if there are no aspects to planets (including parallels and contraparallels) BUT the moon is parallel the part of fortune at the time the question was asked or the electional event started, that saves the situation. But never heard anything about aspects to nodes saving the situation. I would be interested to hear what others think about this. Does Lily agree with Ivy on the above ?

I don't know what traditional or modern professional asologers say about the matter. Here's my personal opinion though;

In horary..
Strictly speaking, I only account for planets. However, if another object or point seem to matter within the context of the horary, I will consider it. So normally, I don't take the nodes into account, but if the horary is about date, destiny or a life-time pursuit, I guess the nodes will be appropriate to use.

In electional astrology..
I take almost everything into account; planets, nodes and points.. and even asteroids sometimes.
