This feels ackward ..

Hi there,
it feels a bit ackward to speak up here and to attach my chart, guess it is my Scorpio planets that make it difficult to open up but I am curious too to know what you think and to meet some of you, so please feel free to comment.
I hope to have enough time to visit here and write as I am a new mom as well but I love astrology, have been reading about it for ages but what I am lacking is a more technical, detailed approach.

Thought I could ask you a question right of the back, I see you have moon conjunct uranus in scorpio, would you care to share a bit about that aspect? I think it is a difficult aspect to understand... (I see now that the orb is very wide..)

You have a nice balance of elements in your chart. Most of the planets belove horizon with sun in capricorn and scorpio moon. Are you more introverted than extroverted?
I would guess you are a hard worker who knows what you want from life, and try what you can to get it...? And your child means really, really much to you?

It is an important moon for me as my two big loves have had Scorpio moons, while my husband is 8th house Sun and Mercury.

I had a friend a few years ago who was a Pisces with a few Aquarius planets, she used to say that the Aq values used to help her stay afloat and centred, otherwise she would have just drifted into the unknown. She also said they contributed to her wholesomeness and honesty..
Oh the Scorpio values.. Fourth house. Not easy to explain, but let me try. I am a bit of a 'gypsy' as I have been living away from home and my home country for the second half of my life. I have changed houses at least 10 times in the past 10 years. And I am moving again at the end of the month.. help! I have often lived near water, lakes, canals, etc.
Characterwise, I'm intuitive and can be impulsive. May refuse to approach or deal with a person who doesn't have the 'right' aura. I just feel it somehow. Usually too deep and intense for most people, but very protective of my dears.
As for being a hard worker, I am indeed one, and I am also really good at making money for others. That is 90% of the time. The other 10% the Scorpio stellium morphs into a Taurus way of being and I can get very lazy and trapped in procrastination.
I usually know what I want when I am in my active mode, however, I think I yet have to find my true calling. My practical qualities have been predominant so far, but my creative side still has and needs to be expressed. Any ideas on that, Little Miss?
As for the deeper, sub-values 4th house Scorpio is also childhood and family trauma. 'Mother' issues. My mother squares them perfectly with her Aq planets. What can I say.. What would your input on the father be?
I am indeed trying to consciously overcome all of this in my life as I try to be the best mom possible to my little one, recognizing both my strengths and my weaknesses. It hasn't been an easy ride, but I am doing quite well. Little one's a boy and if I'd had a girl I guess I would have still been inside the karmic circle. I think I am going to stop at one kid though.
Btw, how precise do you think astro.com charts are? I have a feeling I am closer to 5th house Merc from how I feel, and it gives me the 6th. I am also not stingy at all as the 6th house would imply, and am generous and an easy giver in daily life. Still learning how to save, too.
Oh, and some more. Stuff that interests me: astrology, tarot, painting, literature (poetry!), photography, fashion and design, antiques, and perfume!

I have a Virgo Asc, so my Moon is in the 3rd house, conjunct Pluto. Sun is in the 5th house, conjunct Neptune. My chart is on my sigline in case you want to take a look. :smile: And, yes, this Sun/Moon combination is not easy at all, lol. I started to realize the effect of the combination from reading the description of it in Heaven Knows What by Grant Lewi, which gives a description of all Sun/Moon combinations. Tell me if you relate to this sentence...

It is difficult to persuade you that you are wrong, for although apparently reasonable, you have an inflexible core within and a trick of appearing not to understand the other fellow's viewpoint when you understand it perfectly but think it better tactics not to admit it.

I've been suffering from that one for quite a while, myself, lol. I've found that this combination has the unfortunate mix of callousness, cruelty and intensity, if I let it, lol. This, I think, is one of the bucking bronco combinations that can be a powerhouse when tamed. :wink: I've found a lot of defiance and irrational and petty hatred comes with this combination, and it's often difficult to logic myself out of my instinctive reactions. I find it good medicine to lighten up entirely and force myself not to act on instinct, through sheer force of will.

I don't know if it's the Sun/Moon combination that accounts for this, but in my experience it's very difficult to change my way of thinking, and often have to use strong-arm techniques against my psyche. Mind follows matter for me. If I don't take conscious control over my emotional reactions, then they will get the better of me, it's happened more than once, and it will happen again.

So... how is your taming process going? :smile:

Haha, well... I think my virgo ascendant grounds me a bit, but with sun in pisces and moon in aquarius I feel to emotional and to out-tuned for my own good... Very affected by subtle influences everywhere I am... responding emotionally to everything. :tongue:

Yes I can see that you have a need to express your creative side with sun in 5th house. I would guess that you know how to enjoy yourself also? So maybe you need to structure a form of plan to be creative? What things do you like to do?
I get a feeling that you are an achiving sort of person who is able to make things happen, use that purpously, with the pleasures in life also. You are interested in alot of things so set aside time if you can to paint, write poetry or go antique-shopping! :smile: The 5th house is an important house!

Is that a t-square with jupiter, pluto and sun you have? How was your relationship with your father? It seems like a sort of conflict area?
How about your mother, would you care to tell more? I see you have moon-venus conjunction also. I have that too. My mother and I are very much like friends, not the traditional mother-daughter relationship...
Alot of things not especially traditional actually, with uranus in 4th house for me too. :)

I don't know about the houses though, I often feel that it is hard to seperate those energies. Mercury in 6th may be that you structure and organize your way of thinking. I write a lot of yellow-notes, makes lists like a mainiac...

Your Sun Neptune conjunction sounds really interesting. And what does it do to your 5th house? Are you creative?
As for out 'lucky' Sun Moon combo I think we tend to be tough on others because we are really tough on ourselves in the first place..
I am not easily convinced and it is hard to change my mind once it's been made up but then my Gemini Mars may just flip things upside down and take on a different course. But when I decide that something's over, it's over for good.
As for the hatred and negativity that you mentioned, the best way of dealing with it for me has been through yoga. Lightening up is good, the best tactic, but sometimes it's just so easy to get carried away and turn negative. For some reason I was really irritable in the last trimester of my pregnancy, especially the last month.
I also need to remind myself constantly not to resort to the methods that my parents used with me when I was a child, i.e. negativity, anger, shame. They still reverberate somewhere inside when I recall them, so I always need to remind myself. So probably taming them is what's most important.

The Moon Venus conjunction in the 4th and in Scorpio in terms of mother/daughter? Wow, that's a tough one. I dearly love my mom but she's not an easy person, and can be a real pain. I know the way she thinks, am aware of her negativity and vulnerability, of her mood swings and all, and I try my best to avoid them in me. Otherwise they would be just too easy to replicate. But then when things are good it is nice to share and help out and I think our mothers are the ones that willingly or unwillingly understand us the best (although they may refuse to even recongnize it sometimes).
Some of the worst things I have heard regarding myself and my character have also been said by my mother. She can be brutal. I also think I continued running into female bosses from hell at work until I seriously started analysing all these mother daughter dynamics.
Father is another issue I constantly have to deal with since he was both distant and abusive toward us kids and my mother when I was a child, but turned totally bright and charming when out and about with strangers. He wasn't around much either. He's calmed down now (after some heavy lessons from life) but is still distant and I do not really seek his company. We are civil though, which is probably for the better.
What does Uranus do to your IV house? And how do you live with it? Would be great to hear.
Hmm, I am not very good at writing lists. I can make some good ones when I put my mind to it but I am not regular in that sense. I have become very neat and organised since my pregnancy and now that I have my little one, but I have become absent-minded about other stuff. They say breastfeeding does this to your head, lol. I also have to find time to write here so I am not always prompt with my answers.
And as someone very clever around here's pointed out my creativity is centred around my kid for now. :-) I do want to go back to painting and learn some new things when it all calms down a bit though. :-)

Regarding venus-moon conjunction - I read somewhere that this could make a distorted mother-daughter relationship and/or friendships with other girls, and that somehow an aunt or another female realtive who is somewhere between a friend and a mother could make it "easier". I never got to understand exactly why, but in my case this is spot on, because I have an aunt which fills somehow a need in me to relate to females a certain way. It seems I can be to close in friendships...
Experienced anything similar?

Hm, my Uranus conjunct IC?
Well, it is a few things actually: - The first is that I've always felt weird and different. It doesn't "show", i fit in and seem like a very capable person, but i often feel different from most people I interact with. (It also sqauares both sun and asc).
- The second is that my mum is a kind of ecentric lady, and not very ladylike. She is kind of a feminist. We had a untraditional home. My father is the one that makes all the food, my mum can not cook. (That's one example).
- I've always been the odd-ball in the family. The one that breaks the traditions, goes a seperate way and do things or don't do things that the other people have done.
- I've had a feeling all my life, even though I've felt somewhat safe, that I'm not in control of things. Like something always is waiting around the corner to pop up and change everything for me. (This has left me with a sort of constant anxiety or restless fright). Which maybe has to do with the last thing I can name:
- Sudden events often occurs in my life. OFTEN. I'm very used to things changing from one moment to the other. Especially in my homelife. Not in a major way, but enough to disturb the daily routines and my comfort in my home.
- Alot of problems with electrical equipments in my home...
