View Full Version : Anyone with a Moon-Saturn Conjunction?

Hi there - first post for me. So I'm afflicted with a moon-Saturn conjunction in the 8th house and they both oppose Mercury (2nd House). Anyone else cursed with a similar configuration? How the heck do you overcome the Moon-Saturn conjunction? I have tons of feelings, but somehow no one sees that, I do a good job of covering them up. But if I didn't cover them up, I'd be crying all the time and no one wants to witness that . . . any input?
Hi, Dakota. It seemed that we are in similar case. My Moon-Saturn is in Libra 29 H4. BUT I'm not sad with myself at all.
Maybe the Moon-Saturn can be similar, but sign and house matters. Yours H8 is like Scorpio, of course with a thick mask. And Moon falls in H8, so you feel bad. Passionate but depressed, ahaa? I can sense it.
And the Mercury opposition also add pain to you. Because this aspect, you can not speak out your feelings freely. OH...
What sign are they take place? MAYBE in yin signs?

Hi 5th - hmm, maybe the signs do play a role although it's encouraging to hear you have that conjunction and don't consider yourself afflicted at all. Maybe it's just my perspective that needs to change :-)
The moon-Saturn conjunction is in Aries (8H) and Mercury is in Libra (2H).
Not sure which signs are yin and which are yang?

I don't have any astrological interpretation, Dakota, but I understand your dilemma. I have pretty much the same problem, I think. Except with me, it's pretty much gotten to the point where I pretty much feel numb most of the time. I also have a heavy emphasis on 2nd/8th house in my chart - but it's Saturn opposing the Uranus/Pluto conjunction in the 8th that is my buggaboo. My moon is in the 1st house.

So, basically, it's Fire and Air signs are masculine and Earth and Water signs are feminine? Looks that way to me.
Dakota, I'm glad to hear your oppositon in yang signs. It's much easier to get rid of bad moods for you. If there are some trine, sextile aspect with Saturn-Moon, then we can say it's good to ease the tense. Especially aspect with Jupiter or Venus.
Even if there's no trine or sextile, you can help yourself, too. Because Moon-Saturn in Aries oppose Libra Mercury, then you can get rid of moods problem by social contact (Libra) and progress commuication by yourself (Aries).
Saturn-Moon conjunction can cause periodical mood swings. Transiting Moon can form semisquare, square, opposition aspect to your natal Saturn-Moon, and then you can feel different. BUT with age progress, you can feel better. Learn to manage your emotions.
BUT if Ascendant sign is Cancer, then Saturn-Moon can be long-lasting depression.

Well, I have a Saturn opposition Moon and it really is awful. Saturn (in Capricorn) is in the 6th and moon(Gemini -late degree) in the 12th. It really has manifested in chronic illness. I know what the opposition feels like - I would take a square any day because at least you can get things done. Of course, I don't know what the conjunction feels like. Taoist Master Mantak Chia teaches a whole system of Chi Kung that teaches techniques for circulating energy in such a way so as to offset negative planetary energies. They even have ways of pulling in specific energies from planets to antedote the "hard" planets' influences. This is not airy-fairy new agey energy work that is not based on reality. This is old, real stuff - not learned to the point of becoming a master in one weekend ! The structure of a person's body determines how easily they can successfully do it. Google him - he is an incredbile teacher - very clear and knowledgable. He travels all around the world so that people all over can take his reasonably priced classes. Mantak Chia. I have experienced it and it is powerful but I have not been able to do it readily because of my poor body structure. Really worth checking out.

I experienced a Saturn square Moon transit this summer. The only thing I can say is that I'm glad I don't have hard Moon - Saturn aspects in my chart. This is the hardest transit I've ever been through. Or at least since I've been studying astrology ;)
I have considered not posting this, since I haven't told anybody before. But well, why not?
I was on holiday at the time, far from home. I missed my home. I missed my friends. But not only that. I felt lonely. That didn't have anything to do with the location, though. I got irritated by almost anything. I had such strong feelings and I didn't know where they came from. I felt pain inside, although there was no real reason. I couldn't handle these negative feelings.
Having a natal Moon - Pluto conjunction in Scorpio, strong feelings aren't new to me. I don't know where my feelings come from, most of the time. I try to analyse them, but no point. But normally I'm able to cope with it. I have found slightly weird methods to control myself - reciting Shakespeare's sonnets, for example. (I love Shakespeare's work. Most of all, I love his sonnets.)
But reciting Shakespeare's sonnets didn't help during this time. I hurt myself. I knew it's not a good thing to do. I knew I shouldn't do it. But at least the pain was at only one spot. Physical pain is lots easier to handle. I have scars now. No big scars, they're small. Nobody has yet asked me how I got them... If anyone asks, I won't tell them the truth.
Don't get me wrong, this is not a habit for me. I did hear a lot about it, but I've never done it myself. Until this summer... But after the Moon - Saturn transit there was no need to do so anymore.

Hello there Dakota,
I have a Moon-Saturn conjunction in Virgo H12.
I think Moon – Saturn suggests a fear of emotions, with the house which the planets are in suggesting where this will manifest in your life.
So my conjunction is in H12 so I keep my emotions hidden even from myself, causing me to be a bit numb.
Your conjunction is in H8 so you allow yourself to see you emotions but hide them from everyone, maybe you see them as a bit taboo, rather intimate and maybe a bit embarrassing?
Just an idea
(This is my first post by the way… hello! :) )
