Hello there. I'm still struggling with the concepts of dignity and reception. If two significators are ruled by the same planet or are in the same sign, what is the significance? What if they are in the same house but not sign? Thanks for help.

The context of the horaryshould give you the hint, Francesca. So you find two significators in the same sign/house. That means that they are pretty much in the same place. Which one of them is stronger in that place depends on the dignity it has.
Example; Saturn and Mars both in Leo. Both planets are natural malefic ruled by Leo. That shows a lot that they have in common. However, Saturn is in detriment in Leo while Mars isn't. This shows that, while they are in similar positions, Saturn is taking it harder than Mars.
They are both received by the Sun. If the Sun is a main significator in the question, then these placement shows that the Sun "cares" about Saturn and Mars, but puts Saturn in a bad position. Saturn probably doesn't like the Sun because of the detriment it give it, but Mars is probably indifferent.
Does that answer you question?

Thank you, Sorehearted. I finally have the Frawley book but he doesn't answer questions like that.
