Virgo with Scorpio Rising

really? I am having problems BECAUSE of the Scorpio Rising - I hate the way it scares some people away apparently - even though I am a nice, friendly, down to earth people. I don't get why people don't want anything to do with some Scorpio Risings.

My chart says that Pluto is 24 degrees Virgo. I am not sure what the "1st" is yet - I am still fuzzy on the "house" stuff and how it goes with the rest of my chart.

It is not that is it "scary" per se but some people are "repelled" by the intensity of it I guess. They either love you or they hate you - no matter how nice or a person you might be. Well, I guess it is there loss eh - they must be pretty weak if they can't take it. :)

My sister though is a virgo with scorpio rising. also, her moon is in aries. I'm just saying, a virgo with moon in fire is not the typical virgo! My sister does have alot of fire in her chart though and sun and mars i think in 10th house. Shes a really forceful virgo.

an aquarius has told me before that I had an intimidating look. she said she felt that when i looked at her, i could see right through her (she did not have any contact with astrology btw). on top of it, saturn close to ascendant sees right through superficiality.

Scorpio Rising simply can mean intensity. Intensity of will and intensity of focus. It can mean incredibly seductive and sexual but it doesn't always have to lead a to physical place. It can also be spiritual in its search for ecstasy through enlightment via its unique connection to motivating and rejuvenating power, of which is often dispelled or reconnected through the sex act, but not always and does not have to seen this way, neither explicitly, or even implicitly. It can simply be power.

So, are you saying it is rare for a virgo/scorp to have a moon in a fire sign or that is just makes us very unusual? Yes, unusual would be a good word to describe me. I wouldn't call myself forceful but I am definately opininated and passionate about what I believe. I guess that could be a trait from a virgo/scorp combo. Not sure how the fire sign comes into play though. Maybe I get hot-headed about my somethings? Actually, not really, I am usually pretty cool - I think the knives come out when someone really hurts me. :)

Hmm, well I have had people say stuff like that about my eyes - they are very blue and catch peoples attention. But when I am around a Scorpio Sun I, myself, feel that way - that they can see right through me! But I still want to be around them. I wonder if that is what other people are thinking about me? I do think I can read people pretty well just by feelings and inuition most of the time.

The idea of having "a net" kinda of appeals to my mischievous, powerful side ...although I don't really use it most of the time or I forget too! - hopefully it runs independantly and its automatic. :)

Hey! I was just giving an example because your combination made me think of my sister. Her moon is in aries (more forceful than sagittarius). Normally, from what I read, the moon sign is somehow unconscious, how people closest to you (family) may see you. I definitely see my sister as half an aries :)

In your case, I would say perhaps there is a firery influence to your sun sign, more expansive, perhaps love of travelling, love of being outside, joviality :) with other indications in the chart, i would say probably great in school, teaching, academics..

Not to sound like a lesbian creep here, but I really like girls with that combination. I like the sweetness and vulnerability of a Virgo affected girl and a seductive quality in Scorpio. Did you know that Natalie Portman has a Moon (not sun I know) in Virgo and a rising sign in Scorpio? She seems intense but sweet. She's my favorite actress :innocent: I don't know anyone with that combination but I would sure love to meet one. I'm weird or a bit odd, I have my Sun in Gemini, Asc in Aquarius and Moon in Pisces. I wonder what kind of combination would be good for that? I was compatible with a Libra Sun and Moon in Libra but the feelings didn't boomerang :( They say we're most compatible if the one's Sun, Asc, and Moon are in the same element.

Sun in Gemini ASC in Aquarius and Moon in Pisces.... how is that weird and bit odd, as you put it? I think that combination sounds very wonderful and kind. You have a open, tolerant mind, and a kind compassionate underlying motivation to your being... what could be better... besides my combination of course ;) Just kidding... don't be so hard on yourself, people are who they are... just be honest with yourself and what you want.

As for Natalie Portman, yeah she's great isn't she? So cool, love all of her roles. Especially that one in that movie Closer..... I also like V for Vendetta but she seemed more like a passive onlooker (I could be wrong though, the matter could be up to interpretation)... I liked her best as Queen Amidalah. :) Home is where the Heart is was cool too... she seemed honest and sensitive and I liked Sally Field's brief role with her.... a different role for Sally as I remember it...

I just thought of this other movie she's in... Garden State. I think that was the first movie I ever saw her in. She was awesome!

As for N.P. :cool: the movie is actually called Where the Heart Is. :w00t: :shrugs: It was a good movie and I really liked how honest her character was and how absolutely ridiculous her boyfriend was and then she met that really swell fellow :happy: who worked in a Library, who was actually kind of put off by her but attracted to her at the same time. I think he thought it was strange how everyone just trusted her or something, or maybe more, how she could so trusting and so honest with herself and with everyone else. He thought it was stupid, if I remember correctly, or not so bright, or maybe he wanted to test her I don't really know! :whistling: I think he was just attracted to her and had been hurt before. Who hasn't? :sad: Something about it being brutally honest (some people call it sappy but I know I sure don't... I have more of an issue with things being canned and artificial, which there was nothing about this movie that was, it was very authentic and I think for some people that authenticity can seem strange... they want things straight-forward but only out of a need for comfort, rather than ingenuity plus faithfulness and genuine connection to what matters most... kind of the point of the movie I suppose... hah... got me started! :smile:)

Garden State yeah was good... I watched it when I was first living on my own so it sort characterized my time during my life then. That and the movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and I think a whole lot of Family Guy. :biggrin:

I think its the whole mix of signs. but I do definitely see that virgo moon and the asc. shes got the innocent look of the virgo moon but the gemini part sparks interest. Yep, that is us Virgo/Scorps - totally confusing! I have been told that myself. There is that underneath "seductive" quality but I have Virgo (sun) so I still have that "reserved" quality also. I can see that in Natalie Portman. Quiet yet seductive.

Believe it or not, it isn't always a plus neither. That Scorpio Rising drives people away from us Virgos which stinks because we are so nice. :)

You're right. That's a really good way of describing it. She has an eclectic line up which allows her remarkable flexibility with each of the very different characters she portrays.
