Is my mother spiritually guiding me?

She passed away August 7, 2007. She died peacefully in her bed, lost the battle to cancer. She was a very religious woman... she was non-denominational. She read her bible and prayed every night. She was a very positive woman. She was also a very powerful woman. She did her best to raise me. She made it past my graduation and she made it past my birthday which was August 6, and hers was August 3rd.

After studying Astrology for a while I've realized that the 8th house is about psychic abilities. The eighth house has a profound psychic connection. Also, death and reincarnation in the eighth house.

My Mother had Jupiter in the 8th house in Capricorn on her chart, and Jupiter is a powerful planet... I don't know. Lately, anytime I meditate or work on what I do, I feel Goosebumps on my back and feel a warmth globe around my body. Based on this horary chart is that my mother spirit or just my emotions whenever I have a good feeling of my music or feel good?

I'm really sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. Maybe you havent got alot of responses because horary questions about more ethereal subjects are sometimes harder to verify in the chart.

I will have a go... North Node in the 12th house is interesting, and quite aptly describes a spiritual question. 12th house traditionally rules sorrows and secrets, but also in modern terms it rules spirituality, unconscious and spirits. Also the 9th house might to a degree.

You are Saturn, ruler of the north Node as well, so there is a connection there. I also feel you should trust your instincts on this, the first thing that comes to your mind is quite often the accurate instinct.

Something that I do sometimes is see if a planet in the horary is conjunct a natal planet. And I see the horary Moon is conjunct your Mother's IC. The IC marks the end point of the life, the roots and the base. There is a correlation there also. Moon also opposing Neptune, (not traditionally used), Neptune rules ethereal things also...

Also, (not traditionally used), an interesing yod is formed to the ascendant, from Moon and Sun, two of the life givers in the skies. Yod is a karmic aspect, pointing to you. Saturn is also trine the ascendant, you are intune with what you are thinking at the time of asking the question.

I would say yes, your Mother is spiritually guiding you.

Hi i just wanted to say how sorry i am about the loss of your mother
but~ please know she is always with you~ love never dies and i do beleive the ones we love are around us always ~we can feel them as u say please continue your meditation~you will become more aware of this as u continue and look for signs

What you are asking is if your MOTHER (4th/Taurus/Venus) in her DEATH (8th houses from 4th = 11th/Sag/Jupiter) is guiding YOU (Asc/Cap/Saturn).

You turn the chart around in your mind with 4th as if it were her Asc and renumber the houses to find her houses of endings. All the rulers of those say NO.

I say a qualified 'no,' because I think that you have some things to learn about guidance from the other side. I once had a message from my uncle through my mom, his sister, come to me after he died. I have sometimes felt him near me, but he is not one of my guides. Each person has two guides on the other side and the only thing that changes that is completing and/or voiding your karma, at which point some or all of your guides step aside. Then you qualify for three Master guides. Generally, we do not step right into guideship after dying. The relationship with those still here exists and what you feel is probably the purity of her love for you. She might even have messages for you, but guidance is a different story. She completed her job of guidance of you here at the human earthly level. It sounds like she did an amazing job. You are very blessed.

Using that rationale, the querent and she dwell together in the 8th. I know what it is like to lose a mother; it is a long grieving period. The 8th house covers grief, I believe. Moreover, that house is ruled by a strong Mercury and one of that deity's many roles was as Psychopomp, or conductor of souls. In fact an elderly astrologer taught me that a strong but retrograde Mercury in a natal chart indicated mediumistic talents.

I believe your mother looks in on you, tries to encourage you. I see her hands, restless and strong, always trying to tie up loose ends literally and figuratively. That may be all wrong, but this verse from proverbs is not;

"Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is that above rubies."

I agree with this too, I have read different authors using either 4th or 10th houses. I just study which applies through personal experience.
