Will X be the city mayor?

There has been a loss of a strong city mayor who, before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, (he) was going to run for governor on the next elections—with equally strong chances to win. He died a couple of weeks ago. The pain was felt on the whole island, people from all political parties, from his and beyond city limits were sad about his death. There were impressive funeral events—people came to pay their respect from all over.

His political party, needed to fill that (city hall-mayor) vacancy; the political party’s machine had arranged to get his son to fill his late father’s position—to become the new mayor. However, the attempts were spoiled by another political man (a legislature representative), an ambitious candidate who had made some public and private (underhanded, dark) moves to get voted by the local party’s directive as the new mayor. After winning a close delegate election, this guy was considered by many as a traitor and a liar for the things he has done to get there.

The president of that political party had to swallow the bitter pill--the outcome-- since the process itself was a democratic exercise (for some there were some favors to be paid by the new mayor). However, there is already some kind of movement to invalid (reject) that outcome- election.

Anyway, I draw a chart to see whether the son’s late mayor would become the mayor after all is done.

Mercury, is in his own sign and house—making him a strong and honest candidate (this man has no political experience, seems to be an honest individual). Under the limited use I give to the trans-saturnian planets in Horary, I cannot resist the temptation of watching how Jupiter (his rival’s rulers and his elective position ruler as well) has just separated from a conjunction from unexpected upside-down- turn of events Uranus—in his own direction/status house! It was indeed unexpected.

His rival’s public image has fell in disgrace, seen as a traitor—well represented by having left Pisces (strong position) and moving into Aries (losing lots of dignity). The critical degree representing how desperate this man was to gain the election at whatever cost; in about zero degree of Aries---the whole island learned about his dirty tricks (not detailed here).

Back to the candidate of interest, the past sextile to Jupiter also suggests his thoughts and possibilities to gain the seat. However, I see no direct or indirect connection between him and his wanted mayor position.

In my opinion, the new unexpected mayor will be able to hang in there. I believe that he will maintain the support of the people that supported him—even though he is currently being seen as a man of no words and no loyalty…

Any opinion here?
