Hi,
Since I am new here.. I dont know which place I should post this new thread.. so I choose Natal house place to begin with my question.

I just read about the Secret of the 22nd Degree of each zodiac sign by Nikola Stojanovic in his website. http://www.astrologyinserbia.com/e/knjige/tajne/tajna_22.htm

Its about the Zodiac degrees has shown that the 22nd degree of any of the Zodiac signs was often active with the assassins or the killed.

I do have this degree in my Ascendant 22 cancer 15'50", and I dont know if Mars in 22 Aries 27'25" is included too.

This degree makes me so worry.. I dont want to believe it but should I just ignore it.. He gave so many examples thats makes me scared..

Worry

This 22 degree concept (in my opinion) stems from the 22nd drekkana (decan) concept in Vedic (jyostish) astrology; there is (in my opinion) something to the concept, but please realize this matter must be evaluated within the context of the totality of astrological influences + trends regarding the particular individual involved-please disregard all blanket, one-size-fits-all, sweeping generalizations, whether in the field of astrology or healing or relationships, or anywhere else you run across them!!

Hi,
As I understand it, the 22 degrees principle applies to planets in fixed signs.Yours are in cardinal signs.Your Mars is exalted, by sign and house.

I find the website "lacking" it doesn't post the whole chart, or even consider any possibility that they may have something else in common, none of the charts are posted, Nor the source of where they got the DOB/TIME from.

They also include quotes without a source.

There are alot better studies done, a better one points out that astrologers and murderers have more in common based on astrological positions.

Not to mention that the site omits the gazillion charts of murderers and murdered who have no planets or angles in the 22nd degree.

maybe my worries is unfounded..

dr. farr> So you mean the concept in Vedic (jyostish) astrology is different with the western astrology. I never do my chart in Vedic astrology and I dont know if I have the placement in that particular degree.
Regarding with the context of the totality of astrological influences plus trends, I should not conclude the degree alone without taking the other aspects in my natal chart that supposedly support the outcome?

lilly> Where can I find about this 22 degree principle thats applies to planets in fixed signs.. any books or websites so I will understand more.. your reply makes me feel relieve.. thanks.

Niplan> Ya Niplan, you are very right. I should not believe on instance what I have just read. Thats why I post this to have others opinions. And thanks to all of you who just gave me some ideas about it.

Cheers.. No worries anymore

I have natal Mars in Pisces 22 degrees retrograde HOWEVER if this is a Vedic thing then that would change the sign and degree for many people.

In Vedic that changes my Mars to Aquarius 28 degrees retrograde.

To find out your Vedic numbers at Astro.com instead of western choose Hindu Lihri to the right of the word zodiac.

+The 22nd drekkana concept in Vedic is not found in Western astrological lore; in Vedic it refers to the 22nd decanate from the decanate in which the Ascendant degree of the chart is found; there are rather complex rules for judging the malignancy (or otherwise) of the 22nd drekkana, and the technique is mostly applied in predictive (rather than analytical natal) worik

+About the totality of astrological influences, your above statment is exactly what I meant:biggrin:!

Hi, you sound very new to astrology and I would suggest starting with basics and working your way around that, then secondary progressions, then transits and let's not forget solar arcs:love:
