Make a living out of it.
I have a strong Mercury. Does that prove I would be a good astrologer?.

I don't see why not. You have the analytical ability of Virgo and yet the strong and yet practical intuition of the Scorpio Moon working together. When you look and analyze a chart (I am also Virgo and tend to overanalyze and get too bogged down in detail when looking at charts preventing me to see clearly )
Rather..Do you see better and able to point things out clearly? Your moon in Scorpio would lead me to believe that

I might be wrong but is astrology itself a 12th house subject? Michael, with Mars and Venus in Leo may have the appreciation and passion needed to be a professional astrologer?

For Astrology, look to Mercury, the 9th house (whole sign) and if Mercury rules or is in the 11th sign from the part of fortune to see if you can make a living out of astrology

It's a long held generally known belief that Uranus rules astrology
I have never heard it attributed to 12th house matters either.
Mercury square Neptune is difficult insomuch as it can lead to self deception, illusions, confusions and deliberate (white lies type) deception.
Neptune is opp N Node and square to mercury suggesting you may follow a few false trails to find your calling.
Your pluto is a singleton ie: only planet in air which your chart lacks and I have noticed this element can sometimes lead to people who make sweeping statements (for effect) with not enough thought put behind them.
That scorpio moon is square to mars in 12th which can make again for too forceful speech patterns or even argumentative
Jupiter conj Uranus can be considered lucky in Saggi but it can also act to quickly and cut it's nose off to spite it's face occasionally to. :pouty:
This is a rather subjective chart with everything below the horizon and trapped in 12th house where it's frustrated
Do you have a plan B?

Plan B: Visual Artist, inventor, even scientist.
Returning to topic:
12th house deals with the hidden and occult. And having Mars in Leo there, is a powerful sign for hidden personal power. I have read that powerful magicians have that configuration.
Michel Gauquelin found that sportsman with Mars in 12th house tended to win after struggling at the beggining of the race.
Do you remember Aesop's fable of the Tortoise and the hare?. Who won at the end?.

Well, about mercury square neptune, it could have some positives too. There are successful, honest people with this aspect. It could be difficult to deal with, distinct thoughts, but different, interesting possibilities can come from it.
It can help with artistic talent. From what I've seen, astrologers focus primarily on the basics, or they have specialties. Such as focusing on certain asteroids, etc. There are lots of asteroids out there, and you know what that means, from one mercury square neptune person to another
yes of course you are right. This aspect could make a great salesperson, have great imagination and poss a penchant for writing 'imaginary' pose, books childrens things..... lots of possibilities really

I'd say go by your feedback from those you've done charts for. What have your clients said? (Whether they paid at the time or you did it for free)

Although Mercury shows how and what we learn and how we communicate knowledge it is Uranus that is the planet of astrological science and as it is conjunct Jupiter in Sagittarius in the 3rd it is very strong for learning and teaching the subject as Jupiter deals with higher learning and lecturing as well as an interest in the universal truths..... YOu need to have a strong 10th house for professions and the 6th house also for everyday work. Uranus rules that house and is another indication of working with astrology, it makes a wide connection to Mercury in the 1st.
I feel that you will have two careers or jobs and astrology may well be a part time occupation. It can be a difficult field to find a very successful career with but if you were to write articles or books on the subject it would increase your chances as well having a school.
Good luck

I have always strived to be a leader. But politics has only interested me recently. I have even thought to become president of my country.
Does that interest in politics make sense in my chart?.
