Hi. I've been dabbling in astrology for quite some time now and I do not understand the confusion behind the position of the Sun in my birth chart. It is at 29 58' 12'' Degrees so close to exiting scorpio and entering sagg. I've read about it being inside a 'critical degree' but I still don't understand. Can anyone shed some light on my chart?

I think when its the sun sign you may have mixed traits of scorpio and sagi in your personality. I read it somewhere. Do you feel that you have scorpio traits? I see that mercury is in sagi, and conjunct the sun. So I also think it would strengthen your sagi traits regarding mentality etc.
I have my moon for example in about 29 degrees virgo, almost entering libra. Some on this forum said it was some kind of weakness I think? But I do have Sun in Libra AND mars/venus in virgo. So both signs are important in my case I guess. Also moon is moving faster... So not sure if the same goes for sun sign.
Maybe you also can analyze the midpoints?

Warm welcome to forum,
0, 13, and 26 degrees of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn);
8-9 and 21-22 degrees of fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius); and
4 and 17 degrees of mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These are considered sensitive, and sometimes strengthening, points. If a natal planet is found in a critical degree, that planet is emphasized and assumes more power in the life of the native due to its placement.
Many astrologers consider 0 and 29 degrees of any sign critical degrees as well. The 0 and 29 degrees are more crisis-oriented points, especially in predictive work.

When your in your in, when your out your out, to me there is no mixed traits going on. His basic core beliefs and values will be scorpio BUT by secondary progression will have spend the next 30 taking on Saggi traits, then Cappi traits, then Aquarius traits.....
Did you relocate age 2? were there some disruptions age 9 in home with family?
You have a bucket chart with retograde Jupiter as handle.

Your mercury is a singleton ie: only planet in fire which your charts lack this element
Singleton planets
“If a planet happens to be the only one in an element, quality, or house type, that planet is a Singleton and it can funnel all of the “energy” of the horoscope. This planet is often the most important one in the horoscope. In other words, if you just interpret the position of this one planet by sign, house, and aspect, you will get to the “heart of the horoscope”. The effect is the same as if that planet were the only one on one side of the chart.”

Your prog sun now is approx 20' in Capricorn. 4years ago was there some romance?
Your natal chart is like a photograph as unique as your fingerprint, BUT the 10planets in the sky have not stayed where they were in your natal chart, they have all moved. Predictive astrology is mostly maths where those 10planets are now and the mathematical aspects they make to your natal charts ie: 180'=opposition, 90'=square, 60'=sextile and 120'=trine.
So your personality, grows, develops, changes, matures as we get older, this is reflected by your sun sign changing from it's natal position to the next sign along, so does your Asc and MC sign change. In fact from sun to mars especially are important, as the outer planets really don't move much, using a 'day for a year' secondary progressions.

The most important of progressed planets is of course, sun & moon and then upto mars, as the outer planets hardly move by progression. Now like with transits, solar arcs --- it's what these progressed planets are doing NOW by mathematical aspect to your natal planets and Angles that is ultimately important.
Also I would take this opportunity to mention there is a ‘plethora’ of information in every forum top, called 'stickys' which cover, explain in great depth what each forum is all about, plus we have an Education forum for further research..

How confident Vagabondgirl are you of your 'time?' I notice you put 6.30pm when in realit it's rare to be born on the o'clock, half past and quarters. The moon is the fastest moving planet and 4minutes in time - 1' on Asc and poss a change of moon sign. So play about to see when it changes signs and how much time it would take before that happens on astro.com
