Hi all, my name's Scott.
I've been interested and studying astrology intensely for the past 6months. I have a question regarding this combo 'Cancer sun/Gemini moon'. Most information i can find in regards to this states that indecision may be a lifelong problem for these people, and internally they are never very sure of themselves. - Which i do hope alters with maturity.
This rings true for me in almost all aspects of life, i find it extremely hard to ever just decide on anything. I also have a Pisces Midheaven which i feel only contributes to this.
I find myself more drawn to creative outlets, rather then academics even though i have a strong Gemini contingency, although indecisiveness plays an inhibiting role.
Rising: Gemini
Sun: Cancer
Moon: Gemini
Mercury: Gemini
Mars: Leo
Venus: Leo
Jupiter: Gemini
Saturn: Capricorn
Uranus: Capricorn
Neptune: Capricorn
Pluto: Scorpio
Thanks for any in-depth interpretations of my chart, i've scoured as much information as i can through means of books and internet, and now turning to peoples opionions as an extra dimensional layer of information.

Welcome to AW,
Basic astrology
Now basically your sun sign is your 'core beliefs, values, ego' and Asc is your physical body, mode of expression and mask and persona that we all wear and hide behind, but definitely not what's going on underneath. What's going on underneath is your Sun sign. Moon sign, house placements and aspects describe your emotional and intuitive responses, also describes your view of your mother, as saturn describes your father by sign and house position.
So, think of a glass milk bottle the bottle is your Asc and your sun the milk, but the milk still has to 'come out' through the glass neck of the milk bottle....
Now aspects within a natal chart represent 'facets' of our personality, because we are all multifaceted beings. What these do is 'break down and compartmentalise' these facets into smaller bite size chunks. This does take quite a lot of self analysis and objectivity to 'see yourself' and why you do certain things and behave in certain ways. Actually it can be quite good therapy...
Remember back to your school days an opposition is 180', square 90', trine 120', and sextile 60' Now challenged aspects are conj (depending on the planets, cos some like each other and some really don't) squares and oppositions. Easy aspects are conj (if the planets get along) eg: Jupiter conj Moon, sextile and trine. Quincunx is inbetween (depending on the planets) causes health strains and unresolved or hard to balance planets/energies.

You do have two stelliums --http://www.therealastrology.com/HTML/FAQS/AspectPatterns.html#Stellium
Pisces, gemini and libra are similar, rather restless, procrastinating and indecisive. Mercury conj Jupiter tends to overtalk when it needs to be quiet and undertalk when it should open up. attach that to Moon -- emotions and vacillation.
Cancer and Virgo are what I call the two 'worriers' of the zodiac but having your cancer sun in 2nd house naturally ruled by taurus will help ground you a little.
Now mars:mars: square :square: pluto:pluto: is challenging and tends to attract physical violence or give it out.
You have a tendency to impose your will upon others, which can cause severe problems for yourself when they react in self-defense. You have a hair-trigger temper and may even resort to verbal or physical abuse when upset. Learning to react to unpleasant circumstances with your intellect rather than your emotions comes with maturity.
It is all too easy for you to find something negative about a situation. Avoid issuing ultimatums when you meet an obstacle. Instead, find a way to convince others to work with you of their own free will

:mars::square::pluto:
"produces a forceful nature. Often your actions can be described only as reckless. Yet you are cautious and secretive about your projects, especially as you mature and develop. When frustrated, you may become abusive and display much temper. This aspect suggests that your sexual drive is strong, and may not be well controlled at times. This is a very physical aspect needing control and channeling. When you can control actions, this aspect can be positive as it shows a penchant for eliminating, by force, the unacceptable and unnecessary in your life. You can develop a very focused concentration on progressive issues"

also worth researching is your Neptune square Asc
"You may have some inner doubts about yourself that make it difficult for others to pick up a strong impression of whom you really are. Until you cultivate a firmer picture of whom you really want to be, other people will continue to find it hard to figure out the real you. This can be a plus if you're an actor or a spy. It comes in handy if you ever need to blend into the background, too. Your sensitive side can be like a sponge that soaks up all the woes of the world and troubled souls are often attracted to your aura. It's a fine thing to want to help, but you must learn to draw some boundaries in this regard, because you can be very vulnerable to getting sucked into other people's realities"

Wow, thankyou astrologer50 for the informative post! I wasn't aware of the concept of 'stelliums' so that definitely has allowed for further insight.
It seem's as though my Neptune sqaure Ascendant could be the root of my issues with myself, thank-you for pointing that out.. i will definitley be researching further into that.

Well,
as an older (three years:)) Cancer s/Gemini m can't really say the indecision has gone anywhere.
But don't worry. "Elämä on laiffii" (life is life) would say a Cancer sun/Gemini moon Matti Nykänen.

I think there's a deeper cut to take at this. Gemini is really the "inquiring mind": life is such a big buffet table of things to sample and taste! With Gemini dignified in its own sign, you are probably a lifelong learner and a great conversationalist. Cancer is deeply caring and self-protective, which versatile Gemini can either accommodate or it can choose to cover up your inner self.
But that Neptune opposite sun can give you you life-long doubts about your identity, and where you're heading in life. Just when you think you've set your compass bearing, Neptune comes along and makes you feel that what you thought was very real is illusory. Then Chiron conjunct your sensitive sun makes you very wary of having your feelings hurt: it's hard just to brush off bad stuff.
The really powerful aspect in your chart, however, is your sun trine Pluto. If you can use the hurts you experience in life to gain in experience and compassion for others, you can make very profound and positive changes, both in your own life and in the lives of those around you. Just so long as you can control your temper and stress level, especially in romantic/sexual involvements, with your Venus/Mars conjunction square Pluto. I think you have to walk a narrow tight-rope in life, because the minute your negative impulses get the better of you, then people will push-back and resist you. When you work from your caring and life-promoting nature, you can accomplish a lot of beneficial work.
Gemini is a "dual" sign, by the way!
