about those astro.com charts.......

I noticed that many of you know how to get these charts to appear on the post, thereby saving others the trouble of taking the time to draw up their own chart. This would be very helpful to me, if I only knew how. Alas, I am still pretty computer illiterate. Would anyone please outline the procedure to get these lovely charts to appear on my posts? I am well acquainted with Astro.com and know how to get the charts generated -- just don't know how to get 'em on here.

Took me a while to figure this one out too! :) Here is how I do it:

1. create the chart and save it as an image (usually GIF or JPEG file) to your computer
2. Go to an image hosting service. I use www.imageshack.us. Another one is www.photobucket.com
3. For imageshack, select the 'upload file' option, and press 'browse'
4. select the GIF/JPEG chart image from your computer, and press 'open'
5. Press 'host it' on the imageshack web page
6. Highlight the text in the box 'Thumbnail for forums (1)' and copy, or cut
7. paste that text into your post at this site. It should end up looking like this:

[example....URL=http://img207.imageshack.us/my.php?image=schartmu1.gif][example...IMG]http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/8711/schartmu1.th.gif[/IMG][/URL]

without the word 'example' in it twice. It should post a chart like this:

http://img53.imageshack.us/img53/505/lisschartvj8.th.gif (http://img53.imageshack.us/my.php?image=lisschartvj8.gif)

That's me! :) If you click on it, it should open large enough to read. There is more than one way to post charts, and more than one site that hosts images, so try around till you work out what suits you. If you have any problems, I'll do my best to answer.
