Ok, so here`s the deal. Until recently I had been putting havana, cuba as my birthplace in all the reports I`ve done for myself. As you can see here (http://www.fallingrain.com/world/CU/2/La_Habana.html) the coordinates of havana, cuba are 23° 7' 55N and 82° 21' 51W
But-- until recently i`ve realized that i could make this a tad more precise and that perhaps just perhaps my ascendat and house-cusps would change--and maybe evnen my moon sign if there was a dst birth time difference or something (gasp!) and so you can imagine how eager i was to try this thing out! so ya, i went on google, looked up el cerro, my birth town, and voila! there it was :] thos beautiful little coordinates smiling back at me. --here (http://www.fallingrain.com/world/CU/9/El_Cerro.html).
And ze coordinates arrre!-- 20° 8' 59N and 76° 57' 24W
so it did change a little bit. i`m not sure if it`s enough to change anything majorly in my chart..but my biggest concern is my ascendant right now. I`m just having trouble with the time zone and dst and whatnot and whatnot so i would REeeelly :-D appreciate it if somebody oh just somebody would figure out for me once and for all what my house cusp rulers are, my mc, my asc, you know all that gpod stuff. Seriously, i get different things for every site. Really, it would be awesome if someone could tell me to the last degree.
You can find the exact details of the place i was born here (http://www.fallingrain.com/world/CU/9/El_Cerro.html) it even tells you nearby cities and their populations. i think manzanillo is pretty close and most sites seem to have it listed, still, though i would really appreciate it if someone put in the exact coordinates for maximum precision =] =] lol
i`m sorry if it seems that i`m just coming on here like blah blah blah ok ok all i care about is myself, but for now, yeah haha. that is my main concern. lmao. whenever i get to helping someone else it feels like i never get to it because i blab on and don`t get to the main thing they need help with and just go on about other things i feel may be helpful to them. actually, i`m doing about 5 reports for people right now but i`m even reluctant to do it now b/c the data in there might be all wrong if all this stuff is really all that important.
but really, though i just need someone who understands how time zones and dst works and how it relates to astrology cuz i`m pretty blank in that area. Also, it would be nice if you could explain it to me so that in the future i could know how to use that knowledge to help somebody else.

Ok, i`ve just figured it all out thanks to this site (http://www.astrowin.org/natal_reports/index.php). I realized how stupid it was to put 10:34 instead of 14:34, my original birth time b/c i believed the dst to be 4 hours. haha. haha. i got that from the page where it shows all the data for el cerro ..where it says -4DT. I don`t see anywhere else on that page where it might say DST applies, but i know for sure it does, so i thought that might be it. Oh wait a minute, this site is about like rain fall in different areas or something..why would the even put whether dst applies or not on there? ooh, ok these are times when astro.com is definitely handy.
Still, though, I have that other, still pending question..what does the "(-4DT)" in UTC-5(-4DT) mean??

Wow! I just realized i posted this under vocational astrology...OMG! wow!! i`m so crazy!!

anyways all is said and done and it turns out that my ascendant isn`t under libra, but scorpio! ohh boy! and my mc is now in leo! used to be in cancer. woo big change character-wise, and it makes more sense now! i always felt i had a leo mc cuz i felt i was destined to do something 'special' or be something 'special'. Not too much has changed in regards to my house cusps and planet positions ..ah i wanna go. i`m gonna go read all about it now. I still do have that question, it`d still be cool if i got it answered. :)
