New ascendant?

Hi guys! I've been reading & learning about secondary progressions and it's kind of neat! Now, I was born Virgo rising and now it's Libra rising (changed for me this year); I'm wondering if I should then make Libra rising my new 1st house in predictive astrology and in everything that pertains to me.....also, I got 2 different sample progressive charts and, for instance, one says my Sun is in the 10th house while the other says is in the 9th, Mercury in the 9th and in the 8th on the other.....:confused: . Could someone please help me settle this? Does degrees and/or hour of birth have something to do with it? Will gladly appreciate any opinions!
