Hi, I'm wondering what the significance of POF would be in this chart? I'm trying to develop this person's potential. Yes, I do know that the whole natal chart is important and I have looked at that. I just think POF is an important point to consider as well.
Firstly, I see POF in 5th house in Libra, so I would guess working with children/childrearing would be a major focus point in their lives. It's square the 2nd house stellium in Cancer (Saturn, Mars and Venus). So perhaps teaching disadvantaged kids as career/promoting children's rights? I can see the whole chart itself has a strong focus on the 2nd house, so I think that security will be a major theme in their life and this will resound with that theme.
I know I'll probably get a smack on the fingers from the forum members for looking at asteroids so much in this thread, but I find it also interesting that Ceres is in the 6th, one of which means workplace.
What do you think?

POF is square to saturn, venus and mercury, suggesting delays limitations and frustrations....
Career options are assessed by MC any planets conjunct, where the ruler of MC is placed, it’s aspects, then 2nd house ‘how you earn your money’ and planets there, ruler of cusp and where it’s placed, then 6th house of ‘type of work you do’ any planets there and how they are aspected.
Researching rulers of houses will help you understand more where I joining the dots so to speak

MC in pisces usually suggests the caring professions, hospitals, nursing home, 'tea and sympathy' counselling. the chart lacks the element of earth but to compensate has stellium in 2nd naturally ruled by taurus with taurus Asc.
That stellium venus, mercury conj saturn suggests much hard work,, duty responsibilities on how she earns a living. Taurus loves property, developing property - renting things out, secure investments. Cancerians (like Cappi) can be shrewd in business and good with money and hanging onto it longer andharder than the rest of us.
Uranus conj MC suggests lots of changes and being rebellius in career matters, ruler of MC Neptune in 9th suggests and interest in higher learning, teaching and having moon their suggests she could work and live abroad at some point in her life. Neptune is retrograding well aspected and wide orb conj with moon

Thanks astrologer50, it's nice to have that sort of info. I was more hoping for a discussion though on it.... Oh, and it's a 'he' not a 'she'. I have heard that the POF is completely positive so that's why I'm focusing on it - because I like to focus on positives :). I thought MC stood for career whereas to me POF seems to stand for calling.... I think the Pisces MC really feeds into the POF fifth house/Libra focus, as well as the strong Cancer element in the chart.
dhundhun, it is the Placidus system...

The chart has intercepted Cancer/Capricorn.
Couple of planets get intercepted (hindden) and from there, they afflict par fortuna. You may have tendency to lose fortune (good luck) due to hidden resources and un-expressed self image.
So how can this be righted? Come on, I'm trying to develop potential, and there's a lot of potential there, I can't just focus on the doom and gloom:wink:. There's a lot of empathy in that chart, a lot of care, a lot of love for children.

sorry but Saturn is debilating by the hard aspect/square from 2/3rd houses of self worth and communications :whistling:
T Pluto is currently creating a grand square with sun, jupiter and mars -- this is what is challenging. Sun opp pluto can suggests problems with men, father, authority figures, square to jupiter -poss legal problems. All this has to do with 8th house matters, transformation, death and rebirth, joint finances, sex, inheritances etc. T Pluto will next year make and exact square to mars in 11th and this will challenge mars expression and ego energies -- all to do with control or be controlled and there may be little she can do about this. It's a spiritual Lesson, test or exam
Pluto opp sun
"This is a time of power struggles and contests of will. Powerful people (such as government officials, CEO's, politicians and district attorneys, etc) may be at odds with your position and you may have to defend yourself (if your nativity is eminent). Often, popularity is not with you and you feel that you are swimming upstream against the wills of others. Watch a tendency to be insubordinate at this time. Others may oppose your success."

Pluto square Jupiter
"There may be attempts by others to sway your opinions or change your beliefs for political ends. You may come into contact with radical ideas in religion or philosophy. This combination represents religious extremism, terrorism, and vigilantism. Often there is the need to deal with corruption in connection with ethics and morality. You may be either a victim or perpetrator of the abuse of power or authority. There may be a temptation to overstep your jurisdiction or authority on some issue during this period. Remember that two wrongs don't make a right."

Pluto square mars
"This is a time when you must be careful about potential clashes of ego. The energies of this transit can be very ruthless and strike with great force or violence. In work, there is the potential that you may push yourself so hard to get ahead that you have a health breakdown or injury. You may also push so hard that you stir up violent and subversive opposition to your efforts. You may have defend yourself against attack, not necessarily physically, but that potential certainly exists. Be careful about being in bad neighborhoods or in associations with shady individuals."

Middle Oct T Saturn will conj Natal jupiter causing slow downs, limitations and delays to Jupiter plans for expansion. So whatever is planned do it before this time.

Sorry I found none of your replies helpful as it was focusing on predictive astrology and not on natal astrology. As well, it was quite unethical as it was focusing ONLY on the negative.

That's a very ungrateful, ungracious attitude here:pouty: I took great lengths and pains to respond. You could always go pay a professiona astrologer to use flattery and nice words but here you get the unadulterated truths!
I'm not going to focus on POF as you suggested cos we have all said it's debilitated by Saturn --
SO, if we must focus on 5th house matters then let's look at Jupiter, well aspected with trines to Neptune and Moon
From the book ‘Aspects and Personality’ by Karen Hamaker-Zondag
Jupiter trine Neptune
"The harmonious aspects between Jupiter and Neptune make us just as idealistic and dreamy as the conjunction does, but there is a fair chance that we shall be able to express ourselves more easily with the former in our charts than with the latter. However this ease of expression can be accompanied by passivity we have definite artistic and musical talents but may fail to develop them."
Moon‑Jupiter Trine
(quite rare) "Get away with murder" aspect. Generosity of spirit. Expansive imagination
“The harmonious aspects between the Moon and Jupiter give inner harmony and optimism and, for the most part, outer composure. This person is usually so confident that everything will turn out right that he or she attracts the good fortune in which he or she believes. Not for nothing does the tradition reckon these aspects as extremely beneficial.”
Sun‑Jupiter Square
Basically EXTRAVAGANCE
“Jupiter’s expansive activities are easily overdone. When the planet is in disharmonious relationship with the Sun, representing the ego, we are inclined to lay great emphasis on Jupiter‑Sun characteristics, and run the risk of indulging in unfounded optimism, unrealistic idealism, bragging and an inordinate love of freedom. We shall probably attempt too much and take some pretty hard knocks, but our indestructible enthusiasm and buoyancy usually see us through.”
Now Jupiter quincunx Uranus receives flashes of intuiton original inventive methods have problems finding applications and outlets. Fear of being tied down (uranus) and inclined to reject opportunities that appear. they may create a very different impression from the one they intended and seldom end up doing what was planned.
Now Water rules MC, 2nd and 6th suggesting work in the caring professions. that stellium in cancer is within 5' of 3rd house cusp and more effective in 3rd house matters --- so communications of any sort.
We simply cannot ignore T Pluto setting of a Grand square with sun, mars and Jupiter as this is a massive life changing transit and needs explanation with tact and diplomacy....
