View Full Version : Cancer and foreign travel
I have a sag sun and cancer moon....I have lived a good part of my life overseas......and was just wondering how other people with prominent cancer have coped with this travelling stuff. The sag in me is the wanderer....but I still have a deeply strong draw to the land of my birth. MMM and when I travel I seem to always stay in people's homes....another cancer thing.

Hello again Flea. I can't really share much insight for lack of experience, but I too would be very curious of others experiences in this vein.
If you don't mind me asking, are you from the US? Have you enjoyed your experiences abroad, or is it hard to say?
I also have a cancer moon. In addition, I have a two prominent stelliums, one consisting of Mars Saturn and Uranus in 6th house Sagittarius, generally afflicting (by square) mystellium in the 9th house consisting of Sun Venus and Jupiter and mercury.
It looks like you have a more harmonious disposition for travel, if that was an indication. It must be interesting to have Venus and Mars in the 9th. As for me, a journey to Romantic italy was one of the biggest disappointments, and most alienating experience in my life. Even with all expenses paid, I wish I'd never went
Nonetheless I've always felt a conflictive NEED to travel. Actually, not just to travel, but to burn all bridges behind me. And I haven't been able to do this yet. I've only traveled with my family and I think this is partly why it has always been disappointing.
I can at least share my positive prospects though. Now that I have a bit of money saved, after I graduate this spring, I hope to hike the Appalachian trail this summer. Maybe my 6th house conditioning will able to cut me loose, if even through a square to the 9th of the travel itself. Thats why I am thinking a raw and frugal journey might be the ticket. On the other hand, maybe its the worst idea imaginable! Dunno how my cancer moon will like roughing it. Whatever will happen I am pretty excited and idealistic right now.
BTW I actually meant to get back to you in that other thread, I've just been swamped with my school work. I was interested in your last insight though, thanks.

Cool....interesting experiences you have shared. It is a conundrum....this cancer sag thing. I dont mind roughing it for a while....but not for long as I like my food and showers....the saggy side likes the walking through bush though. I am in Australia with lots of wide open spaces....and also the other side of the world from my original home. I suppose the ultimate is making where ever you are home. And people's sense of that is or can be very different. Knowing I have the challenge in my chart has made me conscious of honouring both these parts of me!!
