I remember talking to a leo woman once who had a twisted theory that being a man with a Cancer Asc or Sun is a contradiction since they're "lunar powered". Anyways, say we entertain that stupid idea wouldn't the vice versa be true where women with Leo Suns or Ascs are "men"?:andy:

How is it a contradiction? It's like saying 2/12 of men (Cancer sun + Cancer asc men) are a living contradiction. Cancer isn't a sign only meant for women nor Leo was only meant for men. A sign being feminine doesn't mean the person with that sign is feminine in nature or vice-versa. I'm a Cancer sun woman and I'm more tomboyish than all the Leo girls I know. Actually, the Leo girls are quite girly.

Now to entertain her stupid idea the same would have to be said of "leo Women" since they're "Sun" ruled.

Do I think Cancer or Leo should be gender exclusive? No. She was stupid to come with that idea.

I prefer to use the terms yin and yang rather than feminine and masculine. In actuality fact Aries is more masculine or butch than Leo. Only someone that has scant knowledge of astrology would make such a generalisation.

We are all a mix of yin and yang and I am a Leo SUn woman with mostly yang planets but with Pisces rising I am ultra female looking and backed by a Taurus Moon. I am active rather than passive but no one has accused me of being masculine. THe mix of Yin and Yang in ourselves is what we do best with in others. I am not a believe in opposites attracting in that way.
Uranus is the planet that screws with gender issues. Pardon the pun.

Exactly. We all have estrogen and testosterone. We all possess the energies of each symbolic representation we give to a planet or sign. The idea is that we all have 12 signs and 10 astro bodies in our chart somewhere regardless of our strongest points. We are all made of yin and yang. Duality can be misleading.
