Has my mother lost her will to live?

She has been in and out of the hospital since this May and currently she is still there. Everytime I ask her if she wants to live she will hesitate for awhile before answering and says "yes". But her actions speak the opposite as she is refusing a lot of treatment and therapy for her various medical conditions. I'm emotionally a wreck at times and try to distract myself in other activities trying to avoid the fact and my thoughts that she could be really wanting to just let go of herself and to leave us. Please help me answer this gnawing question for me through a private message if possible.

Ace,

I send my sincere condolences to both yourself and your mother...hopefully, this horary chart may provide the insight you seek.

EDIT: I have also addressed your question to the Sabian Symbols' Oracle (http://astrologyweekly.com/sabian-symbols/index.php) and received the following answer:

Cherub-like, a human soul whispers, seeking to manifest.
14º Leo

134__(14°)
CHERUB-LIKE, A HUMAN SOUL WHISPERS, SEEKING TO MANIFEST The desire to be, to suffer and to grow which brings Spirit to Earth. Whole-souled self-giving. Yearning for experience.

___*When positive, the degree is a genius for an absolute wholeheartedness of participation in the everyday adventures of personality, and when negative, naive procrastination and a lack of all genuine interest or enthusiasm.

This seems to be a remarkable indication that your mother has not yet lost the will to live, though I am uncertain if this is representative of the earth-bound personality of your mother or her higher self...

Thank you very much Arian. I am just wanting her to be happy at this point and not sure what direction she wants me to take for her. I continue to pray that I am making the right decisions for her.

The Sabian Symbol is comforting, yet vague. It could go either way as you presented.
