Now, I'm serious: I have a friend who needed badly some money and she read one of these books dealing with "attracting in your life" anything you want... She did that very convincingly - in less then 2 days she got a lot of money that helped her get over her financial crisis.

:) I think the bottom line is that it is possible once we learn to control our minds. Its a powerful implication that we can mold our minds into anthing we desire. Potential is there but how many of us reaaly know how to look inside the mind itself and know what is there ? How many can say they are familiar with their absolute nature ?
How do we harness the energy of our minds when we are very deeply habitual beings with elaborate conceptual stories and reactions. It is difficult to stop and turn it off. We believe our stories are truth and it is very hard to see that we have choice, our minds have potential to be in control. It needs alot of clarity and analysis. Those few on this earth who do not have a distorted view of reality can control themselves and their bodies and environments.
If we look at the lives of true adepts they never chased after material objects. They tried to teach us that there is no permanent happiness in the outer world if the mind is not blissful in the first place. It is not objects that make happiness.It is always back to the mind. :D

very interesting the only book I have ever read on abundance was some Depok Chopra, it was more about spiritual abundance. I am now curious what books your friend read that gave her such a positive reponse that in 2 days her financial picture turned around?

I have found that at times, it can be beneficial to pause and reflect a bit on who you really are. But at other times you must be cautious of spending a bit too much time sort-of, metaphorically "staring at youself in the mirror."
I guess self-exploration can have its hazards as well as its benefits.

Ours thoughts creaty the reality we meet........we've all heard this somewhere. I first heard this concept reading the Seth books. It seems to me that this new learning for humanity is the new Age showing itself. Age of Aquarius, when hunamity learns how to create from the higher mind and heart (Leo) the reality we want instead of blindly swallowing the reality force fed us by others. Uranus transiting Pisces now and Neptune transiting Aquarius is also cleaning up this old way of seeing 'reality' and expanding into the next level of conscious creating.

I find it quite synchronistic that I rediscovered this forum minutesbefore I was about to create a very similar one :wink:

I have been seriously considering my ability of co-creation lately, as it seems that whenever I have been unable to complete an assignment for school, my teacher unexpectedly cancels or does not show up that day! Sometimes I cannot believe my own "luck" and chalk it up to coincidance, but these situations have become too common to ingnore any longer. I wonder how I refined my ability to do this?

The law of Attraction is a fundamental mover in our world. We attract what we think about. If we can align and focus an intent with our thoughts, then we become conscious co-creators of reality. This is not the same as wishing or prayer that requests a favor from God; it is not "trying"; a focused intent is actually a command.

You acknowledge and step into your power; you realize that the Universe is the resolution of duality -- it is all "have" -- and align your being with the Universe. There is no shortage, no poverty in the Universe; that comes from a belief in lack.

This works; it's been such a primary part of my life for so many years, when you're in the flow, synchronicity becomes a way of life because you know that what you're thinking about is what is happening.

The trick is to be aware of what you think about!

An observation: look at the imagery of sex, repression, fear, and violence we see on TV and the net, and correllate it to news of horrific things. -- and the unwillingness of people to really change things (because they are afraid).

One reason why culture is so violent is that violent images and messages of fear bombard us.

It would be a blessing, indeed if the television satellites were permanently disabled -- we woul;d have to think for ourselves!!! ...maybe even read and talk to each other!!!

Aaaaah and another synchronicity yet with this subject. It happened again......I was having this discussion with you folks in the middle of the night last night! I was listening to this discussion in my head and then I added a bit to it. Just as I am doing physically now, hours later. Life is getting interesting!

This is how the planet is controlled, manipulated, and deliberately directed now primarily through the AIR of Aquarius! In other words our thoughts, mind, thinking, mental creativity (or the lack of it), intellect (or the lack of it), what your mind and thoughts are drawn to and away from and why. We can't go anywhere or watch or listen to anything without being bombarded with images trying to grab our attention, our thinking, our mental awareness (AIR) to either get us to BUY something or BELIEVE (buy) something! Plus, like the magician's trick as he gets you to totally focus on what's happening in his right hand........we mentally forget he even has a left hand and what its doing! Symbolically, the left hand is where the ascension process is and has been going on! :wink:

At this point our thoughts and our thinking are prime territory for those who don't want us to wake up and figure out that we can do so much better than what 'The System' insists is the only 'reality'! At this point of entering the AIRY Age of Aquarius, our minds and our thoughts are where its at! Anybody remember that saying....."Do you know where your child is?" In our world today it should go like this......Do you know where your thoughts are right now?

When I was having this conversation with you good souls in my head many hours ago, this topic reminded me of that great sceen in the second Star Wars movies. Can't remember the name of it, but Luke Skywalker and Yoda are in the swap training in how to tap into "The Force". How to consciously create etc. Skywalker's starship has halfway sunk into the swamp and Yoda's trying to teach him that........ :mrgreen: size dosen't matter. :mrgreen: Couldn't resist.

Luke could levitate small rocks and even Yoda but he couldn't levitate his spaceship out of the swamp. Why? Only because he perceived it to be too large. Ouch!!! But of course Master Yoda levitated it out without breakin' a sweat. Bottom line is, what we personally and collectively believe is possible, is what we'll experience in our 'reality' within the energies present also.

I can't tell you how many times I've manifested different things that I wanted, and because I KNEW that I could connect physically with these things/objects, I did! But so far like Luke Skywalker, I'm still having a bit of difficulty in manifesting larger things.......like spacecraft out of swamps! :wink: But I'm quickly outgrowing my limited beliefs and mental thinking processes about 'reality' and so, am directly experiencing a much different world than before.

Synchronicity again. Here is an article which I wrote recently for a newsletter. I think it's very 'on topic' for this thread:

Following an endorsement by a British television personality, a book on the subject of 'Cosmic Ordering' - also known as 'Wish Listing' – has been flying off the shelves. The book, first written in German in 2001, has already sold over one million copies. It is devoted to the art of manifesting and is credited with turning the aforementioned presenter’s life around.

Unfortunately, this overnight sales phenomenon has been greeted with widespread ridicule and scepticism by the British Press. Toiling hard for your rewards is an acceptable idea but the granting of wishes with little or no effort expended is, it would seem, a bridge too far - even for some of the more enlightened journalists. Yet, despite the derision of the broadsheets, the idea is obviously appealing to the general populace. The average person on the street undoubtedly feels there is little to lose, and everything to gain, by employing the advice in the book. In a world full of chaos and disharmony, the belief that one might be able to bring order and happiness, on demand, is the equivalent of locating the Holy Grail.

Interestingly however, the concept of manifesting one's desires is far from new. A cursory glance towards the Mind, Body and Spirit section in any bookstore will reveal a wealth of tomes on the subject. Penned over the many decades by highly regarded personal development gurus such as Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer, all these books cite similar techniques for materializing your dreams. Rarely do authors of this ilk discuss ideas that haven’t been tested through personal experience, so they are not to be dismissed lightly. I have personally practised manifesting for well over 15 years, as have many of my colleagues, with incredible results.

So what is Cosmic Ordering or Wish Listing? Quite simply it’s the idea that one writes out an order, or a list of desires and ‘places’ it in the hands of the Universe. There are a few additional specific techniques which one can apply to enhance the probability of the Universe delivering. These techniques vary little from author to author and are readily available for a small fee on a plethora of Internet sites devoted to the art of manifesting.

In some quarters however, these techniques are viewed as closely guarded metaphysical wisdom, only to be passed through word of mouth from esoteric teacher to initiate student. According to ancient lore, money should not change hands for the gift of any esoteric knowledge or counsel. The punishment for any transgression of this rule being that the person who does not heed the warning will lose the gift of perception. Whether Messrs Chopra, Dyer et al should be concerned I don't know. I'm not quite sure where I personally sit over this dire warning but I am more than happy to share freely what I have learned over the years on the subject of manifesting.

The original premise of the teaching probably originates from the Bible:
Ask, and it shall be given you;
seek, and you shall find;
knock, and it shall be opened to you.
For whoever asks, receives;
and he who seeks, finds;
and to him who knocks, the door is opened.
Matthew 7:7:8

The received esoteric teaching is that one simply has to image, ordain and manifest the object of ones desire. The belief being that intense desire creates an energy wave that magnetises the desire towards you, as energy and matter are interchangeable.

Here then is the technique:

Get yourself into the state of mind, somewhat akin to the way you feel just before you fall asleep, where the mind is still alert but simultaneously relaxed. Image in your mind the object of your desire, whether it is a person, a material object or a situation – or all three. Now make the desire come to life. Use all of your senses to do this, touch it, see it, hear it, smell it, taste it and finally imagine what it would feel like as if you already have it.

When you have a good sense of your desire walk with this feeling through a set of imaginary rooms. Each time you enter a room, imagine it bathed in the following colours. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Violet, recalling your desire anew at each stop along the way. These are the colours of the Rainbow and the belief is that as each responds to a different electromagnetic frequency, they should always be used in this order.

Next, take a piece of paper and write down your request, making sure it is absolutely specific. For instance, if your desire is a sum of money, you should describe the currency e.g., Canadian dollars are different to US dollars. Do you want a check or cash? If your desire is for a new car, describe the interior trim, the color of the bodywork, the specific engine size, make and model number, the wheel trim, whether it is a second hand or new car, left or right hand drive etc. If it is a person you are requesting to show up in your life, list every physical, mental and emotional quality that you seek.

Phrase your request as if it is going to be answered without fail. When you wake up in the morning you know the Sun will have risen. You do not say, ‘I am hoping to find the Sun.’ Similarly, this request must be phrased with positive intention, as if there is absolutely no doubt about it showing up and the Universe has no choice in the matter. For example, ‘This week I find…’ or an even stronger affirmation is ‘I now own a…’

Once the list is done, read it out aloud. In this way you are ordaining your wish with the power of the spoken word.

If you want to strengthen your request further you can cut out pictures and make a visual collage of your desire. Repeating your list in writing and via the spoken word morning and night also intensifies the energy your order receives. Sometimes you will get an intuitive feeling that this is just not necessary, in which case, simply place your wish list in a safe spot and wait for your desire to manifest in the physical world.

It really is as simple as that. This technique is powerful because your mind is part of the Universal mind or energy. Once you truly understand that you are connected at source to creation itself, you will have accessed the power of positive thinking which allows you to co-create your world. Once that happens all negative feelings, or lack mentality, will be replaced by a prosperity and abundance consciousness where miracles are commonplace.

Remember, IMAGE, ORDAIN, MANIFEST and change your life today.
