Mercury retrograde

Dear All,
Is this true that when Mercury retrogrades it is not good to meet someone new. Or even if you met someone, they say that that would not has a good outcome.
Any insights?

You know that is a question that I have often wondered about. I'll tell you what my experince has been like. There are two types of people who pop up for me during mercury retrograde. The first type very quickly fades out of my life or you could say they just don't have that much influence on me. They are almost noteable for the transient quality the encounter they have. Then there is the other type. I always feel so close to this type and I really hope they are going to stay around, but I still have that feeling that they won't last. Usually once mercury comes out of it shadow, these people drift away. Often times with a feeling of incompletion for me. Even when the encounter last as long
as two months, which is the same amount of time that some relationships last that don't have the touch of mercury retrograde on them, it seems I am more aware of the impermanence of the relationship and there is a bit of sadness mixed into the relationship for me. Mer. ret. relationships of the romantic kind also have the feeling of a summer fling for me. Lilllybelle

I also never developed any good relationship with someone new during Mercury retrogrades. However I REvisit all the old friends or they reappear in my life in some strange ways. I think it is also important in which house Mercury retrogrades in your chart. For example for me it is going to be in my first house so I expect it more personal things happens at this time.
I still wonder if you know someone already before Mercury retrogrades but you started dating during the retro time; what happens?

Also I wonder what happens if the natal chart has already a Retro. Mercury naturally. I expect them to be affected diffferently.
Well I will keep you updated with the outcome of this retro time.

Mine is retro in the first house too. I can't help but feel that this is an inopportune time to reconfigure the way I 'project' myself, as I've got three interviews over the next two weeks. Hopefully sun transiting my first house should help me out! :)

As long as you don't sign anything interviews should be fine! If there is old connection with one of those it will come lucky :) Also Mercury in the first house could improve your skills on talking better and with Sun there! Hopefully you will be fine I guess.

Maybe if you know someone before the retrograde, and you start dating during the retrograde, it will take (one or both) or you at least until the end of the retrograde to 'make up your minds' about eachother ;) However, once you do it should be fairly solid (given that you've had plenty time, and the influence of both conscious and unconscious to do it!) Hope so...
