I would be interested in hearing how this is affecting everybody so far. The "Wounded Healer" went retro 5/8/05. For me I think the worst was last week when it was in stationary mode and my heart was breaking about 100 different things. It's quieted down a little now but dealing with fallout and trying to bandage things up again. We should watch this retro period I think cause it's powerful and not that many places give much weight to Chiron, but for me, natally on my ascendant in Capricorn, it is very very significant. So if you post back, tell me where it was on your natal and how you are dealing with this retro period, please.

Is that why I have been feeling so weird. I am a new student of astrology. The last time I felt thie bad, something really bad happened. It feels bigger than me this time though. National or global.

Dear Guest: This is a significant asteroid and I think extremely powerful. If you want to know more about Chiron, this Wounded Healer, I think being new you might be happily surprised to see its significantce in your own chart. Mine sits on my ascendant in Capricorn, not a very good placement, but ... anyway, so this retro period has devastated my financial well being in a very extreme way, but I know I have to learn from it and move on. But if you want some links let me know, I'll forward a couple. Old wounds are being reopened because we didn't learn the first fifty times around. I may be slow, but I'm getting there. When you read about your asteriods, everything starts making sense. Welcome! baker

Also Guest, remember countries have their own charts, leaders of those countries have their own charts, and there's synastry there, and well nothing affects us individually ever, we are all made of the same thing, and whatever happens, it happens to all of us. baker

Baker I find the whole Chiron thing very interesting. Where is Chiron at present? My natal Chiron is conjuct my sun in the fourth house in Aquarius. I am pretty aware personally where my wounds are.

Hi Rave, my fellow Chiron follower, I agree, it's so significant. Currently Chiron is galloping through Aquarius, how about that, and your is natally Aquarius, hummmmm? So what's going on with you, what are you in the process of "healing", research of course, not being nosy. But wondering ...... baker

I'm having prophetic-type dreams, not ones I like or enjoy, and am also finding evidence type things, turning up everywhere to reinforce my marriage separation, to help me know this is the right thing to do. Just scared still that I can't make it on my own, for many reasons. So have been hesitant, but now finding strength to do it.

O boy, there is a lot going on with personal healing (emotional/psychologial). I feel will make a breakthrough if I keep focused and keep my nose firmly to the ground. Outside circumstances have been chaotic for a long time and my response has been to basically bury my head in the sand.

One should not overlook that there are 3 more planets that are retrogading now.. uranus in pisces, neptune in aquarius and pluto in saggitarius... those people will benefit from this for those who have these planets retrogading in their pre-natal chart.

Hello All ~
I thought I'd pick up this thread since Chiron is still rx. Mercury too.
So what's happening? Is Chiron better for you when it's in Capricorn or Aquarius? Did you notice a shift for the better right away when Chiron moved into Aquarius? My brother is a Capricorn, and I noticed that he seemed happier when Chiron moved into Aquarius even though nothing had really changed with his situation relating to his issues. So I'd say he's accepting his new reality.
I'm new to the Chiron scene, but I think I'm starting to get the picture.
I'm getting ready for lots of action when the outers start going forward again. I know that when the planets go rx it's time to think up new plans/solutions to hopefully make things a little better or move forward as much as possible. Sometimes rx's are quiet. Other times you get that 2nd or 3rd hit.
Mercury will go direct Aug. 15.
Pluto will go direct Sep. 2.
Chiron will go direct Oct. 4-5 in Capricorn.
Neptune will go direct Oct. 26.
Uranus will go direct Nov. 15.
Mars will rx Oct. 1.
Solar Eclipse Oct. 3, 10 Libra.
Lunar Eclipse Oct. 17, 24 Aries.
Saturn will rx Nov. 22.
Venus will rx Dec. 24.
Doesn't it seem like there's more action than usual? I guess it's the Venus and Mars.

I was born with Chiron Rx and in a couple of years will be going through my Chiron return in my third house. I guess I view the Rx period as the normal state of affairs, although I will sure be glad when it goes direct and back into Aquarius.
When Chiron moved back into Capricorn in my 2nd house a week or two ago, I noticed that I was thinking more earthy in dealing with my self-worth and I manage my resources (what? I have resources?!). It was also after Chiron moved back into Capricorn that one of my friends ripped into me about why I wanted the job I was interviewing for two days afterward. That shook me up pretty badly and probably didn't help me when I actually did the interview.
What was Chiron trying to heal in this whole process? Haven't figured that one out yet. Especially since transiting Chiron is just within orb of making my t-square a grand cross.
C'est la vie et la guerre et l'amour.

There's no doubt in my mind that these past months have been filled with hurdles, at least for me. The hardest thing, I think, is getting everything I learn on a daily basis to stick. I catch myself falling into the same ruts every week or so. I get really irritable about life in general for a couple of days, then really frusterated for another couple of days, and finally relieved when I actually acknowledgy my wounds/begin to heal. Then, almost immediately I start to get irritable again, like I never learned anything to begin with.
Thoughts are always bouncing in and out of my head, usually they have a lot to do with extreme worry and doubt about my mental abilities. My chiron is in Gemini in the 7th house, so the mental activity makes sense. Also, I'm doing an internship this summer and working with many new partnerships and 1-1 business relationships (7th house) for the future.
As a Taurean, the lack of stability and consistancy is killing my momentum lately. Although, I guess its good I'm a plodder because we're usually not ones to quit once we finally get going--that is unless we're pushed over the edge.
All I have to say is, the healing process is exausting! When say the stars about making life a little easier?!?

My Chiron is also rx natally. It's in Aquarius in H2. Neptune was cj it for about the last 2 years. It trines my H6 Sun and my MC. When I think back I can see that it made me want to spend my money on holistic-type classes, workshops, acupuncture, astrology books, things like that. I went on a lot of road trips in the Southwest.
I'm moving in a month or two, and it's going to change my MC to Libra. Jupiter, my chart ruler, and Pluto will trine my Asc. I can see myself changing careers, and I never thought that would happen in a million years. Frankly, I never thought I'd be moving either, but that's due to Pluto. Even with all that good stuff coming my way, for my Chiron Return coming up I can see some things coming that I don't want to face, but there's not a thing anyone can do about it.

One of the most interesting things is with Chiron Rx, one of my friends suggested I should think about starting a Internet counseling service. Let me tell you that sent shudders up my spine! Lots of questions about self-worth, self-value, self-reliance, self-resources. Do I know enough? Do I have the capital? Would I have to get more degrees which I can't afford to pay off? Would anyone be interested? Yada yada yada.
Hell, the Yahoo! Group I started didn't fly. So why risk my neck on something I ultimately could get sued over? Sounds very Capricorn Chiron Rx in 2nd to me.

Hi all!
While I am new here and this is my first post this subject really caught my attention so I am jumping in.
First off, in my experience in looking at Chiron and how it influences a particular house and its transits I am more inclined to look at Chiron not as 'the wounded healer'. I think that a more accurate description of this asteriod would that of the concentration of energy where we need to look inward and heal from self-imposed restrictions that we have brought into this lifetime so that we can go forth in life EVOLVING and TRANSFORMING and then manifest it on the outside. This asteriod is closely aligned with Saturn and Uranus so on one hand it is showing us our boundaries and what makes us different from others and the otherhand it is also pushing us to break the pattern and expand. My belief/intuition is that with these two forces coming to bear in Chiron we can experience Chiron as the restrictor in our life, much like Saturn in a negative state and then experience the pain of chaos through Uranus's influence (if we don't expand our boundaries of illusion) or we can EVOLVE into a higher state while OWNING our own imperfections and then GROW and TRANSFORM, kinda like a sappling tree. I also sense with Chiron a connection to PLUTO and our N. Node. I believe that Chiron is here to take us as humanbeings to the next level of being with Spirit/Universe so this is something for all to look at in your chart. How and where do I separate myself from Other, how do internalize and learn that I am unique yet one with all? And then connect with Other?
At this point and time my own Chiron is getting a work out in the 4th house influenced by both Cap and Aqu. as it getting ready to crossover into Aqu. It is also conj. with my northnode natally (this almost gone) but the transiting N.Node is coming into conj. with my Natal Chiron in the 6th house so I will be getting even more reinforcement of the lessons I have been learning over the past year. This transit is also opposing my Sun in Cancer/Midheaven so its been interesting to say the least but I am growing and changing for the better without too much hell (did I also mention that I also just came off of a heavy duty Saturn transit?) Anyways, this is my short form of Chiron interpretation.
Blessings,
Laura

baker,
Rats......I quoted your post because the time on it jumped out and hit me between the eyes, but it dosen't show here. Its an answer for you I'm sure! A validation of sorts. Its 11:11
Back to the theme of the thread.......in all honesty I haven't been paying attention to Chiron's retrograde effects. Bad, bad Lapis! Natally =
Chiron 4 Capricorn 25' in 10th
Sun 1 Capricorn 2' in 10th
So I too find everything Chiron very interesting and highly important. B.H. Clow goes as far as suggesting that Chiron may 'rule' our Higher Self!

Lapis, thanks sweetie!
Me too, Chiron at 23 Cap on Asc in 1st 5.32 RETRO on top of everything. whatever. so double retro hit on me there with Chiron retro now (and for me square Merc), I'm beside myself although trying VERY hard to be evolved and figure it all out, kinda lost in space so to speak right now, but I'll be back to my normal (whatever that is) self someday.[/img]
Hi friends,
It's CHIRON time again.... :?
Looking for more insight into Chiron's influence, I finally found this discussion today. Thank you so much...it is especially important now, I think.
As bgramochroi said, I am more inclined to look at Chiron not as 'the wounded healer'. I think that a more accurate description of this asteriod would that of the concentration of energy where we need to look inward and heal from self-imposed restrictions that we have brought into this lifetime so that we can go forth in life EVOLVING and TRANSFORMING and then manifest it on the outside. Chiron in the 12th H--that's me :o to a "T"
James Jarvis (www.lifeqwest.com) wrote in a monthly column in August
about Chiron in opposition to Saturn (July 15-26, 2005):
The emphasis is on trusting your inherent wisdom and authority. It's time to throw off the [false] injunctions that have prevented us from sharing our expertise...
And James said about Saturn in Leo (that trickster, that great master of disguises...)This transit, from July 16, 2005 through September 2, 2007, will be helpful for anyone wanting to produce projects that require sustained creativity. Saturn brings F O R M to
whatever it touches.
With transitting Chiron retrograde until December 5, 2005, we're seeing "...where we need to take greater responsibility, reclaim our authority, and redefine our goals," Jarvis says.
Uranus is a volatile energy...could be shocking creativity.
Baker's post today talked about Promethean energy connected with the planet we've been referring to as Uranus...
The myth is that Prometheus saved Bronze Age humans from the flood by gifting them with the art of metal work, using the fire he stole from the gods...
Prometheus also gifted Chiron with mortality to bring Chiron's suffering to an end....
Perhaps Chiron is helping consciously remove the "poison arrows" (social control) that have been embedded in our psyches by the pressure of the "collective ego" and patriarchy's anti-values...
My intuition says that Chiron will help us confront the shadow that could be described as "peace...at any cost" (in other words....apathy)...and to recover our inner-truth-connection and self esteem.
Chiron re-focuses the combined energies of Saturn and Uranus/Prometheus and also helps us use the mutual resonance of Prometheus/Uranus and Neptune...which are currently in each other's signs...
and helps us stay solidly in the circle of light...
Chiron will be in Aquarius until 2010.
I'm thinking my Chiron's natal placement:
Retrograde,
alone in my 12th H
at 7 degrees Sagittarius
is THE important focus for me now.... ("Least Aspected Planet")
and my Chiron return was last year....much happened in my life
during and since...which taught me more about letting go and TRUSTING....
and it certainly is better not to be trying to figure this out alone...
thanks again.

I have Chiron natally at 1 degrees Cancer on the border of Houses 5 and 6.
I really don't understand how predictive astrology works, so I have no idea what this will mean, or how the Chiron on Oct 4 relates to my natal Chiron.
:) Hey, Kyle
Can you tell me how to create a copy of my natal chart to
plunk into my avatar space here? Thanx...
You may have natal Chiron opposite the Galactic Center....IMO
that means something evolutionary and possibly beyond my personal ability to comprehend... Just wondering. I'm still spending my
"free time" reading and learning with everyone in this amazing Forum
...we all are discovering what it means to take responsibility on Earth...
it's like this Forum is our astrology training internship so we're prepared for something like....Oh, maybe needing to know where our water comes from so we'll have a supply, and growing food nearby when we run out of petroleum, and developing community relationships...I don't know.
The GC/Pluto opp. to your natal Chiron, if I read your chart correctly, could mean lots in the new
year...stay tuned!
And, is the Chiron/Venus conjunction at 00 Aquarius in December near your ASC?
Wondering, :)

That article Baker posted on another thread, 'Katrina, The Awakener' was really great......thanks Baker. Because of it I wanted to share a personal experience about this issue of Uranus being so Promethean like. Until I read that article yesterday I'd never heard of this connection. It was highly meaningful to me.
I went through my Uranus Opposition from 1991-1994ish. During this transit/Initiation I had a whole series of dreams/healings/insights that were all extremely 'Promethean'. The trick is that at that time I hadn't read or heard about the myth of Prometheus! And I only discovered Chiron minutes after my Uranus Opposition ended. Aaaah the way Spirit/Higher Self functions......sheer perfection! So, this archetypal energy played itself out rather literally in some ways during my Uranus Opposition.
In some of these life changing dreams I 'forgot Fire' and was horrified when I found out about it!? How in the world could one 'forget about Fire'? In another one I 'realized that because I'd forgotten Fire I couldn't feed my son'!? And in another dream I was finally able to regain 'the Fire' and take more responsibility and clean house so to speak. I could now feed myself and others again.....
I remember at the time wondering why all this symbology was presenting itself to me as 'Fire' when it was my Uranus Oppostion? After reading Baker's post/article about this powerful connection between Uranus and Prometheus, I have NO doubt that its very true. I lived it long before I was consciously aware of any of these ancient myths and stories. Thanks for answering an old question Baker :) .

Hello Baker i would like to butt in if I can, I don't know much about Chiron, but when you said you were cap rising and trouble in marriage and dreams that where difficult, Transiting Pluto is in the 12th house which rules the unconscience mind, dreams and you will go through a deep change of mind and it's the closet of hidden things. and that will all be coming up. and Saturn in Cancer probably in your 7th house is the marriage thing. if you read up on these two things and put them together with the rest of your chart you can make some sence to whats happening in your life. and one more 2 cents worth, remember to let go and let god , astrology is not for manipulating your life but understanding it. the only responds should be a loving one. do I sound like a mom or what???
Bless you Libra Lady

To make it your avatar. just copy the chart, paste into Paint, then cut and resize things just right. Not too hard.
Venus was in House 1, but it's almost 20 degrees from the ASC, if I'm correct.
I really don't know what Chiron means or what it represents, and I also have no idea how astrology works when you compare your natal chart to current times or the future, but thanks for helping a little!
Kyle,
OK, I'll try the paint thing for constructing my chart/avatar...

Wow, you guys are awesome! :D
So, C1, glad you enjoyed the Katrina The Awakener article, I too found it so .... enthralling, it took me right in and I just HAD to share! So very very interesting. And for me also, it brought a lot of stuff that I had scattered together. And I'm so glad you liked the article also, Lapis.
Chiron, for me, does "bring it all together", all that never made sense charts all of sudden DID make perfect sense once the Chiron was included.
Libra Lady, butt in anytime sweetie, but it just gets worse and worse, the only thing between me and the door is $, believe me, that Scorpio is way out in the deep end, destructing everything that ever was. Sad really, it didn't have to be played out this way. But need a mom bad, so thanks for stepping in and being my mom, even if just for a few minutes. What do you think about this? Solar AND Venus return for me on the 27th.
