The Love Dud...

Hey,

I was just feeling exceptionally low down about my current single status and just wanted to ask, WHY AM I SUCH A DUD WHEN IT COMES TO ROMANCE?
I have been single for well over a year and it seems that when I come close to anything remotely romantic with a man, some act of fate prevents any sparks from flying! I've tried to be cool and pretend I don't need anyone in my life right now, but I'm seriously concerned that being a single gal is going to haunt me for a long long time. Furthermore, I seem to be surronded by gay men. Gay guys are great, however I would much rather have a decent straight fella around if you know what I mean. Wink, Wink.

Unless you are 1 day old, you have posted the horary chart twice instead of adding your natal chart the second time :D

The question is, why am I such a love dud?

We have an early ASC on our hands here. I don't think that the question was off the top of your head, so maybe it shows that you are still in the beginning of a phase or still need to mature somehow. Or maybe it's just too early to ask the question. Not all very good news, huh?

ASC is in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign of friendship. Maybe you give a "we're just friends vibe" to men around you. Aquarius is a fixed, proud sign. Maybe guys are scared of your confidence... straight guys that is! Gay guys appreciate this quality in a woman :D. Aquarius is an air sign. It is the polar opposite of Leo, the sign of romance. Maybe you don't allow guys to see your warm side early enough in the relationship.

The ruler of Aquarius is Saturn, which is your significator. I don't know what it means that your significator is a malefic. Maybe it means that you are contract, you're not relaxed. Maybe you're too responsible to have happy-go-lucky fun in the area of romance. It may also mean guilt and over analysis.

Saturn is in essential detriment in Leo. You are situated in an envirnment that doesn't allow you to use your power; to express yourself freely and easily. Saturn is in its own face though. You still have some power to alter your situation.

The last aspect Saturn has was a square with Jupiter Rx. Jupiter is the significator of friends in this chart. It is an accidental malefic as it is in Rx motion. I'm going to read into this and say that, before you started focusing on yourself, you had been wasting your time on a friend that has unintentionally hurt you.

Keeping modern planets out of the equation, Saturn seems to be VOC. Any aspect that it'll perfcet soon will be casted on it, not the other way around. Looks like you're gonna be testing the waters for a while, waiting for men to make the first move.

The situation of Saturn in the 7th house shows that you're more interested in serious relationships than in light romance, even if you say otherwise. However, the last lunar aspect is a conjunction with Mercury, the ruler of the 5th house. Looks like the current situation will end with your going out with someone. It'll not be a serious, committed relationship, but you will enjoy and/or not be hurt by it because the Moon will perfect the aspect while enjoying major essential digity. Well, I'm kind of in a pending semi-romantic/sexual situation with one of my straight buddies. I think he is looking for a casual liasion within our friendship. We are both musicians and both have odd senses of humor. I'm thinking that this is what you were talking about when you mentioned:

I did meet someone I like on July 1st. Here's the catch....they live like 2 hours away and the only time I could see him again would be at one of my gigs on aug 26th....except he can't make it because he has a wedding to attend. I seriously think I'm cursed in the love department. I feel like a NUN!

Ok, this is the chart. I know I might have started talking to him between 10:30PM and 10:45PM.
So here is 10:45 because that feels more correct to me.

I have no idea what is going on here. The only thing that strikes me is that the moon is in the 7th house and that the 1st and 7th houses are huge.

Jen, have you noticed how similar this event chart is to your love dud horary chart? Your significator is still the same, Saturn in detriment.

The Moon in this chart is traditionally VOC, not good for an event chart if you want something to start, although I must admit that I don't know the phase of the Moon. Considering modern planets, the last lunar aspect is a square with Pluto Rx in the 10th house. Yikes!

In an event chart, the signs of the ASC and the Moon should describe the nature of the endeavor. We have, in this chart, Aquarius the sign of friendship (not again, Jen!) and Virgo, the sign of hard work??? Not helping.

An event chart should give us an answer to a question about the subject at hand. Let's ask this; will there be any romance with that guy? To answer this question, we use the 5th house to rule him. He is signified by Mercury which has just moved into Leo. Mercury is in Leo, the sign of romance, and is applying to your significator, Saturn by a conjunction. This should all look good, but alas, if Mercury continues its course it will frustrate the aspect be applying to Jupiter Rx first (Jupiter rules your 10th house by sign and 6th house by exaltation). But even Jupiter will not have the honor because, in 17 minutes, Mercury turns Rx moving back to Cancer.

Jen, I think this says that things will seem to be getting the way of romance (probably work related stuff), but the fact of the matter is that he will not be interested or will change his mind about giving romance a chance.

Alright, which house rules the potential to become a nun? :D :D :D
