Hi,

I had a question about Saturn Returns for anyone that can shed any light on the subject (hopefully I'm in the right forum ).

I know Saturn Returns can be challenging times for everyone--but I was wondering if it was logical to conclude that if someone already had Moon Square Saturn it would MAGNIFY the experience? :w00t:

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Any aspect Saturn makes in the natal chart will be magnified by the Saturn return...both positive and negative. Also the houses that Saturn (and any aspected planets) rules will be affected. It's like dominos.

Saturn Return
Saturn takes 30 years or so to complete its circuit around the zodiac so events that occur around the age of 29-30, 58-59 and 80-81 will be of great significance to the native, depending on the strength and aspects to natal saturn.

In agreeing with you/Lin/A50, MH - my logic would be :-

At the time of the Return, natal/transitting Saturn will be exactly conjunct and progressed Saturn will (probably) be in close conjunction to them.....Thus those planets/points which Saturn aspects natally will meet the whole criteria required for a "significant event relating to the lessons of natal Saturn"......whereas only two of these requirements are normally being met, and triggered by transitting planets that do not increase the Saturn influence.

I have been though my saturn return and i have to tell you - it really sucked! it seemed to last for 7 years. just when you think your done with the return - it doubles back on it self by going into retrograde, then you go through the whole mess again. before i started mine, i just got out of collage to start a movie company. a return like saturn can cycle up about a year and a half before you really hit it kind of like a cork in a wine bottle. when it started to go into return, i completely left the company i was building as every thing was going wrong. i moved to another state to marry the woman i loved, had a kid, went through emotional hell with my wife, and got a job doing really boring technical support. then after i left my saturn return, my wife went through hers, which effected almost ALL her planets, in the house of home and family. she had a miscarriage, and we separated and got divorced - our home life basically erupted. Saturn is defiantly the dealer of karma, with a capital "K". the good news is after you come out on the other side, you are a totally different person, much wiser and stronger. thank god i was in the school of metaphysics during this time, as the mental disciplines really help you get through it, such as meditating. the key thing to tell yourself is that it will pass eventually. the best thing to do is use every opportunity you encounter with it, to learn from, and change and grow. that helps to transmute the karma from it.

I don't think it's fair or possible to blame ALL your woes on Saturn :kissing:
Saturn it stays in any one sign only for 2.5years, so other biggies must have been having their influences

Saturn is the Lord of Karma and master teacher, but really he's trying to teach us about ourselves. It wants us to be responsible, hard working, dutiful and learn our Lessons properly, so they won't have to keep being repeated. Therefore, is usually suggests things slowing down, delays, limitations and restrictions so we can learn these Lessons.

What Saturn does is 'test' what is of value to you and what is working in your life. It wants structure and hard work. If something isn't working--- it may well end--- so something better can be put in it's place.

Now Neptune dissolves things, causes confusion, illusions and rose tinted glasses especially if in hard aspect to Angles or planets. It can be a spiritual, artistic awakening, but there are not many people who can advance or benefit their lives (unless there is natal potential of course) with Neptune. But having said this if you are 'supposed' to be Learning a Lesson in this life and Neptune draws a veil across your mind so you don't see things clearly enough to be objective--- then this pawn in chess has done it's job....

Any time we have a transit that involves the natal planets as well is going to be very significant.

We need your chart.

However I am assuming you are hving your first Saturn return. With Saturn Moon involvement issues with women especially in the family and restrictions or responsibilities there that feel like a burden. Saturn is there to take away that which is no longer necessary and to teach us to mature and grow but through the rewards of hard work. Therefore it is karmic. Never easy even with the more flowing aspects.

Reap what you sow time.:rightful:

Although I dont have your chart I feel that Saturn was not really responsible for all of that. It sounds like Pluto was there and perhaps Neptune too.
