will he get his car back?

Hi folks!
I'm working on a stolen car horary and could do with some help from some of you experts out there.
A person I know has had his car stolen today from a shopping complex.He is a young guy and he needs this car for work-he works about 100ks from home. There is no other way he can get to work on time.Without the car he is seriously at risk of losing his job.
Here's the chart and my take on it appears below:

As I am asking about it I give him the seventh cusp so he is ruled by Mars, located in his 8th but heading for his ninth, very weak in cancer.
The car is ruled by Jupiter, retrograde in aquarius.(Sometimes a retrograde planet can indicate a returning object) but I see no connections between mars and jupiter here (a quincunx-they can't *see* each other.
Mars is also some distance from jupiter, geographically.
Jupiters retro status, being in saturns sign and conjunct chiron tells me the car may not be in a good state-its moving back into the ninth. (why? What does this tell us about its location?-near churches? The police have been informed.Could it be that?)

The moon is in mars' sign.Eventually the moon will trine Mars-In about 12 somethings.Usually the shorter time when it's the moon.
Shortly after that the moon will square jupiter, the car.
Pars is in his 11th house, also in mars' sign but it too will square mars.
I feel the car may not be coming back-or if it is found it will be perhaps beyond repair. This represents a catastrophic loss to the young man who had most of his worldly possessions *in* the car at the time, including valuable musical equipment.He has also spent around $2000 on the car getting it roadworthy.I hope someone out there can give me a reason to be optimistic about its return.

I would leave yourself out of it and use him as the first house as you are the astrologer. You are in this case an objective observer. Use 2nd house for his possessions ie mercury, third for his car, and moon for natural ruler of fugitives and runaways.
Mercury is retrograde, combust and moving toward saturn..delays and legalities. Moon is in 6th moving to 7th open enemies and in burning way...will square jupiter (legal and others resources=insurance?), trine to mars (maybe they find the car) and then saturn, mercury and then sun with a final square to venus after changing signs....I think he has a bit of a journey to get either recompensed to buy a new one from insurance money or get the car back.

Thanks gemini. I toyed with the idea about using the asc for him-but I decided against it because it was not he who was asking-it was me.
The car wasnt insured as the driver is under 25 years of age-to insure a car at that age is an astronomical cost.
It had most of his belongings in it at the time.
It looks like *whichever way* you read the chart, it doesnt look good for retrieval, does it?
He's my son's friend, so I could have used 11th from fifth house too.This would make the driver ruled by the moon with mars right there, linking in to Uranus and Saturn opposition.
BTW, I was wondering why his sig was in his h9 when I cast the chart-I got my answer today-he was on the Internet at the time, advertising his stolen car!
All in all this loss amounts to well over $10,000.Sigh.

I'd like to offer some alternative insights:

According to Deb Houlding, 3rd house is used for a car. If you use 3rd house significator, Saturn in Virgo in his turned 10th is the car. I wonder if Mars sextiles Saturn before Saturn leaves Virgo? This looks like an opportunity to get to work, anyway? Moon applies to both Mars and Saturn.

Also, I find it interesting that Mercury Rx rules his 11th house of hopes and wishes - also friends. Mercury is backing up into a conjunction with Saturn - the car. Moon will also sextile Mercury. I think Mercury conjuncts Saturn first, then Moon sextiles Mercury. IF you take the 11th as his hopes and wishes.... then Mercury retrograding to the car's sig MIGHT be an indicator of a yes - especially since Moon is applying to all the sigs involved. Mercury is also the natural signficator for a car.

Alternatively, it MIGHT refer to a friend offering to take him to work? Possibly someone he works with, as Mercury has just left the Sun in Virgo in the 11th, ruler of his turned 10th?

This might also indicate humanitarian aid of some sort, possibly some restitution through a crime aid fund, or church/civic organization.

Although not traditional horary, Neptune in Aquarius is smack on his turned 4th. If an outer planet is smack on an angle or conjunct another planet or POF, I see it as giving some kind of detail. Neptune in Aquarius on the IC might show that this is a good time to reach out to others for help- make one's needs known.

I would say that it looks like everything will work out ok for him, one way or another.

Please let me know if any of what I said was even partially correct, as this is the best way for me to test out what I see.

The car has been found by the police * a long way from home*.Of course it has been emptied and stripped so a few thousand dollars has been irretrievably lost.All his original musical compositions were in the car apparently when it was taken.
It was found 3 days after being stolen.

This is spot on. He has a long journey to get the car-its being held at a police holding yard. It is costing him to have it there. If the car is not fixable he can hand in the registration plates by 4pm today and be refunded. But its doubtful he'll make it to the car and back in time to do that.The car's ignition is wrecked for one thing. So yes, its complicated.

Freedom you were quite right about friends helping him, but alas he wasnt able to get to work-his Boss has been very understanding though and isn't going to sack him.I'll know more later in the day-but thanks guys for your input here-you were both right.

That's such a shame that all his belongings and compositions were stolen. After I made my post on this subject, I had a gut feeling that the car was going to show up, but not his belongings. That is TERRIBLE that he is being asked to pay to get it back after it was STOLEN from him! AWFUL! My prayers are with him. You said I was right about friends helping him. What kind of help is he getting?

Looking over the chart with hindsight,

It also came to me after I posted that the 10th refers to authority, besides his job, so thought the police might be involved. Saturn is in the 10th, and sextiles him - the police are holding it. I guess the sextile represents an opportunity to get it back. However, I realize from reading this post, that I think the Saturn in Virgo representing the car refers to it will need a lot of work. Also, I think the Sun in Virgo is in the turned 2nd of the turned 10th of police/authorities. This represents the police holding it in their possession and wanting money, I think. Mercury Rx in Virgo, ruler of that turned 2nd, is connecting it back to Saturn.

Gee, horary is alot easier after you know the outcome. :whistling:

yep-horary's dead easy *in hindsight!*Interesting how even the Outers show us what happened here:the car being saturn (in Mercs sign) having had a sudden event occur-the opposition to Uranus.
It's better that he gets the car back-how fast that happened also surprised me.
Even though it may be destroyed, he knows he has to move on now with another plan.Hopefully he was able to get his registration money refunded.I'll know later.
He has alerted vendors in the area who deal with second hand goods and given detailed descriptions to police of his belongings. Forensic tests were conducted on the car.Of course I'm wondering if he will get anything back...but I cant ask that yet.I'm thinking the car may be *on the road again* when Mercury goes direct...I'll keep you updated.
