With natal retro. Mercury in Taurus, I'm a bit slow in setting down the written word. Check and re-check is the code:) . Consequently, come time to post to the ongoing thread and I'm no longer logged in and post becomes invalid. Lost many a post and, therefore, have begun to copy before attempting to post so that I can paste when logged in again.
Is there a time limit to how long one is actively logged-in, or is the fact that I copy before posting the reason that I get cut off ?

Hi Frisiangal,
I have noticed this too and have wondered why the posting mechanism has such a "short attention span." ;)
What I have started doing is after a medium length post or longer I will immediately will open a new browser window and relog in. Then I will go back to the window that has the new post in it and submit it. I haven't had any problems with posting when I have done this.
If I know before I start posting it will be a really long post, I will write it in a word processing program and then cut and paste it into the "Reply to Thread." That way if it does not go through, I have a copy which I can cut and paste from after relogging in.
I also know that this site is not the only one that seems to have a "time limit" on posting. I have had Yahoo! log me off also at times because I took too much time writing. ::Sigh:: The wonders of technology.

Yes, the default forum setting was 15 minutes. I changed it to 1 hour in order to prevent such happennings. This should be enough even for longer posts.
Any other problems or issues, please report them. Thanks.

Hi Elianah,
This is more or less what I have been doing as well with the copy/paste. With a time limit increased to an hour, I may still have to do it.:D
Many thanks, Radu, for increasing the system's time span patience.:)

Wow, how long do you usually work on a post then? :p
(I know very well that writing an elaborate text requires time...)

It's not so much the writing that takes the time. It's the weighing and checking of the facts against the horoscope chart, adding thoughts that pop up during the text writing, changing my mind and deleting text, making sure I'm not writing in a manner that could be taken as offensive, wondering if what I've written is worth its salt .....and, correcting spelling.
THEN, I re-read the lot, make a few more alterations, re-read again and if I'm satisfied, press 'submit'.
An hour..... give or take a minute....just about covers it.:D
Does that sound Taurean?

My natal Mercury Rx wishes to thank all of you for this important information. I often get lost with the help of mild dyslexia and place what should be at the end of a sentence - at the beginning and then can't figure out how to solve the problem. Time is clicking, clicking, down.......plus I have to check my horrible spelling.......more clicking, clicking countdown to loosing my post! Sometimes the pressure is just too much and it all goes bad.
In my next life I want Mercury direct.
Anyway, thanks for the great ideas about copy/pasting into a post to avoid all that other business.;)
There is also some other trick I learnt, which is to have the "Remember Me" button checked by default, so that even if you compose a message longer than an hour and appear as offline afterwards, you will be logged in again automatically when sending the message. I hope that this trick actually works, if so, than you'll never have to worry about posting time ever again.
Thanks, God, for technology !:)
