Why is He Suddenly Flirting So Much?

I would love any feedback. Suddenly he has begun flirting with me, emailing me after months of shyness. Why? Clearly what I am feeling has some legitmacy as I see he as MERCURY is moving into close trines with both the MOON and VENUS. But what is the motivation/feeling, the sudden change from? Mars moving into Leo from Cancer perhaps?

(I am Jupiter and he is Mercury...)

I don't know how to answer "why" questions, but I've read somewhere that you get the answer from the 10th house. Now I'm not sure whether to use the radical 10th house or the 10th turned from the 5th (flirting).

Let me browse through my books and come back with a proper answer. Meanwhile, I see that his significator is applying to Venus, the natural significator of love and partnerships. Maybe this is what he wants.

Could you tell me what the "official relationship" with him is? Are you friends? Are you co-workers? Did you have any dates together? etc..

Yes, that is the answer. Now, he's ruler Me (ruler of 7H) is in Ju exaltation (Ju is your ruler) and that means that he puts you on pedestal; he at now see you through rose-tinted spectacles, so this is the best time to get from him what you want!
