I was browsing through a newspaper when I came across an article about the security measures in Germany for the FIFA world cup. Immediately, I thought of this question:

Will there be a terrorist attack against the FIFA World Cup Tournament?

I don't like how Uranus is on the ASC and Pluto Rx is in the 10th house. Both Mars and Saturn in the 5th house (the games).

I don't know what to choose to represent the terrorists though. Is it the radical 7th house because it's the traditional open-enemy house or should it be turned from the 4th or 5th?

I don't know, but then again, I suck at interpreting my own horaries. Any input will be appreciated.

Back to your inquiry: please confirm the chart, I have the impression you got a different chart, a different ASC. This one is based on EED -03:00.

As formulated, the question is clearly a matter of public safety; you would consider a terrorist attack at the Germany World Cup as a personal attack to your own safety, therefore the World Cup would be shown in the 1st house and the potential terrorists in the 7th.

Before going any further, please confirm the chart.

I got the ASC at Pisces 16:07. The time is 12:08 am my zone (Cairo, Egypt 00:08). Maybe the software your using does not account for the daylight's saving time in Egypt? I don't know what EET is but right now we are GMT +3. Astrodient says that the Universal time was 22:08 and Sid. time was 17:21:35 when I asked the question. I don't know what Sid. time is though.

Why should I interpret as though a terrorist attack would be against my safety? Because I am a part of the world? I'm not in Germany you know and our national football team is not in the tournament. Could you explain the philosophy of using the radical 1st house?

If I do it though, the two significators will apply! I see no frustration or anything else to prevent Mercury (ruler of 7th) from applying by a trine (!!) to Jupiter Rx (ruler of 1st). Does this mean a yes? *Shudders*

The Moon is in Scoprio in the 8th house. Should this be alarming?

Obviously Astrodienst is wrong on this one: it gives 22:08 as the Universal Time (=GMT) and your local time was 00:08, so it considers a time zone difference of only 2 hours, it doesn't take in account the daylight saving time currently in use in Egypt.
So, the 25 deg. Aquarius rising chart above is correct.

As for the interpretation: my point of view is that you take this personally, you'd be horrified to see anything happening, like everybody else.
But also, you might go the traditional way of assigning the Germany World Cup either the 5th house (if seen as a contest) or the 9th house (if seen merely as a abroad location). Of these two possibilities, the 5th house option sounds more in tune with the actual phrasing of your question "Will there be a terrorist attack against the FIFA World Cup Tournament?" and not "Will there be a terrorist attack at the FIFA World Cup Tournament?".
In this case, assigning the 5th house to the World Cup and the 11th house (turned 7th) to the terrorists will highlight the same pair of planets you mentioned: Mercury mutually applying by trine to Jupiter.
I also noticed Pluto (=natural ruler of terrorists) conjunct the 11th house cusp, as an element which confirms quesited house assignment.
I'm not quite convinced by this chart, though.

Anyway, I'm not happy with how the chart says yes to the question, but I'm relieved by your disbelief in it. Any reason why it's not convincing?

No other particular reason, except for me not feeling/understanding well this chart. I would like to get back to study what the books say about this subject (Frawley, Lehman, others), but I don't have time these days.

Francesca, I would just want to say that personally I disbelieve very precise such predictions because generally they are hard to predict. While they may be obvious to individual astrologers, the astrologers community as a whole doesn't do much.

On the other hand, I read your question while the Moon was void of course, which would act as a strong 'No' indicator.

Glad it's a No to the NYC issue. I'm still wondering about what may or may not happen in Germany though. Does anybody have the data of the opening ceremony to construct an event chart?
