Hello everyone,
I could really do with your help, as my sister is going through a rough time right now.
She was born with cerebral palsy, a condition she has had from birth that prevents her from using her limbs very well. She cannot walk freely, but can write with her left hand. She has proved she is perfectly intelligent through school, and she is now studying to be a teacher at university.
Even though the university she is at is about 15 miles away from us, she is finding the whole ordeal very traumatizing. My parents wanted her to live away from home because it will help her learn independence, and, with the right care she will be perfectly capable of doing so. However, she has become very very depressed and has not embraced the university lifestyle at home. Her stubbornness and refusal to move on is preventing progress. Her only motivation in life is to come home at the weekend, and even though my parents have said no she is still trying to come and live back home.
This would not be such a problem if she was a nice person to live with. But no, she is selfish, rude, spoilt and immature, to the point where she just cannot understand other people and their emotions. My parents constantly clashed with her at home (especially in the past 3 or 4 years) trying to get her to grow up, but she refuses to. She cannot see that she would be miserable at home. This summer she failed the practial part of the course and cannot complete the degree, and now she wants to give up. I understand her point of view, obviously, but I feel like she just needs to change her attitude so tha she thinks about other people more, and then she will make an excellent teacher.
I thought perhaps astrology would help, and I can see that Pluto is coming up towards her 4th house, which I guess shows that she needs to transform her attitude to her home life, and let go of the past. It has already some conjunctions with Saturn, Neptune and Uranus, and in a few years it will conjunc her natal Sun. I can also see that Saturn is in the 12th house, which I think could indicate her depression.
I know she has the intelligence, ambition and drive to succeed in life and become as normal as possible. Underneath what is happening at the moment, she is a strong woman (Cap stellium!) and I know she can do it. I feel bad, because it is causing my parents endless grief and worry: they have gone through so much, and they have played a big part to getting her where she is now.
I was wondering if any of you could offer some insight into what is happening? And if the situation will take a turn for the better soon? Thank you so much.
