After I went on a job interview this morning I did an Horary, "Did the interviewer like me"?

The interviewer is the assistant to the president of the company. Is she the 10th house or 6th from the 10th bc she's the asst.?

Just to be clear, I currently have a job & this would be a NEW company. Chart attached if interested.
Thanks

Moradiva, I would take the 7th house which signifies all other people.
The problem here is that it is not your boss, otherwise you could have taken the 2nd house of the 10th, which is the 11th as his assistent. Each second house of the house before that supports that house. But in your question it is another company and you are not yet there, so this person falls under the catagory of "other people".

So in this chart Mars rules the assistant (was it a young man?) and in term of Saturn (just!) a little before that he would still have been in term of Venus.
Mars is also in a sign where Moon, you co-significator, is found to be peregrine. So I dont think he especially liked or disliked you. Looks more neutral to me, as Gemini also is in fact.

Hi Starlink

Thanks for the answer. I, too, thought maybe the 7th for "other". The interviewer was a she. I felt she was neutral, too. The president is on vacation now & will let me know next week if I need to come back for a 2nd interview with him.

One thing I don't understand is how is the 2nd from the 10th would signify "an assistant"? 2nd is the authority's money/values. I've read numerous times that in a career question the 6th house is for subordinates - people you hire.

Yes, I understand that you think of this but there is a difference between them.

The 6th house is basically the house of illness in horary (not of health as is often thought) and of subordinates, like the cleaning woman, the butler. In missing object horaries, it is the closet where we put our cleaning material.

I choose the 2nd of the 10th as the assistent (he who supports=assists) the boss. This person is of a higher level than the secretary or the receptionist for instance.

Bill Rex in his "The Rulership Book" writes that the 6th house is for butlers, the common employment, cleaners, domestic servants, doormen, and indeed also of employees. We find the more common employers here.

The 11th house he assigns to collegues and people who support one and advisors.

See the difference?

The finance director of the company, I would also put in the 11th house (assisting the boss with his finances). That's why I use the 11th, not the 6th here.

hmmm...Ok, I see what you're saying...but this woman who interviewed me is the secretary, a.k.a. assistant or executive assistant....do we still use MY 7th or HIS 7th?

(sorry, I hope I'm not being a pest. Just trying to learn) Thanks!

Moradive, we are using the 7th in this question, not the 11th. Like I said, you are not working for that company yet, so she, the assistent, is "someone else".
When you look at the PA of your own boss, then you can use the 11th.

Here's a little UPDATE:

As of today, they're still conducting intitial interviews while in the process of relocating....Guess that means I still have a chance!

Final Update....Received an email from them & they hired someone else. But they'll keep me in mind. That's fine. At least they were kind enough to follow up with me.
