Hello to All
I would like to ask: will I get this new job and will I enjoy it if I do?
The position is for a Drama teacher in a college of further education. I am currently working as a basic skills tutor - teaching literacy and numeracy to young people who have many barriers and issues (educational and social, some are very 'damaged') to their learning and I have become more and more dismayed by the lack of support for myself and the learners by the training company I work for.
I feel that I would now like to move into something a little 'lighter' as I feel mentally 'weighed down' by the lack of concern and 'ostrich' mentality of the company management and line managers etc towards issues of the personal security of staff(we are constantly threatened) and the welfare of learners whom I feel are very much neglected regarding their needs also. The sense of helplessness leaves me feeling depressed and angry also, so I think it may be time to move on.
I did work for six years teaching performing arts prior to my present employment and wonder if this is where I am going now.
I asked this question at 11.09 hours at Liverpool, England.
Thanks
Mia
