Last night at 20:26 I received the following horary question: “Will *** reply to my letter?”.

http://www.publicupload.com/files/letter.gif

The querent is given by Mars, the quesited is signified by Venus, the letter by Saturn. Mercury, the natural significator of communication, will be examined as well.

The Ascendant is too late. This indicates that the matter is already been solved, so to speak. I looked at this chart yesterday and today too. I do not know why, but each time I look at it I think: the letter has been returned to her. I think it was a letter, not an e-mail. I know some background information, and Saturn as the ruler of a letter that is sent after such a long time seems to describe the situation very well. Saturn is conjunct Asellus Borealis: you contacted him because you feel you somehow have a share of responsibility in what has happened.

The following elements in the chart make me perplexed:

Saturn is exiting the eight house and entering the ninth, in detriment and in a dark degree. Mercury is still under the Sun beams, in the eighth and in a dark degree too. These debilities are accidental, and do not reduce the strength of the planet significantly, as Mercury is in its domicile. Anyhow, I think that the letter “cannot be seen” yet. But not for too long.
Could it be that the letter was sent to a different state (Saturn in the ninth)? As the planet is slow of course, perhaps there may have been some delays.

Now, when did you send this letter? The most recent aspect of the Moon was a trine to Uranus. Uranus is the modern ruler of the third, and the aspect is separing by 8 degrees. Did you sent it 8 days/units of time ago? If so, why do we get this late ascendant, like the answer to this question is already known?

Venus – which is very dignified - is separing a square from Mars, and applies a square to Saturn. Mars, your significator – applies a conjunction to Saturn. In five days (1 degree=1 day) the Moon will conjunct Mars. All the most important elements, you and the letter you wish to receive, are coming together. God willing I think you will receive a letter, but you may not be happy with it.

I am sorry,

Blumen.

Hi Blumen,

The significator of the letter being Saturn, detriment in a fixed sign, suggests that there are some difficulties with the letter, perhaps a delay in the process of it's arrival or regret or hesitation about sending it in the first place. In any case, although in detriment, Saturn is in term and face, so any difficulties surrounding the letter are not overpowering. Saturn is in the eighth house, which isn't a bad place for it to be in Saturn's case, as it is the traditional ruler of this house. The letter is shown as being where it should be, so it is not and won't be lost. Saturn in the eighth is in the recipient's turned second, showing the letter as being where it should be, in the recipient's possession. It is also a good indication that Venus, the recipient's significator applies aspect to Saturn, so all shows that the intended will recieve this letter.

As for whether Venus will reply is another matter. There are no future aspects between Venus and any of the querents significator's. Venus is very strong, in domicile, triplicity and term, in it's house of joy and rulership, but in the detriment of Mars, the querent. Venus does not like the querent, and does not particularly like the letter, having no receptions of Saturn, so it is unlikely that the letter will be responded to, although it will be recieved.

Draco,

wonderful reading! I agree on all points but one: there is an aspect between Venus/the recipient and Saturn/the letter. It is a square, and normally squares work only with mutual reception. In this case there is no reception. These people had not been in touch for a very long time, so the absence of reception may indicate this, while the square may mean a reply.

The thing I cannot realy understand in this chart is the moon though. It first conjuncts the querent/mars, and only then conjuncts the letter........
