Considering a Career in Music...

Inspired by Julien's thread Arts or science? (http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1844), I have decided to seek astrological advice concerning possible future careers.

I too have considered persuing a degree in music, yet although I certainly have the talent to do so--or so I have been told ;)--I fear that I may no longer derive the same enjoyment from music that I do now, should this become a means of livlihood. However, I cannot seem to envision myself doing anything else.

I think you should definitively should pursue an art degree. I looked at your 2th, 6th, 9th and 10 th house. Your Uranus, Neptune and saturn conjunction in capricorn I think tells us about sth creative that requieres discipline, and hardwork. With sagitarius in the 9th cusp, you may travel abroad to study also, which may stimulate you.
Your 6th house ruler is in your first house conjunct venus, you 2nd house ruler, so I actually think that you´ll work in sth that shows you artistic, taste which also reflects your indivuduality. I never heard you play one of your woodwinds but I´m shure you are very expresive and maybe a liitle bit show-off (aries, fire signs, sun in the asc)

If you finally choose music, would you like to play in an orchestra? I think that´s one possibility.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of music education; although I am usually quite comfortable in a performance situation, I have terrible audition anxiety :o

Of course Music Education it´s suitable!! I think is the perfect choice. Actually I am studying guitar teaching degree and also I´m studying music education , It´s amazing you won´t regret it at all!

I'm not sure what my heart yearns for anymore, and as an Aries, I tend to move from one adventure to the next. Therefore, I am a bit anxious about settling into any career that does not allow flexibility...perhaps I'll be a freelance musician! :p

Music Education would be a wonderful vocation. I noticed that you also have the North Node in the 12th, Neptune conjunct Saturn in the 10th, and Pluto in the 8th. Have you considered being a music therapist? It is a music education and psychology mixed degree. Most of the therapist are freelance. The work can be anywhere from teaching autistic children to speak to marketing and everything in between. Google Music Therapy to find schools that offer the degree.
