I'm thinking of relocating back to U.K from Australia (another chart) but I have a nearly 12 year old Golden Retriever who of course I'd want to take with me.Its a long trip for the healthiest of people so I wanted to know how he would cope with such a trip and if he'd be OK
So I'm the quisitor and represented by the Moon and Mars.My dog is represented by the rulers of Aquarius and Pisces so Jupiter & Saturn. The 9th house (long overseas trips) is represented by Mercury which sits in the 10th house but Jupiter(my dog) is detriment in Gemini
The moon is incoming square to mars(I think) which represents me worrying myself sick about him coping with such a long haul trip as well as Mars to Jupiter(my dog) also Mars is in detriment in the 8th house. Now I think Mercury is incoming trine to Saturn ,also my dog ,so does this mean that he will cope with the trip :crying: also the Moon(me) is incoming sextile to Mercury so does that mean that I'll have nothing to worry about and all will be well.
Talk about confused
Would really appreciate some help here.

Hi, you are Mercury (Virgo rising) and Moon. The Moon in house 6 shows your great concern about your pet. The dog is represented by Saturn in house 12 of secrets ! Uranus on the descendant is not a good sign. Is the dog ok ?

Hello thanks for your reply and yes he's in great health as far as I'm aware but he'll be twelve by the time I'd be able to travel with him due to vacinations he's had to have.I'm not so sure that he'd cope with the journey;he's terrified of thunder let alone the roaring of a plane engine even though vets have said that pets are relocated all the time and yes I am very concerned about him making this trip so much so that it would all be cancelled if I thought that any harm would come to him;hence the importance of doing this chart.
How did you get me for mercury is that because Gemini is sitting in the 9th house of travel? and the 6th house is both aquarius & pisces so how did you get saturn for my dog?I noticed Uranus on the decendant also but wasn't sure how to interpret it

Rocme,
To get some good basic understanding of Horary, I suggest Anthony's Louis' fairly-easy-to-follow book: Horary Astrology Plain and Simple. There is also a thread at the Education board on Horary Astrology: The basics.
In the chart, you-querent are signified by the lord of the 1st house, Mer (through Virgo) and co-signified by the Moon. The dog is Saturn through Aquarius being on the cusp of the 6th. In Horary, traditional rulers of the signs are used, so Aqua is ruled by Saturn, Pisces by Jup and Scorpio by Mars.
Mercury, you, are placed in your 10th house, so I take it that you might be considering relocation due work/career, esp as Mer also rules your 10th? Mer is combust, which shows that you are weak (cannot decide easily) and fearful about something or even someone you care about very much (Mer in Cancer- home). Mer also rules the 9th house of overseas travel in the chart, which shows that you are actually set on travelling and moving home (4th house) to another country (Jup/Sag, 9th house - natural rulers), as Jup rules both your current home (4th house) through Sag, and where you want to move to (7th house: 4th from 4th) through Pisces; even if you haven't got a new place yet. Jupiter is retrograde, so this could mean that you are really reconsidering moving house at all (which we know you are), or that there might be some delay. This would mainly have to do with the pet (which we know, it does), as Jup sits in the 6th house. Btw, Pluto so close to the IC, in the 4th actually does underline some transformation to take place.
Saturn, the dog, is placed in the unhappy 12th house and is sextiled by Mercury (you), which connects you and your dog and shows your real concern for him. Mer is also lord of the 9th - long-distance/overseas travel, as noted, which shows the connection between the dog and the travel. The sextile actually shows that, though he might be very scared and feel unsettled plus lonely (12th house), there might be a small opportunity that things will work out somehow. However, Moon (your co-sig and signifier of how things will develop), which is interestingly enough also placed in the 6th house, is entering into an opposition with Saturn (dog), which shows that the development of things might actually be impeded or, at least, a lot of struggle will be involved (all very Saturn like).
Hope this helps.

There is also a thread at the Education board on Horary Astrology: The basics.:)AQ7Yes I've read this but obviously something didn't quite click  However I've learnt more actually doing the charts and by the feedback I've received;so thank you

Mer is combust, which shows that you are weak (cannot decide easily) and fearful about something or even someone you care about very much (Mer in Cancer- home):)AQ7No I'm not thinking of relocating due to work,it's more to due with family.I have a great job here in Australia as a clinical educator with a chance of promotion the chances of me getting such a job in UK would be slim right now.
Mer also rules the 9th house of overseas travel in the chart, which shows that you are actually set on travelling and moving home (4th house) to another country (Jup/Sag, 9th house - natural rulers), as Jup rules both your current home (4th house) through Sag, and where you want to move to (7th house: 4th from 4th) through Pisces; even if you haven't got a new place yet.:)AQ7I haven't totally made up my mind although I felt quite sure when I returned from UK at Christmas that I'd relocate but yes I know where I'd move to which would be my home town.
Jupiter is retrograde, so this could mean that you are really reconsidering moving house at all (which we know you are), or that there might be some delay. This would mainly have to do with the pet (which we know, it does), as Jup sits in the 6th house.

Yes as I said before I am reconsidering;the job situation in UK is not all that crash hot, plus I'm not sure if I'd get on the housing market also I have my dog and rentals don't take to dogs in their property.
Btw, Pluto so close to the IC, in the 4th actually does underline some transformation to take place. :)AQ7This bit sounds interesting so I wonder what that could be?

HI ALL
i think the dog will be okay despite saturn being kind of peregrine...
saturn in 12th is in its joy house .. so it is kinda possitive
moon will sextile mars right at the change of a sign .. so it could be that the dog will be happy in a new place
interesting unusual horary

Hi Rocme:
I dont think this trip will be good for your dog.The dog is ruled by Saturn in your twelfth (the dogs seventh). The trip from the dogs perspective is ruled by Mars-(the dog's ninth) and Mars at a critical degree..
The moon moves to oppose the dogs significator, Saturn-the most malefic planet.
With that stellium in the dog's first house, I'd be worried about illness and/or loss of consciousness. I guess people arent allowed down there in the bowels of the plane, where the dogs are kept..
With this chart, I wouldnt risk it though-especially if you do have choice in the matter.
Cheers

Independent of the chart, I would also caution you about the process of bringing a pet to the UK.
It's not as difficult as it used to be, but there are still many restrictions to overcome.

wow thank you,I thought it was just me being an over protective mum :D but something continued to just not feel right about him coping with this trip.I really don't have to make this trip right now so I'll stay where I am.All the feedback here has been fabulous and helped tremendously with me learning horay astrology. So I'll be re reading my chart over and over and putting the pieces of information I've been given from everyone to the chart.

Many thanks.I went into all the details with a fine tooth comb;and printed every bit of info from that site;plus others. He had to have a rabies injection and a window of six months after his antibodies were checked before he could travel. He would have been clear to travel in October.I wish I'd done this chart before;ah well.

To Saturn in its house of joy, the 12th; A. Louis says: Maternus connected the 12th to Saturn because Saturn is the greater malefic that naturally rules the misfortunes of the 12th where Saturn rejoices. Saturn delights in misery, destruction and undoing.
So, as already noted, the dog, Sat, is placed in the 12th (confinement, fear and sorrow) and, as already mentioned, is in an applying opposition to the Moon (progress of things). This says quite a bit.
Rocme, you said you were mainly moving because of your family. Could it have to do with your mum in some way (again Merc in 10th house and Cancer; both denote mother)? Just wondering.

This says quite a bit.AQ7This is the bit about horay that just isn't clicking with me .Is it because the moon is emotions or because the moon moves quick? I understand trines, oppositions, squares etc as in natal astrology but I can't get the incoming and outgoing aspects of planets in horay astrology and whether it's an event of the past or something in the future. Is it to do with the speed of the planets?

Just wondering.AQ7Although my mother is getting older she is in good health and has a great man in her life so I'm not concerned about her or any of my family really.I just miss them. After going through a divorce and meeting & falling head over heals for a con artist at a vulnerable time in my life I just thought what the hell am I still doing here in Australia, but I guess my gorgeous pooch is a good enough reason:D

Yes I have done a "should I" type of question as to whether I should move at all and the moon was void of course
(I think) which I've since learnt means a "No" but I haven't tried to interpret it myself yet;but I will certainly post the chart when I do.
