Hi all,

The idea of this thread is to randomly select a Tarot card, and then leave it here for the next person who comes along to comment on, and explain how it relates to thier life, why it is that they were meant to find this card here.

In turn, this person then leaves a card behind of thier own, for the next person and so on.

If you doi not own a deck of cards, then go here: www.facade.com/ , and select a single card at random, form the 'one card' option, and just post the name of the card here, along with the description as well if you like.

Not sure how this thread will develop, but here goes:

http://img258.imageshack.us/img258/9340/img0056mc.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

How do you relate to this card, why was it meant for you?

Don't forget to leave a card behind for the next person.

As this thread develops, it would be a good idea to have a question in mind before coming in, and then see what card has been left behind, and take it as the answer to your question.

Draco, fabulous idea!

Justice: When I see it...I often think there is a duality of feeling in the querent. For instance, if someone vacillates between two modes of feeling about a person or a situation in order to find a higher balance. (He loves me, he loves me not.)
Furthermore, Justice is also an indication that someone is making a decision based on logic, rather than emotion.
ANother meaning behind the card is that karma is about to be re-paid to someone, teaching them a valuable lesson. This card is neither good or bad in its meaning. You just have to glean it's intent by viewing the surronding cards and their placements.

OK! Here is my card for the chain:

Hi Jen,

I liked your analysis of Justice, but what did it mean to you personally at the time, what was it saying to you?

I forgot to ask a question before I came here. :( I was too eager to see what card had been left.

In any case, I see the 6 of Cups as relating to how I am feeling at the moment. I am greatly content today. It's a lovely Spring day and I am wondering when my partner is going to get here so we can go and sit outside a pub and have a beer and a smoke. I think the 6 of Cups is all about these kinds of pleasantries, and contentments.

Also, in that I have a new scanner, I have been looking for photographs to scan, so I can post it on the picture board, but the only pics I could find that were any good were pics from my childhood. I've never been one to have my photo taken since I was a teenager, I cringe when cameras come out. The 6 of Cups is associated with childhood, innocence, memories. So I relate to it in that way.

I wish I had remebered that I should ask a question when I notice that there is a new post here, and then take the card as my answer. I'll remember next time.

Anyway, here's the next one:

http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3610/img0065tw.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

I wish I had titled this thread, 'Chain Tarot: Remember: Ask Question Before Clicking Here!' Oh well, perhaps Mav might be able to change it for me, I don't know if I can change the title in edit.

ADDED:

Okay, I've changed the title now, so what does this card mean in response to your question?

Hi Draco & all..

Ace of Swords - to me this says, I must be absolutely sure of what ever as it cuts both ways!
I took this as to be careful at the moment. This may not be the traditional reading, but that's was 'jumped out'. Very confused and indecisive.

Anyway, the next card is:

6 of Pentacles.

I stumbled upon this old thread yesterday and saw that it was finishing with the 6 of Pentacles – a card which was actually meaning nothing special to me. I only thought that it was the second time in the last 3 months that I was coming across the 6 of Pentacles – and that everything has a reason.

Today I went to my yoga course and as I arrived last minute before we start, the only empty space to unfold my mat was next to a man that most people avoid, a huge man, pretty heavy and stiff, noisy and with all his body covered by psoriasis patches. His gasping for breath with every single movement easily throws you out of any fine balancing exercise, his full body struggles with every simple asana. My first thought as I was unfolding my mat was ‘oh, no!’. My second thought was the 6 of Pentacles.

6 of Disks, the Lord of Material Success – perhaps prosperity is coming to me, I don’t know it. But apart from it, it is also a card of nobility and generosity, of sharing in full consciousness. It belongs to Beauty, to the Heart of the Hexagram, to the place where you come after you have mastered Strength and Kindness, Justice and Mercy. Let the Sun shine and warm, integrate the lessons of the Fall, Healing (absorb the Light) and Redemption (reflect the Light). Apollo and Dionysus, the Lion, the Phoenix, the Child.

So today I understood that the difficult part is not to sigh and tolerate the heavy man in the yoga course, but to smile and share the air, the space, the prana in the room with him; and realize they belong to you no more than they belong to him.

I leave here the 4 of Cups, perhaps it will find someone who may use it.

Four of cups...
the four in all suits is the card of divine discontent. Although everything seems happy and rewarding still there is doubt and suspicion.
This four of hearts is negative and positive as this dissatisfaction can lead to the realization of ones own unreal expectation and looking harder at the relationship.

Hmm I guess I can say I have been in this state a very long time but maybe this will help me look closer at myself, my own state and questions. I have found myself suspicious and wonder why, why why. Though my relationship has seemingly ended in the fall I still feel this. Something to ponder.

Hi all,

I stumbled upon this thread while killing time.

7 of Wands:

I openly groaned when I saw that this was the last card before my post.

To me, this card means hard graft. It means that dedication to a cause worthy of such focus can eventually bring rewards, but these rewards may take a time in coming.

The story of my life so far!!!

My card:

Thank you R4VEN:happy:

Ah this is not a bad card, kind of describes whats going on for me at the moment. I am working towards some future goal, its in the early stages and I need to save some money in order to fulfill my goal. Typical Capricorn Sun eh?! I am working with a new team at work and so far we seem to work well together. I think this is like a 'teamwork' card.

Thanks Neppy,

So this must be my card, 9 of pents, will look it up and select a card.
oh by the way my question was , "Will my money situation improve?"

9 of pents...SOUNDS GOOD....
This card signifies a lucky windfall or payment for work well done, enough to buy what you most want. It can also indicate a retreat to a spa or one of those beautiful bed & breakfast inns where you're pampered and waited on hand and foot. Everything is lovely, luxurious. The physical things the Querent has been seeking, things they wanted but were unable to buy, they will finally be able to have.

In the numerology of my birthday, the magician is my 'soul card'. Magic has always been connected with me in some way, and I have spent a little time dabbling in the occult world of sorcery. Creation itself is magical. To me, card one of the tarot symbolizes being the one life in the space behind the mask of the myriad seemingly egocentric manifestations. Those manifestation are all the magician's tools, and though they seem to be different than the magician, imbued with their own identity, they are all a part of the one life. The magician is a Godlike card, yet tricky. It is a wizard and a sorceror. He knows all the world to be illusive, but summons all reality to any creation of his choosing, for Himself. The magician can create any reality at all from behind the scenes, but must be careful of his wits. It is a card associated with Mercury, but knows the power of silence too, before the seemingly dualistic nature of communication, balanced in the paradox between, where the magic of the one life does wind and weave, then disappear again like a stage magician's trick of the eye.

I believe Tarot is a full symbolic system which does not respond directly to questions (this is why it is symbolic, after all), but which functions on multiple levels and invites its reader to discover the underlying truths. Usually, the answers we are looking for, lie already in our subconscious - and every symbolic system (like Tarots, dream interpretation etc) alludes to those hidden answers, based on the assumption that there is a bridge connecting the universal to the private symbolism.

I do not think I am entitled to speak on behalf of someone absent (Draco), but my understanding of both his original and his subsequent posts were that, who opens this thread gets an open invitation to meditate on a specific card and its qualities: to see the connections to their life facts, and perhaps discover a truth they were looking for - or a truth they should be looking for even if they have tried to ignore it.

When I opened again this 'ancient' thread and had my brief experience in the yoga course soon afterwards, I thought how little value it has to tolerate someone because you want to feel generous, and how real kindness lies in believing deep inside that the others are entitled to exactly the same as you are: so you are not generous by 'allowing to', you are One and Equal with them. And this was my grasp of the 6 of Pentacles.

Now, having the Page of Swords in front of me, I am brought far away from the 'spheres' where I usually wander: to Earth, to the Root, to the Kingdom. But it is the card of Venus in Air, of the personification of Earth in Air, a card connected to Caput Algol, so for different reasons it was right that the card found me. A card of acumen which can turn very destructive, discriminating and egoistic when trapped behind inner fears and insecurities. The antidote is using the intellect to serve generosity and kindness - back to the qualities of the 6 of Pentacles. Perhaps it is a warning of alertness against revengeful or indiscreet people.

I leave here the 9 of Wands for whom feels like/needs to meditate on it.

9 of wands - interesting, was thinking about career... different paths, recently got a new job, just part time relating to what I am studying and I thought it would be brilliant, confirm to me that this career path will be fulfilling... instead I am even more confused now, and feeling like I will never reach a career I will enjoy. Feel like I want to give up now, and just get a job for the money rather than contribute to the world and do something I want.... Soooo, maybe I really will reach a position I am happy with, just have to trust myself that I will and be disciplined:)

The Star: a Major Arcana symbol, connected as such also with a path on the (kabbalistic) Tree of Life;
a) keynotes for the + qualities of this symbol include hope, bright prospects, insight, strong astrological influences, balancing of hope + effort, love + its expression; spiritual love; balancing of the past+the present; inspiration; faith

b) keynotes for - qualities of this symbol include unfulfilled hopes, lack of opportunity, pessimism/skepticism, straight bad luck; imbalance of forces in general; outright disappointment; also stubborness; possibly the end of an unsatisfactory business or personal relationship

(Note: for those interested, may I direct your notice to my post in this section regarding conversion of astrological data into the Major Arcana symbols of the Tarot)

I submit, The wheel of fortune... *my deck; http://www.astroamerica.com/t-drag.html (http://www.astroamerica.com/t-drag.html*) *Copy paste link*

Ace of penticles;
here we learn the understanding of joining ourselves, and our material possessions. For we are both one and the same, both living in illusions and lies of reality.

Looking over all that you have accomplished, and looking back with hindsight. If i knew then, what i know now... as we merge seamlessly as one into the material rather then a division of soul and physicality.

I think the star is the perfect embodiment of aquarius, its the humanitarian and selfless acts of the self, given to others.

Neptune Rising

I think I take the Wheel of Fortune from Niplan's draw...

anyway, I was thinking about a trip I'm taking in half a year, one heck of a trip for me.. Wheel of Fortune turns up in readings for me when things are about to change. The change is already in the air. Its one of the life changes, maybe easier going than a Plutinonian or Uranian change, still change though. Times now are in a state of limbo, career is going nowhere, accomodation is transient and not for me, everything feels quite temporary at this time in my life. I feel in limbo which means I also feel discontent when where I'm at because I sense I should be doing something else, going somewhere else, even if in myself, then followed by an outer change perhaps. So I get the wheel of fortune and this shows me this state of limbo is actually the energies of an upcoming change, and it just so happens I'm travelling soon. Saturn transiting into my 10th house next year will certainly bring a change, in career and home (I may live abroad for a time with my fella :w00t:).

I keep thinking of this thread every now and then, even though I know the card is the 4 of wands. So I came back anyway.

This relates to my life at the moment in that it has become unnecessarily hectic and a bit stressful. I have had a lot to plan and think about, and all that is clogging up my thoughts. I think the 4 of wands is saying to me to find a place of relaxation where I can just enjoy life for what it is. The wands signify energy, and the 4 is stabilising that energy. The people in the card are playing and dancing around, happy, which they can only do when they drop all the plans, thoughts, bad news from the newspapers, ect and just enjoy life. Once all those things are released from the mind, the weight that lifts is a party in itself!

R.Wang writes:

'Far too many people make the mistake of assuming the process of spiritual development to be one of 'sweetness and light', a misconception fostered primarily by Christianity. THE TOWER points out that inner growth must be a painful and overwhelming process. Nature is not always kind to us. Once we invoke the inner forces we soon discover that what we get is what we need, and that is not always what we want. Most of all, it is often not what we expect.'

I very much agree with the above statement.

In the same wavelength and in that context, someone once told me that 'A weed is a treasure'. And I can attest to that, too.

Hmm, my love life is always a bit Plutonian, and I came to this thread with a general question about this, seeking some advice!

Interesting that the Lovers (6) comes after the Heirophant (5). Perhaps this is just what is happening for me at the moment. I like Aeclectic Tarot's version of the Lovers (http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/learn/meanings/lovers.shtml). The card appearing could be an indication of finding the soul mate. Seeing her, he feels as though he's just been shot in the heart with cupid's arrow, so shocking, so painful is his "recognition" of her. ...... like finding a missing part of himself, a part he's been searching for his life long. It is clear that she feels the same about him. They finish each others sentences, think the same thoughts. I replace the 'her' with a 'him'.

The description describes a soul mate. This card is perhaps asking me to recognise this, and look beyond the surface of my own insecurities that usually come up in these situations. To recognise that I'm with my soul mate, and whatever happens, that will always remain. The insecurities that come up are also lessons for each of us to learn with each other.

The Lovers also indicates I have a decision to make regarding this. I have to take the step, take the plunge and trust that the path I follow with this fellow will be the right path, wherever it leads.

The Hanged Man

The hanged man symbolic of all gods who die on the cross, odhin, jesus..

Symbolic of giving of your physical form to the eternal intelligence, the mystery of life.. The whole idea behind the tarot is summed up in this card, The lessons of life.

Self sacrifice to lead you to becoming one with the universe. This card is the most esoteric in symbolism, Giving of yourself, to become all knowing.

I see your hanged man, and give you death.

Neptune Rising
06-19-2010, 11:59 PM
The Crowley death card, Crowley has a unique language to me. I couldn't resist another peak at this thread today. With the transits I have coming up, Saturn to my Pluto to start it all off, Death is quite appropriate.

At the moment I feel like the hanged man, they are kind of similar cards in a way. Alot to do with self sacrifice in order to make a change in the life.

Death, to me, is showing me there is transformation occuring, the seeds are being planted now. I realise alot of aspects in my life are not leading me to where I want to be, wherever that is... I feel alot is going to change in the next year for me. Saturn conjunct to my Pluto will begin the process, maybe triggered by an eclipse square to the Pluto this summer. Alot of things in my life to be released, alot of philosophies, dreams, ideals (Pluto in my 9th / Death card), and this will and has to happen. Its only when we hold on that things get really painful. Then the Tower comes up! With the Death card, as well as with Pluto, its best to go with the flow of what is happening, because it will happen anyway. Things to be released, for new things to grow. I am used to change (Sun square Uranus, Moon trine Uranus natally), the Death card signals necessary change. It also shows significant life points, the times in our lives that we remember as something important. Evolution.

It seems that I made the full trip, from the 6 of Pentacles, to the Page of Swords and through the Tower, for finishing back into the Realm of Beauty and Balance, of Consciousness and Devotion, of the Sun. I had to learn generosity, to face my insecurities, to recognise the treasures hidden in the adversities for allowing myself spiritual renewal before I declare myself armed with courage to start anew.

The Knight of Wands is the Air in Fire, he is a storm of heat, he is energy, creativity, impulsiveness, Passion, he is the force pulling you into the future.
He can be a trickster too, an abuser of the powers of the mind, capable of impatience, of violence, of destruction.

A symbol of departure, of journey, of absence; a symbol of change in residence. I will take it as a good sign then. :)

We are just before the Summer Solstice: the next to open will have the pleasure to face The Sun.

This card earlier, applies very well to my day and weekend. Thanks Niplan even though you are no longer at the forum.

I've had Mars opposition my Moon this weekend, as well as Chiron conjuncting progressed Sun/Lilith. Been through the ringer this weekend, now on Sunday evening a sense of calmness has returned. Temperance sums that up nicely. This card seems to appear in my spreads when there is apparent chaos all around me. Its a sign to try and find a balance with all that is going on. To blend the oppositions around, and find a middle ground. Almost like, sitting in the middle of a hurricane cross legged, closed eyed and just breathing in, absorbing the energy but not letting it take over you.

Temperance is also known as Alchemy in the Thoth deck, the blender of base metals to form a gold. To take the ordinary things that are happening all around, absorb and make it into something valuable to the soul. Its also ruled by Sagitarius, the teacher, philosopher, the sign of learning and the higher mind. To learn also from what is happeneing, which is valuable indeed, a gold for the soul.

Next card (which I got before in this thread funny enough)

I'm needing alot of advice lately! Came here again to find Strength.

Still alot of chaos going on around me in my life at the moment, maybe being triggered by this upcoming lunar/solar eclipse. Still chaotic, the Strength card often comes up in times of chaos, when I tend to give in to my more impulsive nature! Sometimes situations occur that I have to use my assert my will, to get my message across, at least this is what I feel is the best at the time, and this time. Strength is reminding me of my inner strength. I have reacted to a situation to which I thought was very inhumane, and I reacted with my own hot passions very impuslively - Strength says to me I will need my inner strength to get through this situation, and maybe I need to control my passions a bit. It could also show I am using to my will over the situation.

Well, well well -

The High Priestess seems to be about the flow of life which is beyond the realms of the conscious mind. The answers lie in that which is hidden and not conscious.

This certainly makes sense to me. I have only realised in past 24 hours that healing remedies I have been using over the past few months have been for the purpose of healing my son - who shares my house. I have been wondering why I was not receiving much benefit from them. Fact is, I have not needed them, but he has.

Hmm thats a nice one! Twice now I've got that... love the way the tarot can be so straightforward

Same description applies, things are ending to make way for new things. This occurs just at the lunar eclipse 1st/7th house axis, followed by solar eclipse also aspecting natal planets. Its always a bit sad when things end, but its also a release, and whatever it is that is ending, is meant to end just at this time. Everything changes, and endings are changes, transformations. Letting go is difficult when we hold on, just through the desires of the ego feeling that it owns anything... then true healing comes, Pluto the ruler of the Death card, when the desires of the ego are released, and true compassion comes. Lyrics from a David Bowie song remind me of the Death card, and releasing the ego's wants:

"Don't believe in yourself
Don't deceive with belief
Knowledge comes
with death's release"

Ok next card up:

2 of Swords, this is a good thing for me to consider. It might just be a nice idea to look at the ways in which my Ego gets in the way of what I truly want, which is freedom from the repressive demands of the Ego. Kind of funny how that works, isn't it?

So with that said, I pick up this card:

This card was meant for me, I saw it yesterday at work, still here today.

7 of wands shows me there is a challenge going on for me at the moment, I cant lay back and enjoy the seeds of sucess just now, I have to use some sort of creative effort to maintain my position. There can be competition, or challenge posed by other people which means I have to be on the ball, aware of my motivations to ensure I stay on the path (if I'm meant to be on this particular path). It can indicate a time of change in a mundane sense, in that things are being challenge, the energies are up which can be indicative of change. I have to stand up for what I believe in.

Next card:

Eight of pentacles, shows me that I need to concentrate on the work that I'm doing. It relates to mundane work, the work that we can give to serve the community. So this doesnt include my yoga teaching studies as I'm not teaching anyone yet. But I'm concentrating on the small details. In the card, the man has isolated himself from the town in the background, which is what I'm doing socially, spending much of my time studying a bit like a hermit. I'm hoping that it means also that my job will continue until the late autumn, until I go travelling, its a positive card to have in a job question.

I saw the 3 of Wands and thought it was for me, but did not make on time to answer: during the weekend I have been thinking about how, in defending my work against a collaborator not in my specialisation who wrongly accused me of having made mistakes and absurdly demanded my explanations immediately without even being my superior, I came through at the end as 'unnecessarily rough' on him and not collaborative. I have clearly spent so much energy on the shadow side of the 3 of Wands, exploring the limits of rudeness, of insolence, of defensiveness...

Forgetting in the meantime that the 3 of Wands has a light side, the drive of creativity, the sparkle for new collaborations, the confidence in the harmony of virtue. Actually, this is where I should turn my attention, as I am currently discussing the possibility for a job opportunity which fits exactly my skills and experiences, matches my interests and means a brand new beginning for me.

So the FOOL came now from EJ to remind me the light side of the 3 of wands, to put me back on the right track, of where I should focus my energy and remind me I should think positive and save energy for positive scopes: The Fool is the Air, the Joy of a child starting down a new Path with all its enthusiasm and positiveness and trust that the path will turn out right, a card of self confidence, not that much thought-out but more a trust in your instincts and your strengths. Thank you, EJ :)

I asked about healing:

I received the Hermit:

http://rlv.zcache.com/the_hermit_tarot_card_keychain-p146920013224170951qjfk_400.jpg

After a long and busy lifetime, building, creating, loving, hating, fighting, compromising, failing, succeeding, the Fool feels a profound need to retreat. In a small, rustic home deep in the woods, he hides, reading, cleaning, organizing, resting or just thinking. But every night at dusk he heads out, traveling across the bare, autumnal landscape. He carries only a staff and a lantern.

Please see the rest at this website for more vital information if you are concerned about healing! I know I am.

Glad this thread was activated again, so I come and find the Hermit.

After a very chaotic, painful, exhasperating conversation with my soulmate, I find the hermit. About the only thing I can find reason in is the Hermit. I will be spending some quiet time reflecting, hopefully touching in on my/any inner wisdom, or finding some inner wisdom, and hopefully doing some healing. :andy:

I missed out on the last card before this, the Page of Cups, no one answered this, and I needed it. After contemplation, the Page is bringing me some fresh inspiration. I am recieving messages, from the Page which is pointing to messages from my intuition that I should listen to, be aware of. The crisis that has happened to me recently must have a purpose, its showing me something.. maybe the energy that has been stirred up can be chanelled into something creative, something that will bring me emotional satisfaction. Come to think of it, I also have recently made a new contact, a monk, who has pointed me in the direction of a meditation course, I'll probably take this when I'm in India at the end of the year :)

After shedding some light on the situation with some Sun, I recall to myself to the greatest concern I have with healing, and realize it has to do with with a kind of disease of some sort, of the mind. In order to infuse this situation with light from the Sun, I ask what it is I should be concerned about.

I draw this card:

Authoritarianism. Inflexible and dogmatic thinking. A calcified old regime. Bad or incompetent advice. Inability to hear a higher or inner voice, or pretending to hear it for personal gain. [facade.com]

I'm getting the feeling for people here on the forum we might want to take a look at this. I know I am. Whew! Especially with the way the planets are now...

I asked for some suggestion for a piece of work I want to do and got the Hierophant Reversed. I understand the Hierophant much as the Status Quo, following the ancient rules and norms, wisdom and customs, etc. Being inverse, I understand I should forget about all those old customs and norms, and do my piece of work differently, in my own personal manner and not the group's style.

Maybe that's the suggestion for you too, Mod?

Wow. I'm not sure. I think this could be something I really need to consider. I adore this way of being myself... Not totally following the status quo, and being comfortable with necessary limits. Feels right.

So now I come to find the King of Pentacles :

This card is the representation of the final fulfilment of a creative task, business venture, or investment. Here we see a King who has reached the pinnacle of his financial power and influence and is able to rest assured of his continued prosperity. He is no longer required to struggle to achieve what he desires, like the page and the knight, and is able to accomplish anything he wants because he has already proven himself. A loyal and trustworthy man may be too methodical to gain complete success. In other cases, it is the symbol for wealth. The wealth may come in the form of associates, money or knowledge. As a talisman, it is symbolic of luck. Want to make money, be more successful and/or to unite or re-unite with someone. The standstill will be overcome, and/or a reunion is at hand. [http://www.biddytarot.com/card.php?id=57&name=King%20of%20Pentacles]

Hmmmm... this is something I do need. Paid my bills, cleaned my room, organized my desk and office space, cleaned the car and got in checked/tuned-up. Applied for some higher paying jobs. I hope this indicates I'm going the right direction for this....

I leave this card for the next person...

ModC, how it works is you come to the thread with a question, you find the card that was left by the last poster as that card is the one that is left for you to find. Then contemplate and describe how it applies to you. Then, you pick a card and leave it for the next person. You dont need to analyse that card, its for the next person to contemplate on. Your card was left by the previous poster....

EG, Haziea left the King of Pentacles to the next person to come to the thread - this person was you. You contemplated how the King applies to you. Then you would have picked up 6 of cups but with the intention of leaving it for the next person, not for you to analyse, just leave it there waiting....

I feel like exploring the 6 of cups anyway, as it's there as the next card...

I have been feeling a bit nostalgic today, looking back at the past and healing it a bit through the warm memories. It can also mean living in the past, so I'm aware of that and keeping in with the present. At work, I also have some warm people around me, and the lovely summer weather we are having gives a nice 6 of cups feeling of laying in a field of grass in the summer sun. It can also say to me, after some emotional struggle, the emotions have settled a bit into a positive state. In Bidddy Tarot, is says an old friend or lover may turn up soon, that would be nice!

Queen of Wands

Modcleopatra

Ok I picked up the Queen of Wands, thank-you. :)

The Queen of Wands As a suit, Wands are direct, determined and connected to Will and its appropriate application. The Queen of Wands represents a woman who knows exactly what she wants out of life, and aims at her goals with great dedication.
She is often a woman who has experienced conflict and trauma, and learned from these. She's usually independent, forthright and self-motivated. As a friend she will be loyal and honest, though sometimes given to handing out unwelcome advice, and taking over. She's a fighter, who does not suffer fools gladly. She will support and assist those who are vulnerable and needy, offering unceasing energy and determination. She takes up causes readily, and proves herself a worthy adversary. However she has a tendency not to know when to stop, and enjoys being at the forefront of the battle, rather than beavering away on the more routine aspects of any campaign.
This is a forceful and proud woman. She applies high standards to everything she becomes involved in. As a result, she can sometimes be somewhat intolerant of people who do things differently.
So - The Queen of Wands - a fine ally, and a dangerous enemy![http://www.angelpaths.com/wands/wandsqu.html]

I think I could use this as I try to balance more forceful parts of my personality with more gentle or self-assured parts. Making it less about proving myself worthy and more about simply accepting myself for my strength and passion and working with it from there. :)

I asked about my life direction at this time, and am met with the King of Wands..

Its funny as this one came up in my tarot reading earlier when I did the reading with my friend. I don't know any fire sign men, unless there is someone new around the corner , someone who is a real charmer, sweeps the person off their feet! One can dream... Otherwise, it could an aspect of me and what I'm planning in my life right now. Planning a trip to India, maybe on my own or maybe with my friend, but I'm taking the initiative and making all the plans for myself, as well as completing a teaching course abroad then flying onto India, taking the lead of this adventure! I sometimes have self doubts, wondering if this is the right direction for me to take, wondering whether I should do this remainder of the course... but I think I'm heading in the right direction here as all the doors are opening, and the King of Wands is an added confirmation.

Page of cups says this will be the start of something emotionally rewarding for me, something inspirational and I should listen to my inner instinct in doing this course - even to how it was recommended to me from a friend of a friend I recently made contact with.

Mmm, I asked what this next solar eclipse will be showing me, or will enter into my life in the coming months before my trip. Maybe this Queen is telling me to go more into my intuition, trust my instincts in where I'm going. Perhaps I should focus less on structure and details, and rather more on the instinctual side, following my heart. The eclipse falls in my 7th house, and is trine my Jupiter, chart ruler. Spending an hour in meditation each day now much to my own surprise!

I come here asking what it is I need to appreciate, notice, and bring into my life, to bring this desirable circumstance to life?

I find the Ace of Cups, and this tells me with peace, and a sense of love and appreciation for all that is around me, I will be guided into this light of new beginnings.

I asked if my daughter's boyfriend would serve jail time. He has a DUI case coming up October 13 and with his record it is a possibility. I personally would like to see him do time, but for my daughter's happiness I would have to be for his defense. I also asked this question in Horary on another astrology site. I got the answer that I wanted; not what my daughter or he would like.

I will need the Strength to overcome the difficulties, the courage and endurance this verdit will be if the Horary answer to my question is corrrect. I will also need all the control I can muster to overcome my desires to say and act as I would like to. These things are what this card gives.

Great thread. Recently my journey has plunged me into an obsessive inner journey of astrological research and search for my true vocation in this realm. My question "what is the next necessary step towards fulfiling my vocational destiny in occult and healing matters". I felt that I need to study or move or do something drastic but I dont know what that is. So it is fitting that I should get the 'Chariot' which can represent travel literally! It may also meen a need to move forward (and away from safety) and fight for my goal in unknown waters. The black and white sphinxes also indicate a riddle that needs to be solved - a reconciliation of the two opposite pulling forces in my chart (an obsession to finding my place in the world -10th house matters with the overwhelming pull to inner world -stellium in the 12th, moon in Pisces conjunct IC). My Pluto (underworld) in the 10th may show me the conduit towards reconciling these opposites. A move out of my town to study healing? Any further ideas would be most welcome.

A person who is free and explores life like it was his last day on earth. He goes about entertaining himself and all that comes in contact with him. I should embrace this part of myself, taking on the spirit of adventure, being brave and exploring new shores of experience and understanding. Not to be hesitant. The King of Wands is the yang of fire, like a double fire. Perhaps beware of too much fire too, but still, to embrace the adventure!

Six of pentacles is about a renewal of faith after hardship. It is about luck turning your way or being able to give to another...it is something that can not be looked for or plan on yet it often happens when our fortunes are at their lowest...strokes of good luck or fortune which display themselves in kindness and generosity-ones own or another's.

Though the question was about relationships (or lack there of) this is a hopeful sign:wink:

The question I asked was the one I posed as I got out of bed this morning. It was about my ability to transform my health/body through means which suit me - i.e. using my intuitive abilities to seek the truth of the matter.

Ten of Coins is about:
"The card is like a sigh of relief at the end of a period of work and diligence - a sign that all is okay."
It has a lot to do with stability of home and family, and that has certainly been behind a lot of my health issues in the past, given my very sensitive body.

The card I leave is: TEMPERANCE

I tend to read the tarot with a quiet mind, allowing whatever is coming through to come through. So, whilst opening this post I had no expectations, however...

Temperance is my favourite card in the tarot. The card of sag and scorp cusp (according to personal insight). My bday is on the exact cusp, 22-11, 8 hours or so before sag. I dont believe in cusps, I'm a scorpio, with 4 planets in sag, and still I'm a scorp. My moon is in gemini. and further I only have mars and venus in libra, appart from my scorp planets.

There is a lot of duality in me. I'm a sensual, masculine homosexual. I love my light and I love my dark and I hate both too. Currently a lot of people are commenting on my dual nature, the balance I create/the jump-rope I'm keeping in constant motion between male and female. To me temperance has always signified this quality. The angel is merging fire with water, transmuting it into pure white light (theoretically). His ability to do this is his temper, his insight/angle/timing on the suituation/task on hand.

I am the process of mergence.

The card I leave behind is Page of Cups

Neptune Rising
09-01-2010, 03:47 PM
I was thinking, as usual, what to do about a situation. Page of Cups reminds me that I don't actually have to 'do' anything. Capricorn Sun maybe endows me with a need to 'do' something, to control the situations around me somehow. Piscean Moon however, likes to recieve in a passive state.

Page of Cups tells me, the situation is unfolding as it should, even in a fruitful way, and I should allow it to be. It can even be full of imagination, receptivitiy, or if I allow these things to flourish, instead of looking at the more 'pentacle' side of things, it will flourish.

Reminding me to nurture my creative side too more. I've been busy moving house and busy with job stuff, generally busy, not had enough time to just 'be', and 'be' with myself.

Lol, I think this is the 3rd time I've had this card in this thread. Well, I asked for some guidance in my life at the moment.

Death = changes and endings. Changes happening in my life at the moment, something is ending. It's not entirely clear to me what is ending, though I have an inkling... a feeling like my unconscious knows, yet I am still unsure. Perhaps this is my ego wanting to deny what the unconscious knows already, hence a bit of internal conflict. But I do see signs of endings, little hints here and there. A job and a relationship. These are necessary changes, though I am very sentimental and like to hold onto things that I am attached to. But this card shows that the changes are natural and necessary for new things to blossom afterwards. I have always loved the Rolling Stones song, 'you can't always get what you want, you get what you need'. Death, or change, brings us what we need, though not necessarily what we want.

It's a nice card, positive and showing a tangible new start which is in the process of happening. Arian Maverick

Arain Maverick, I am sorry to hear your sad words that you are at the ‘’absolute lowest point of "worldly success, ultimate fulfilment, material satisfaction, and high ambition."

I truly hope things get better for you.

But believe me, 3 of those concepts – ‘’worldly success, material satisfaction, and high ambition’’ are really dictated by modern day misconceptions and not ‘the truth of life’, so to speak. So please try not worry about them absolutely.

Maybe think to yourself that you still have time to attain all these things, it will take just a bit more time, and a bit more patience.

And maybe think of the nine of pentacles – the right way up – as one of your next cards that are coming up  !

On to My question – is it over? ... a friend/romantic attachment ...

My card – Page of swords ...

‘The card represents the critical factor for the issue at hand. Page of Swords: The essence of air behaving as earth, such as a steady wind: The approach of an unexpected challenge, to be met with clear thought and just action. A person filled with an eager appetite for all matters of mind and logic. The gathering of information through unfaltering vigilance, careful examination, and subtle spycraft. The use of reason or eloquent speech to penetrate the veil of confusion and cut to the heart of the matter.’

Strange card to draw at this time ...
The swords is an air element + page is an earth element = I am an air sign and the person in question is an earth sign. So, it seems this interpretation has a connection to my question. Furthermore, page of swords is linked to the mind and logic: and the attachment is question is very much a meeting of minds and individual logical thinking. So again, it seems this card had relevance to the question asked.

And coincidently enough, the page is the messenger of the deck and the question was prompted by a message I had received today. So this card defiantly had resonance with the question.

I will have to ponder a bit longer on this cards meaning to see if it truly answers my question ...

Next card ...

I thought this was fun until I received the Hanged Man card

I did ask a question before I entered the forum, but I ******* up and asked two questions;

Why hasnt love came into my life, and when will it finally, and not just any love but the permanent sort, but at the same time I was thinking while I was asking these questions to myself....about my xboyfriend why did it last for as long as it did and what was our connection? We had something I guess but it was so...I really dont know?

so this card means:

Basic Tarot Meaning
With Neptune (or Water) as its planet, the Hanged Man is perhaps the most fascinating card in the deck. It reflects the story of Odin who offered himself as a sacrifice in order to gain knowledge. Hanging from the world tree, wounded by a spear, given no bread or mead, he hung for nine days. On the last day, he saw on the ground runes that had fallen from the tree, understood their meaning, and, coming down, scooped them up for his own. All knowledge is to be found in these runes. The Hanged Man, in similar fashion, is a card about suspension, not life or death. This is a time of trial or meditation, selflessness, sacrifice, prophecy. The Querent stops resisting; instead he makes himself vulnerable, sacrifices his position or opposition, and in doing so, gains illumination. Answers that eluded him become clear, solutions to problems are found. He sees the world differently, has almost mystical insights. This card can also imply a time when everything just stands still, a time of rest and reflection before moving on. Things will continue on in a moment, but for now, they float, timeless.

Ace Of Cups

This card is a blessing... A blessing that assures us, if we hold ourselves (our thoughts, feelings, body, etc) in a place of love there is no end to the beauty we may allow to flow into our lives.

it is a message for us to start at the place of, our intent, need, desire, direction; if we initiate action from the starting point of love and compassion then our result will be blessed.

water is the sign of emotion and the Ace is the beggining or fresh start.

I hope it comes true...

I asked how my meditation course will be, what it will bring me, and I find the Moon! All about the intuition, feelings, the senses, I will be looking into my unconscious and the relative unknown parts of myself. It can also coincide with a lunar cycle - the recent new Moon fell in my 9th house, opposite my natal Jupiter, ruler of my chart. Nicely describes a new meditation course which starts tomorrow! The course will still be in during the full Moon, it will be day 7 of silence, I'll be looking forward to my dreams during the course! Pity we cannot write anything down.

The Moon (seriously this card came out of the deck)
Thanks for that one, Neptune

I have been feeling particularly `off' in the past few days, with a lot of inner `murmurings' which I'm choosing to ignore.

With Pisces as its ruling sign, the Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition.

There are inner fears of madness, which I think belong with my late mother and her own mother. Just of late am wondering at which end of the genius-madness spectrum I belong!!! (Prob the madness end for even considering it!)

I draw the following card:

Sounds good! I hold the globe of possibilities in my hand and optimistically look forward with high ideals and a desire for travel. There is change in the air...fingers crossed!

On the Two of Swords, we see a young woman who has put a barrier of swords across her heart. Her rigid posture tells us of her struggle to keep her feelings under control. She is fending off any approach from the outside. "Nothing comes in, and nothing goes out," she seems to say.

The Two of Swords is about the barriers we put up between ourselves and others and those we create within ourselves. Internally, we block off emotions and refuse to feel them. We avoid looking at the truth and pretend that everything's OK.

We think one way, but feel another. In countless ways, we divide off parts of ourselves and try to maintain them even when we know they need to be reconciled.
In readings, the Two of Swords often appears when you are not willing to accept some truth about yourself or the situation. What are you really feeling? Are you resisting tender feelings because you might be hurt? Are you furious even though you're smiling? What are you refusing to look at? Notice the blindfold on this woman. She can't look at the truth or even acknowledge that there is trouble.

The most common barrier is a closed heart. When we cut ourselves off emotionally, we sever the connection that allows our love to flow outward. Sometimes this action is necessary, but it always comes at a great price. Every time we close off our heart, we find it more difficult to open again. Another barrier between people is a deadlocked situation.

When two parties are set in their positions - cut off from each other - there is a stalemate. To break it, the "opponents" must come out from behind their swords and listen to each other. The lesson of the Two of Swords is that barriers are not the answer. We must stay open if we are to find peace and wholeness.
Hmm...:pinched:

My question was: Is there a chance of me ever being together agin with my ex boyfriend?
I read in http://www.biddytarot.com/card.php?id=84&name=Queen%20of%20Wands ,

''You have recently met (or will meet) someone you could have a relationship with and are wondering if you should, or if you will. True guidance proves itself, in that it brings with it the action, or ability to carry it out. If you are in a quandary, remember that decisions usually make themselves when the time comes.''
what could be the meaning of it?

me an my ex-bf broke up merely a month ago, he now has a new grilfriend and what creeped me out was that the reversed tarot card reading was ''One of you seems to be in a chronically bad mood, and is angry, resentful and jealous.'' THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE! I have been fighting with these feelings since I found out about them.

Offcourse, this coud be just a coincidence, but his new girlfriend is a Leo Sun tht could be ''charismatic, self-assured person who knows how things must be done. Behave like royalty. Parties and other gatherings will benefit you. Find a creative project that fully occupies you. Inspire others.''

This aal could also be of coincidence, but his new girlfriend IS '' red hair, blue eyed woman''

what do you think I can make of this revelation?

Of and the card I chose is JUDGEMENT

I don't know if there's an unstated rule about receiving an answer twice in one week, but I thought of another pressing question. "Will I get this job?" The Judgment card doesn't seem to answer this question, but I believe it applies towards the situation in which I currently find myself. Hopefully, I am "now in a position to place the past behind [me]."

Next Card: "The card represents the critical factor for the issue at hand. Five of Swords (Defeat): A success earned through personal degradation. Separation from friends brought about by an unfeeling and coldly calculated act. Temporary victory tainted by dishonor and providing fuel for eventual defeat." (I'm sorry! :crying:)

well ill cop this one for yas......

I asked why i have lost everything i worked towrds, trying very hard to lean about life alone the way and I did really try hard to change the way i dealt with things in the past and i did a great job... then i found myself without my job i loved and my man i loved and people around me were using me instead of just being a friend... Im starting to not give them that chance anymore... and then whammo.... lost it all

so yeah 5 swords very fitting....

5 is also the number for change so hopefully it means the change that has been going on has upturned enough for me to be stronger now with who i let into my life... maybe all is not lost for that reason.

I asked, which direction is my life going after my experience on the meditation course. I learned alot about myself from that course, and now am wondering which direction to head in.

Funnily enough, Queen of Coins is my card, as a Capricorn woman. The coins represent the material side of life, practical matters, manifestations and solid results of previous ideas, as well as money and finance. Perhaps this card is suggesting to me to look at this side of my life, to make some solid foundations now that I have some breathing space with no job. Perhaps I had better also pay a visit to my friend who is also a Cappy woman.

8 of wands the card of hope

a bright active card which comes up to mark periods of rapid, clear communication. This card will often represent the type of cathartic discussion which resolves misunderstanding and ends confusion. When passing through an event which is sign-posted by the 8 of Wands, there's often a feeling of quick-moving energy, and a sense that obstacles are being swept out of your path

the nicest part of this card is the part which indicates rewarding communications where old enmities can be resolved.

Neptune Rising

I am going to the 3 of Cups, as that was the last card left for the next person. It very accurately describes my situation, I asked for guidance, what should I do? I somehow have 2 guys after me, which I like both of them very much in different ways. One of them is new, the other is known by me for 6 years. I don't want to be hasty. Also I'm having Saturn square 7th house Saturn coming up shortly, I can feel myself assessing my relationships already and becoming more serious about what I need.

Well, 3 of cups sometimes turns up in these types of situations with 3 people involved. But the cups suggests not to agonise over it. Glad it's not the 3 of swords! I need just to enjoy the situation for what it is. Thinking about it, only the energy and feeling of love, pure love, can solve this one. Following the heart.

7 of cups tells me not to delude myself, or I could be being deluded. It is the card of fantasy, dreamyness, also illusion. Well, the Hermit isn't much help really. Yeah, search and ye shall find but what if you have been looking and searching forever and nothing comes of it? :(
Urgh........ Chime in people we need more cards! ;)

Edit: BiddyTarot offers great insight on the Hermit card. It says: You've reached a point in your evolution where you should know that you don't have to have all the answers, or know the future in advance, in order to ward off failure. Reservations and distrustful thoughts are barriers that stand between you and the Source, and they must be worn down and eliminated.

Magician is a nice card to have! It tells me I can make it happen, whatever it is that I want. Now is a good time to create what I want in my life. I have randomly chosen: STRENGTH, reversed.

Prisma
10-12-2010, 02:07 PM
General: When Strength appears in reverse, it’s an important indicator that you have a lot to be grateful for and that you should make a point in the very near future to count your blessings. Yes, everyone wishes for more than they have - more health, more friends, more money, more… whatever. Appreciating what you currently have in hand is key to opening ourselves up for more.
Work: Before you can expect the people you work with to be crystal clear on what your talents and skills are, it’s obvious that YOU must be clear first. What are you best at? What gets you moving? These should give you some insights into where your strengths lie. Once you are clear, this is a good time to make sure that those in a position to hire you (or to keep you employed, or to give you a raise) are aware of them as well. Take things one step at a time, you are already doing well when this card appears, there is no need to push too far too fast.

Another thing it points to is self-sacrifice. Do you feel like you are sacrificing your needs in order to achieve something? I'm not clear this kind of sacrifice is actually recommended by the Hanged Man. He just says that's what you do and it may well be the reason for your frustration. I say quit putting yourself second and start doing the little things you need and deserve while still on hold for the biggies.

The past is gone and the future looks uncertain, but you don't want to be faithless or fearful. You want to be at peace with yourself or your predicament and for your incentive to be restored. Emptiness is a necessary vacuum. A cup that is already full has no room for more
You need to be independent. Empathy may distract you. Think with your head, not with your heart. Devote your full attention and concentration to your situation or the volume of information will overwhelm you. Tell it like it is.

Judgment, this is a time for laying the past to rest. I've learned from the past experience, I've asimilate the lessons that the experience taught me, and I have resolved the energies that were stirred up at the time. A new stage of evolution awaits!

Next card: Heirophant.
Thanks for The Heirophant, Neptune. As I opened this thread I'd been thinking about a personal family issue which is upsetting me deeply, and my response has been to feel powerless. The Heirophant:

"You know how to solve your problem, this card says; it is not easy, not a quick fix, but it is do-able. The solution is there, you've only to bring it down to Earth. "

Thanks R4Ven for Chairot.

Lately I've had alot of drive and energy to pursue my goals, also because I have the time while being out of work, to write up my blog, and consider creating a website once main parts of blog are finished. On it is yoga, astrology and meditation. It's like I have my blinkers on now, and just want to work on that. A friend asked me out for a Friday night drink, but I've become a work fanatic wanting to get my writing done. This is what the Chariot describes, going for your goal even in adverse conditions, you have the ability to acomplish what you want to get done. It's up to you to direct your energies in your desired direction. Also warns about this immense energy, and directing it constructively, and not aggressively. Perhaps it's the progressed Mars conjuncting my natal Sun.

Oo thanks Sui for the Magician.

I was thinking about a new idea I had for the little venture I'm putting together. Whether it was a good idea to add this extra bit. The Magician say I can make it happen, it's a great card to have for new starts, new jobs, anything new as it shows that you have all the energy inside of you to make happen what you want to happen. It also shows that now is a great time for new beginnings as the energy around you is very auspicious.

Judgement is a good one for me! And listen to that:
"This card is about facing the past, accepting it, and getting on with your life. After a period of unhappiness, the past will fade and you will have a change of consciousness for the better; a rejuvenation of mind and spirit."
This sounds about right vis-a-vis what's happening in my life!

Strength I think I should take as the next person.

I had a bit of a freak out today when I asked a person I know for business advice, the technical, boring part of setting up a business. I always get confused and annoyed when I talk about such things. But, I know I need to get my head around those things. One step at a time.

Strength is saying to me to control my inner wild emotions. I did get upset at this person because I was getting confused at their answer, and it wasn't the answer to the question that I was asking, plus I didn't know what to ask. Urgh! I thought of Saturn now transiting trine my 10th (and 9th, 5th,6th,7th) house rulers Ven/Mer, while entering the 10th house soon, as well as squaring natal Saturn!! I can see now the hard work involved in making my desired career happen. Strength, centering onself in a time of turmoil, harnessing the inner energies and taming the wildness within. Courage to see things through. Testing times, but the card is saying that we have the ability to stay with it.

Neptune Rising

Lol, 5 of cups, quite appropriate for my question. I asked about a guy that I have been seeing but I suspect he doesn't really like me.

5 of cups has a  feeling to it. I feel dissapointed, a bit let down, the cups are emotions so it is an emotional feeling. Emotions come and go though. This can also show that I am looking at the negative side of things, focusing on that too much, so this is bringing me down. In the Thoth Tarot it is called The Lord of Dissapointment. I also had expectations that I put on him and the relationship, which I am being reminded that they might not be realistic. I am being reminded of what I really know inside but have chosen to ignore in the hope that things will be different. All esences of the 5 of cups.

I took the knight to relate to the gentleman that I recently met. And the energy of the situation surrounding our meeting. It is a fast moving card, maybe showing that I want things to move fast, darn Mars in the first house and conjuncting progressed Sun! It is a good start and it is a warning about having alot of intellect and rushing ahead with this air energy... but it is also good to balance this with water and empathy - too much intellect can miss people's feelings.

Picking up the Empress card here. It seems to me that I am in the middle of grounding relationships and projects. Pulling them out of the ether and actually building them into something sustainable and real. I see this card as me being very pregnant with possibility and promise. There are lots of ideas and plans that are still gestating but that promise fruit in all directions. This i a very beautiful card to receive at this point in my life.

I don't believe in the term, 'the one', though I have a vague notion what it refers to...

I have two suitors, both lovely in their own right. So I asked about the new one.

8 of pentacles, a time for working towards goals. I am willing to put in the effort an the time to create something of value in the future. In this sense, the 8 tells me that there is promise in this new situation, it shows that I also have faith in it. This is as good a start as any.

I asked about one thing yesterday, got busy and didn't get a chance to write a reply. I came back today and asked about another thing and the Fool is still here.

So the Fool is saying this is a time for new beginnings in my life in a few major areas. I am a bit cautions that I am making the right choices, when I know that any choice made will be the right choice and leads onto the next thing, and the next, and continues the chain of events. But I just should commit to what I feel I should follow right now and enjoy it. To live in the present moment is an essence of the Fool, to have an innocence but also with the wisdom that was gained from the past experiences. The Fool is innocent but also wise. The Fool reminds us that we need to play and enjoy life like children, also with our wisdom gained from experience.

Neptune Rising
11-01-2010, 12:25 PM
Hi Kerrie

The card that you pull for the thread might have to do with your own vibration, but it's ok, I don't think it affects the next person's question. When the next person comes to the thread and forms a question in their mind, the resonation of the card that was left should match the resonation of the person's question. At least, that is what I've found

I just had another question about a new relationship that is in my view, during a Venus retrograde! I asked if they were finished with their past, :surprised: so I asked about them and not about me. I didn't really fancy being part of a situation...

3 of wands upright normally means making plans for the future, waiting for the ships to come in. It's an optimistic card. Reversed though says the plans not happening, there are no ships to come in, plans on hold.

Temerpance. I asked about the type of learning me and a person are having. Temperance is the card of the alchemists, turning metal into gold. Turning something at it's most primary stage into something of spiritual value! Wonderful card to pick. It shows we are making some sort of magic through our meeting, a kind of spiritual learning. Temperance is also the card of Sagitarius, which is quite fitting. Using wisdom of accumulated knowledge and information, blending opposites in a magical way.

I ll take that

In the context of love, when the 8 wands appears, you probably are feeling ready for a commitment that doesn't seem to be forthcoming. Again, you must not push someone before they are ready. You can't get your needs met by force. Distract yourself if necessary, and your beloved may be back to you before you know it, offering the love you'd been hoping for, on a silver platter.

Lol, I asked about my love life.

Ah the hanged man! A sacrifice has to be made here, I am giving something up and I need to change my perspective on this. The giving up can lead to a change of perspective. It is not a time for action now which I feel. This also shows that maybe I have tried to control situations but now have reached a point where I have absolutly no control, so I have to sacrifice and step back. Pushing for results will get me nowhere, so I'll just hang around and take a different view. Good time for meditation.

Eight of Wands

Super thread, OP!

Hmmm, why I was "meant to find this card" and post by simsui. Well, first of all, it's because simsui is my astro-twin natally and my buddy.

Secondly, the card meaning is something I looked up:

Upright - Understanding and harmony. The time and conditions are right to facilitate success. A process of speeding-up and an end to delays. A time for 'grasping the nettle', taking the initiative or taking charge. This card also indicates: important journeys, correspondence, and favourable news. A card of hope.http://www.paranormality.com/tarot_eight_of_wands.shtml

WOW, there is no other better way to explain my life theme right now. It's a loaded answer. Basically, I am grappling with timing and new beginnings and end to delays in love (waiting for the right moment a past love will return somehow - horary says it will happen with MUCH delay), home (at a crossroads right now, have to get a bigger place for my little one and I.) and career (also feel a promotion and managerial job is on its way to me - horary confirms it too!). For all of this to materialize, I would be a happy Sagi. "Important journeys, correspondence and favourable news" is exactly what I'm waiting for on all counts in love-career-home, as I sit here and write this. I know I have to be patient and postitive, and those two qualities together are the definition of this card. Hope. AWESOME.

Thanks, Sim!

Ace of pentacles suggests a new beginning, the start of something practical and real, like a new job, new source of money, new house. In relationships it suggests a new beginning on a practical, real level or making a committment. Sui, I'd be interested in a tarot reading thread, perhaps we can put it in the spiritual board...

I asked, what am I gonna do about my debt, material that is. Somehow they have tracked me down, I feel like a hunted fox (wipes brow in self pity..). The Sun card give me a bit of hope. I know that the debt is out of date now, the 7 year rule that goes back to ancient times apparently. Perhaps the Sun is saying have faith and be optimistic that it will resolve in a favourable way. The Sun shows that I have the confidence to find a good resolution to this, I have to keep focusing on a positive outcome and this will attract the same energy. I have to feel the energy of positivity to bring it into manifestation.

I drew the six of cups Reversed.http://images.facade.com/i/t/cat_people/l/r28.jpg Cat People Tarot
Six of Cups (Pleasure)

The cups sit in their niches like reliquaries, the repositories of forgotten hopes and abandoned dreams, all neatly put away to age and mellow, like good wine. The robed figure contemplates the bittersweet memories evoked by one of his cups. He is an aristocrat whose outward life has been successful, as his rich robe, jewels, and long hair indicate. Nevertheless, he feels a bit unsatisfied, as if something is missing from his life. His companion cats look on expectantly, hoping for a tangible tidbit. Being cats, they have no regrets for their past behavior and experiences. Savoring the here and now, they never look back.

The card represents the critical factor for the issue at hand. Six of Cups (Pleasure), when reversed: The future. Opportunities ahead. Coming events. New vistas. Plans that may fail. That which will shortly arrive.

The card drawn for me was two of wands. It was appropriate. I asked if I would get published someday. The card interpretation I looked up fit well with the energy needed to obtain that goal. I don't know anything about tarot though.

queen pents
whether or not you are currently involved with anyone, and that to do so can improve your love life immeasurably. If you are single and seeking love, it is particularly important that you take the time and trouble to create for yourself a "home base" both in the mundane and in the friends and family that surround it, that makes you feel comfortable, happy, and cared for. This grounding may well attract the love into your life that you have been seeking. The old saw that you must love yourself first, holds very true when this card appears

I went to a 'psychic' shop in London a few days ago and tried out 3 different tarot decks, just pulling 3 cards and asking about a romantic situation I am in. Each time I got the same meaning, decietful people around me! :bandit: When each deck produces the same meaning for me I know it's beyond coincidence and I gotta listen to the message.

Things are not what they seem and I should try and have a plan B because plan A is not gonig to go as planned. People may be trying to get one up on me, or they may be witholding information or just plain out lying to me.

I asked about a person.....is he coming back in my country for the hollydays ....but I can't apply the card to my question....however I have good feeling about the card it meaning and the question....the person in my question is young powerful man ....

the next card is:
Nine of Pentacles (Gain)

Neptune Rising
11-25-2010, 10:49 AM
That's a nice card to have. It shows a certain amount of independance and a bit of a harvest card where the fruits of your labour are starting to show. There is one person on the card, suggesting that the person is on their own and working alone, but in this aloneness they are independant and self secure. So rather than being lonely, it is a comfortable aloneness. There may be material gain, or gains in health which is another manifestation of self security.

Next card:

The World

suimui10
11-25-2010, 08:47 PM
Taking the World card, thanks!
I asked about a new guy who pursues me.
Not completely sure what it means in a love reading though.

Leaving behind the Two of Swords.

Hmmm...two of swords
Closing heart to a friend who keeps trying to reconnect. Not in my best interest for sure, guess I should come clean and clear the air.

I will leave Nine of Wands

Neptune Rising
11-25-2010, 10:32 PM
Yes, I asked about romance.

9 of wands describes it pretty well :andy: It's been a struggle but I have gained alot of inner spiritual strength through it. I could give up at this point but I need to stay strong in my faith and belief in my own philosophy (fire). I have been wounded during this experience, spiritually, as the guy who stands in front of the wands with a bandage on his head, but the strength is behind like a back up. It has been a bit of a moral battle, maybe that is the current Mercury/Mars conjunction in Sagittarius previously opposing my Descendant and now heading towards my own natal Mars. Yipee! LOL

Next cards:
2 of cups

DiDi
11-25-2010, 11:22 PM
2 cups.... Thats the same card that comes up for me at home when i asked about a reunion with the man i love...

Clouds in the distant showing sader times in the past, a comming together of a union but one that still needs discussing about... weather it be about future or past summery of the expectations of the induvidual.

and im still waiting thou:annoyed:

I leave... Ace of cups

Neptune Rising
11-27-2010, 12:51 AM
Thank you Didi.

Ace of cups!!

New love, healing, an opening of the heart which allows love to flow, both inner love from within which may result in an outer love manifesting as a reflection of the inner.

Hmmm, which love is this??

Next card:
3 of wands

DiDi
11-27-2010, 02:51 AM
Nept rising... the newest one
the ace of cups can also mean a independance from a loved one... not a break up but a inderpendance depending on the other cards sourounding it.. as there are non.. use you intuition on what it means for you :kissing:

I had a dream last night like i do every friday night with my dad who is deceased in body is allways in them these days... and my ex was tring to get a message to me and he said he was on the overnight travel train and would see me soon sweet dreams xx
so i asked if this was a message for me or just a dream?

3 of wands..................

in the RW deck the guy stands looking out for the return of emissaries he had sent out prior. So it is more about progress, expanding horizons, keeping your eye on goals, something coming back…
....................I wonder????

I leave ................... 4 of cups

To be presented with an offer....

Neptune Rising
11-27-2010, 10:47 AM
Thanks Didi  the newest one it is, perhaps after the Mercury retrograde... sigh..

4 of cups, despondancy! Tired of the same old thing coming up again and again, which leads to boredom and maybe feeling trapped in a situation. I guess that is looking at the surface of things and patterns that repeat. The card suggests to go within to find the answers and find a way of breaking out of the same repetitive pattern.

Also it shows an oppertunity, but the person sitting beneath the tree looks a bit jaded with his arms folded. There are already 3 cups there but the guy is showing no interest in them. Maybe he is not ready to take what the hand is offering, or has had his 'fill' from the other 3 cups and now he needs to 'digest' or assimilate what they gave to him before he can take the other cup.

Seems pretty apt. I've had alot of struggle lately and there is alot of anger in the air I've found with this Mercury/Mars conjunction square to Uranus/Jupiter. These are all aspecting my progressed Moon which is opposing my natal Mars. I've had my fill now. Time for a break.

Next card:

10 of pentacles

I took the knight of wands............... relates well

Really good insight to that card neptune rising, That card has many layers hey?

suimui10... the 10 of pents not only relates to finances but its a card of marriage and children and financially being able to cope.. it is one of protection and good foundations and the sharing of wealth wether it be money or knowledge or love... like building a happy foundation.

okay so next card.... Queen of penticles

Didi, yes 4 of cups is an odd one to me... never quite sure what that man under the tree is thinking...

2 of swords, come to an impasse. No movement at present, perhaps a bit like a stalemate in a game of chess. In the Zen tarot, this card is called 'schizophrenia' and shows a man stuck dangling between two cliffs. It is asking to make a choice so as not get caught in the indecision that this card can represent. For the moment, I've taken a step back and decided to just meditate on it, to see if I can find the answer inside.

Next card:
Queen of Rods

DiDi
11-30-2010, 07:46 AM

is it like if the decision is made a gathering of organisation of the matter be undertaken or you end up going backwards to find more (ace) opportunities to travel a different path?

Ill take the queen
I asked what do I have to be like to find power in myself to overcome my bad eating habits due to sad feelings and in turn i will have my power back to face my ex............sigh sigh:sad:

This whole thing reads like a conversation:

--Work: The appearance of this card may signal that your work situation is about to come to an end. Your best bet is to get your ducks in a row and think through what you will do if you do indeed lose your job, for any reason. You may have been treated badly by someone...

--"Like many of the Swords suit, the 10 of Swords does carry an unpleasant connotation, but it is also not necessarily the end of the world. When the 10 appears, however, it is a clear signal to be careful about where you put your trust."

--"Yes, taken advantage on a project, yet again. :sad:What is the point of trying? Sometime it seems like it is curse, to dream, to try, 'cause you just can help it. So sad.":crying:

--...You cannot force someone to love you or to behave respectfully...
--You are being guided to a situation that is better for you. Trust yourself and trust in the universe...

Hope...:unsure::pouty: Will see...

Don't worry too much about the 10 of Swords. It only describes the present and very near future - it's only one card. This is not an extended reading. Even 10 of swords entails hope for a better future so keep the eye on the good that is coming up. {{hugs}}

It suggests much happiness is possible and emotional fulfilment. This comes after stuggling and learning through the previous 8 stages and comes as a well deserved reward. Enjoy while it lasts!

Sorry about your Mum solarsophie, wishing her and you positive light energy!

I asked a far fetched question about the possibility of living arrangements in a romantic sense. I gotta move from where I am soon. It's soo cold here in the winter..

Ooo the Empress.. maybe I'll get my wish of having a nice house in the fertile countryside of England! None of this town smoke that I get currently. It shows a comfortable living arrangement with nuturance and caring, a creative, caring environment where one can relax and enjoy just being. Its a nice card to meditate on, the energy of a relaxing day in the summer, warm from the inside and out, grounded and enjoying nature and abundance.

Next card:
9 of pentacles

haha, nice game.

Oh, I love the 9 of pentacles. I have been getting it more and more in readings. To me she signifies a lady of leisure, accomplishment and of becoming good at what she does. She has wealth in her clothes and she is refined. She is enjoying the finer things in life: falconry in this case. She is also self-reliant and self-made.

I can certainly relate to her energy at the moment. I've worked very hard for the state of relaxation, calm and enjoyment I'm having at the moment. This card is just saying to me that after all the hard work, it's well deserved.

I drew the card HIGH PRIESTESS for the next person. Enjoy.

Hello

Wel I'm coming here asking the tarot to help me choose something. I am unsure whether to take High Priestess or Queen of Cups, so I'll take both. Watery femininity and intuition. It's basically saying to go within and find the answers there. I need to trust my intuition and stop second guessing myself. I have alot of options open to me just now, so I need to use my senses to discover for myself which is the right one.

Didi,

Check your thyroid! Your symptoms sound like hypothyroidism. Google it for info but go to a doctor for the real test. The Queen of Cups is a super-emotional lady; your post is emotional and you come across as desperate for a solution to your health problem. So it reflects your emotional state. At the same time, she is a Queen! You have a good head on your shoulders and you will get to the bottom of this! A Queen is never to be underestimated. You can do it! Keep us posted (pm me any time).

Thanks for the 9 of wands. It's so true and it answers my question about whether I can do this; move on to this relationship with trust and emotional equilibrium.

Ah the memory card of fond times gone by. This nicely describes what I was asking about. An person I haven't seen in months I will meet up with soon, also to balance out some bad karma that we parted with hopefully. I remember the good times, fun, happy memories. This could also show that we can be friends now after all this time. Maybe I'm looking to live in the energy of happiness again after a bit of recent struggle, and I recall such happy time from the past now.

I've seen this thread over, and over and over, and left it alone.
I read what it is about, and see that I am left with "The Tower"

:annoyed:

I have to say that it may have to do with my husbands deployment in the military. He came home 3 days early, but I won't get to see him just yet. Have you ever had 72 hours worth of work to do, with less than 20 hours to do it? I would say that is a sudden shift...It appears though, that the tower is an indicator of something more than someone arriving unexpected. As independent as I am, it's how I pass the time with him gone. 1 job, 4 volunteer positions, and many more male friends now than when he left back in August...
I am certain there is going to be something coming up, or a gripe over something done over the last few months that we will be dealing with.

I looked at the 2 of swords cause i asked what someone plans to do about us... i know you are aware of what it means suimui10 but I read another take on it.. anyway I didnt take it...

The water signifies emotions, and the rocks show tension. One of the divinatory meanings of this card is tension in a relationship, needing a cool head to solve the problem. A need to look at both sides of the situation. The waxing moon shows a new beginning arising out of the solutions found for this problem. The preponderance of grey shows a need to be neutral, and to look at both sides of the situation. The balanced crossed swords signify the same thing. Crossed swords, in Native symbology, is a symbol of truce. A truce needs to be called, and the problem needs to be resolved using logic

I came back and made a statement instead... were never going to get back together are we?
10 of cups.... the world likes to confuse me.:crying:

I leave.............. UMMMM seriously I drew 2 of swords

Flowergirl

Two of swords

Aw, the harsh realities of life that we don't want to face. I see the water in the background as feelings, with the rocks being the stark, solid realities of life. The woman in the card draws two swords over her heart. She doesn't want to feel the mixed, moving feelings in life (water) nor want to see the harsh realities in life (rocks).

Funny, but this is totally how Piscean people are. Prefer the rose-tinted glasses and good natured-ness in life and don't want harshness or unpleasantness. :whistling::innocent: Run, Forest, run!

My husband was just trying to explain some things to me regarding our fiances earlier and I totally froze with fear. I don't like conflict and with Taurus Moon, I don't like my stability or finances shaken. It scares me that my husband is so reckless with money and we don't have much savings. I like to have some savings if the **** hits the fan, and to know I have a soft place to fall. Understanding astrology is great!

Nice, this signifies a new start which was initiated by myself. It is positive to see this as it shows there is alot of will and energy behind the new start, it has potential to actually go somewhere. The ace is a potential and has passion, will and enterprise behind it. Fire. Where it goes is another matter but the potential is there. Fire also represents faith, so I get the idea of having faith in this new thing and carrying the passion and vibrance of the fire element.
