How would you interpret progressed Moon Square Venus (Moon in 6th in Virgo, Venus in Gem in 2nd)? If this was a conjunction, opposition or trine, i'd expect a relationship to begin or to gain some extra money, however under a square aspect I don't know what to expect...any suggestions?
I see the progressed moon as a timer of events that are indicated in the natal, progressed, solar and transit charts........For example, natal Venus sextile mars; progressed Venus trine Mars; solar Venus conjunct Mars and Uranus transitting 7th house indicates the likelihood of an exciting relationship........which is most likely to begin when progressed Moon contacts natal Venus......With the square suggesting it may not be "love at first sight".
Basically, what I'm saying is that significant/meaningful events happen when the indicators appear in the natal chart and all/most of the individual's "predictive" charts..........So, you need to also consider these in your interpretation.

Thanks for that EJ.
Ok, so I shouldn't interpret Venus on it's own. My natal Venus is 18 gem, opp Neptune at 22 sag....so should I expect something to happen at the midpoint of these (20 virgo) rather than when it hits Venus?

Hello Astropsychologist! A Moon-Venus contact is usually an indulgent aspect. When these two square it could get even worse and you could tend to eat more during this time. It would be very descriptive of an emotional binging if you know what I mean, eating to feel comfortable, eating because you lack love.
With Moon in Virgo, you must be diet orientated or interested in health, eating healthy etc. Venus in the 2nd is well placed, but fickle when it comes to money issues, unless Mercury is placed in a solid, careful sign.
The 2nd house has to do with your value system, how you value yourself. If that is not very stable, you could tend to either buy a lot so you feel better, or, with the square to the moon, eat more chocolate:).
Another possibility is that you could spend more money on healthcare products or diet products. A square between two benific planets usually does not work out negatively. Like Moon-Jupiter. Worst could be gaining excessive weight or becoming over emotional for a while.
With Moon and Venus it could be self indulgement, after all Venus ruler sensual Taurus who likes dining and wining (usually, not always, but chocolate is always a big "yes"!!).
About a relationship with a Moon-Venus square. Still very possible, it does not always have to be an easy aspect. So maybe a romance in the workplace? but not without a bit of stress attached to it.
It is important also to note which houses are ruled by these two. Those houses will be under that tension, but not necessarily a bad tension. It could be very exciting.

My progressed moon just passed an opposition with progressed Venus and I had money problems. You have to consider all the aspects in the natal and progressions. Money may not have been such a big issue had it not been for prog.moon also squaring my 2nd house ruler at the same time. You have to take the basic meaning of the aspect and then consider houses involved and all other aspects that are going on simultaneously-this is my experience. An example: A few months back my prog. moon was trine my natal sun and conjunct natal Uranus, not to mention some nice aspects from t. Saturn to my progressed venus and Saturn. This all sounds good except for the fact that Saturn was also squaring Neptune at the time. A great attraction developed between me and someone I have known casually for some time..right out of the blue! But unfortunately I could not pursue this because he was attached already. So what I thought would be a great time for me romantically ended being a total disappointment . Moon sq. Venus could be good or bad depending on other factors. I'm guessing if you had some nice romantic/financial aspects this would only support the fact that you have an abundance at your disposal.
