Was not sure what thread to put this on! Is anyone on this site lucky enough to be a jackpot lottery winner? I wonder if they share a generic 'lucky' aspect? Jupiter must have something to do with hopefully my well aspected Jupiter will soon bear fruit!!

Well, it's all about odds. And people with better odds are those who take more risks. This is what you need to find in the chart; the will to run risks.

well, i would assume if you had jupiter in sag. in the 5th house, you could have some luck with that...i dont gamble that often because i have really bad luck...( mars in pisces in the 5th house...)

Thanks for both your replies. It is probably abit of both, the odds are the more logical side of 'luck' and I agree that Jupiter in Sag in the 5th house perhaps conjunct venus (ruler of money) is almost a guaranteed win!! I''ll just have to cross my fingers I guess!

Well my friend plays poker for a living, dropped out of highschool when he was 18 because he was making money gambling. He has a lot of money, he just wins and wins, hes so lazy impulsive and indulgent, hes like a 2 year old with a credit card. His life is very interesting...

Dear Venus,
I have Jupiter in Sagittarius but in 10th and I must say that I risk a lot and I took a lot of risks in my career and all of them were successful - I mean, I never lost whenever I took that risk...
My 5th is ruled by Moon and Moon is in Virgo - not much of a ``risky`` sign...and generaly, I do not gamble. I sometimes play lotto (only the smallest amount - the simple combination of numbers), and I usualy win 2-3 euros :( But, my Moon trines Venus so maybe I should keep trying... :)

kindda, the same here: jupiter in aries in 5th house and mars 9th in virgo.
risks (sag in 1st house) are really exiting for me though:rolleyes: but not always best

it is not "all about odds" its about luck, which does exist. and alliewar's friends chart proves it. sag sun, sag rising, and moon on jupiter. as well no hard aspects whatsoever. this persons life is nothing about "odds". i would go so far to say that odds do not exist. emotion sways odds.

this is the greek story of MIDAS:
"Mythological possessor of the "Midas touch", the power to transmute whatever he touched into gold.
Midas was a king of Phrygia, a region nowadays part of Turkey. One day some of his farmhands brought him a satyr they had caught napping in the vineyard. This creature, part man, part goat, still groggy and much the worse for wear, had been thoroughly trussed up to keep him from escaping. Midas immediately recognized Silenus, right-hand satyr to the god Dionysus, and ordered him set free.
Silenus explained that he and his master had just returned from the East where they had been engaged in spreading the cultivation of the grape. Dionysus had brought back a tiger or two, an ever-expanding flock of followers and one very drunken satyr. Silenus had conked out in Midas's vineyard to sleep it off. Now he was grateful to the king for treating him with dignity, and so was Dionysus. The god was so pleased, in fact, that he offered to grant whatever Midas should wish for.
Now, you didn't get to rule a kingdom in those days without a pretty active grasp of what makes for a successful economy. Midas didn't have to think twice. As the simplest plan for the constant replenishment of the royal treasury, he asked that everything he touch be turned to gold.
Arching a godly eyebrow, Dionysus went so far as to ask if Midas were sure. To which the king instantly replied, "Sure I'm sure." So Dionysus waved his pinebranch sceptre and conferred the boon.
And Midas rushed back Home to try it out. Tentatively at first, he laid a trembling fingertip upon a bowl of fruit and then a stool and then a wooly lambkin. And when each of these had been transmuted in a trice into purest gold, the king began to caper about like the lambkin before its transformation.
"Just look at this!" he crowed, turning his chariot into a glittering mass of priceless-though-worthless transportation. "Look what daddy can do!" he cried, taking his young daughter by the hand to lead her into the garden for a lesson in making dewy nature gleam with a monotonous but more valuable sheen.
Encountering unexpected resistance, he swung about to see why his daughter was being such a slug. Whereupon his eyes encountered, where late his child had been, a life-size golden statue that might have been entitled "Innocence Surprised".
"Uh oh," said Midas, and from that point on the uh-oh's multiplied. He couldn't touch any useful object without it losing in utility what it gained in monetary value, nor any food without it shedding all nutritional potency on its leaden way down his gullet. In short, Midas came to understand why Dionysus had looked askance when asked to grant the favor. Fortunately, the god was a good sport about it. He allowed Midas to wash away his magic touch in the river Pactolus, which ever after enjoyed renown for its shimmering deposits of gold.

Together with good saturn!
Saturn in the fifth house is "evil" according from so many i can't count.
"Limited"
"Unlucky"
"Careful"
I just want to puke!:(
/JJ
Saturn in the fifth isn't so bad.. my brother has saturn in the fifth and the way it would apply to him would be he takes his art very seriously, which is acting, it also took him time (keyword for saturn) to realize his creative potential. Hes not unlucky, maybe its the sagittarius sun, or limited in fun or creativity in anyway. But i can say that he feels like hes limited in fun and not as talented in acting, he has doubts.

Midas is in my fifth house of Art, Creation, all temporary and fun things. It has seperating trines with the Moon/Mercury in Aries but applies in a trine to my ASC Leo(Sun).
But it was applying in a square to my 2nd house Jupiter :(.
I don't want temporary wealth, I want to be the wealthest man in the world.

I am not a gambler (with money, anyway) but just a couple of things to look for in a chart:
1. Not just planets in the 5th, but how they are aspected. Jupiter in the 5th might be someone who winds up with gambling debts if it is poorly aspected.
2. Look at the ruler ("lord") of the sign on the cusp of the 5th house. What house is it in, and how is it aspected? In the case of Alliewar's friend, he not only has very positive aspects to his 5th house moon/Jupiter, but the cusp ruler Mars is well-aspected in the 10th house of career. Not bad for a professional gambler.
It is just as well that I don't gamble because the ruler of my 5th house is Saturn in the 12th (the "house of self-undoing"), and it is afflicted.
3. Then do the same for the second house (of money.) The ruler of Alliewar's friend's money house is Saturn, also, but he is making a very close positive trine right back to that moon/Jupiter in the 5th house.
Most of us don't have such good charts for gambling, a leisure pursuit for the "mathematically challenged." My friends who enjoy gambling say that the best thing is just to put a dollar limit on the amount of money one is prepared to lose, and then view it as the price of one's entertainment. I don't quite get the entertainment value of a lottery ticket, but then I have other ways to waste my money!

I have always had a weird feeling about the same thing. I have Jupiter in the 7th conjunct Sun, Jupiter loosely square Mars in the 10th; my 5th house is ruled by Jupiter (Sag) and contains my True Node.
Once, a long time ago, I meditated for a moment before picking several lottery numbers and then played them. The next day, those very numbers showed up as winners--on another game!!! ARGH!!! I was in shock and even showed my husband. I don't know if that means I lost my chance or what, but you better believe that when I play numbers now, I play them on both games!

You may say it is all about odds but if you are not fated to win then no amount of money spent will give you a big win and if you do it is often it is at the expense of a huge outlay over time. Conversely there are those who are first time lucky winners and spend minimal amounts. I fall into that category although I have also lost money in other ways...
Asking these questions can take away hope I guess but then you may save heaps of money and better channel it into into other things like term investments for instance.

What bad luck if that is the right word. I do see from the limited info you have supplied that a partnership would be involved in any winnings but without the whole chart I cant say for sure.
I guess it was not meant to be that time.

I dont use words like evil. I have Saturn on the 5th cusp and have won monies in the lottery, not huge but quite substantial. The aspects elsewhere tell the whole story. WIthout that Saturn and it is in Leo, I would not have won anything I am sure.

It's a fourth/fifth blend, techincally in the fourth, but within 3 degrees of the fifth. In Cancer. Granted, people may say that's bad, but in my experience, it simply translates to being "at home" with more sophisticated forms of creativity, entertainment, and artistic insight. One of the pluses is that incorporate "not-so-sophisticated" avenues as well. It's kind of like this umbrella effect, where "high brow" and "low brow" are both appreciated, rather than just "low brow". The down side is that there can be an emphasis on a desire for the "high brow" to the point where it appears to neglect the "low brow". What I have to remind myself is that the "high" isn't "high" without the "low"... or to put it another way, what fun is a good entree without a killer desert? :D

my ex boyfriend is lucky with gambling, although not as lucky as alliewar's friend.
he gambles and bets on sports everyday and he has saturn conjunct his 5th house cusp. he wins most of the time. i think that saturn hesitates him though.. sometimes he can put a big bet down and sometimes even though he is like 99% sure he will win, he just cant get himself to put more!
he always has designer clothes, drives a bmw, changes cars every 2-3 years, totally spoiled lol but he works too so i shouldnt say that. he always wins prizes at work too! not like the "if u sell this many computers u get this prize"-type prizes but the "lets pick a random name out of this hat"-prizes. you know, the ones u dont have to work for. :annoyed:
anyway basically all im saying is he is verrry lucky with money. he comes from a wealthy family too. he thinks one day he'll win the lottery, he always says it. i wouldnt be surprised.
-his moon is in sag, in the 8th of other's money.
-2nd house is ruled by taurus
-jupiter in 2nd house
-venus tightly trine jupiter
-i think jupiter trine mars helps as well.

I don't get it.
Jupiter is not money, Jupiter is expansion, religion/belief system, journey, trying to find out about the truth.
Venus is money, the nodes are money.
US Chart:
Louisiana purchase was the most important event in US history because it doubled the size of the country in one day.
That was Transit North Node conjunct the US Moon.
That is wealth to the public.
I really don't buy the Uranus/Jupiter as the winner.
I say Uranus changes your journey Jupiter; you win you move very suddenly and without planning.
but the money is Venus/Nodes itself.
or Venus (money) expansion (Jupiter) with Uranus (sudden)

In numerology, the number 5 is associated with luck in gambling, speculation and risk taking. There has been literature in numerology giving evidence that the number 5 is the most frequent winner in casino gambling, lotteries and other chance/ speculation activities. They attract money more than any other number, I did a study on self made billionaires and number 5 was most prevalent in their life path and birthday numbers.

Great, number 5 has always been my favorite number!
It also appears in my birth date & time 4 times (and my life path number is 4). I have my 5th house rulers sextile and square Jupiter and my 5th house planet trine Jupiter and sextile Uranus. North node is in Taurus, which is considered a great sign of possesing a lot of money. Also my 2nd house ruler in exact sextile to Venus if that even means anything.
I do feel like I could win something big but I never gamble for real. I LOVE to play poker and the cards love me, I just never played for real money. But if I did I would be a milionaire now!

sure, luck has everything to do with it - but finding when you are lucky is going to take some work on your part. We have access to transits and solar/lunar/etc returns.
Anyone can "win the lottery" if they figure out when their "lucky" times are.
I've been researching the "lucky" aspects based on charts of those that have won the lottery, had inheritance, basically, anything monetary that wasnt earned on their own. Find that in a progressed chart and try it for yourself.
I won $30 today off of a $2 scratch ticket and I never play the lotto; but based on my lucky Jupiter return this year, I decided to test the theory. I was right, not exactly PERFECT but I gained $28 of un-earned money based off an informed decision.

Here is my note and experience on ASTROLOGY used for LOTTERY AND GAMING.
I do offer a free e-book for those active players who would like to win or lower their odds of losing. Picking the lottery is 3 million to one per ticket or more longer odds. Really hard. One can increase the number of winning numbers using astrology. I have not won the lottery, but winning $100 a day and more is almost as good. In lottery, I have been able to assist a team that picked the UK lottery, and was accurate with my 1 number choices at least 50% of the time.
This METHOD is the SOLAR ASTROLOGY - It uses the three degree of the planet positions, and a special and exacting methods. I practice with ROULETTE online, and have a very special set of "STAR ROULES" (e-book), which Roulette players can get for free if they are willing to actually follow the Roules and win. In other words, Players wanted. Confidentially speaking.
I have founded this system to predict winning numbers right on time, and immediately. It is this unique method of confirmation and intuition that aligns both astrological, logical and spiritual techniques. Learning how to do this, without risk, on choice of play for free or play for money online sites (such as betus.com) is also helpful in helping players pick lottery numbers, and making good and better choices in our life.
It all works together. for information, email me here in astrology weekly. I am not going to outline methods in the forum. Individuals are invited.
Paneagle web blogs will have more information on SOL ASTROLOGY and Astrology and sports or gaming methods.

WINNING JUPITER
Players (and good life livers) may use the 60th harmonic to find active signs in the day week and moment of time - Jupiter is very good - to find a more active local jupiter..- today jupiter is 6gem29 - the 60th harmonic is 29 aries.
so anyone with a 29 aries position or 29 degree position in natal planets
or cusps will be advantaged and 'luckier". Jupiter is retro to 6gem19 at station direct on Jan 30, this is 19 aries 60th harmonic (sol) jupiter. anyone with 19 degree planets or 19 aries is especially in tune, have the luck of Jove, and can make the most of sol jupiter (I call it JOVE).

QUOTE BY ONE IN THIS THREAD "I was once told before that with me having Jupiter in Gemini natally (transit Jupiter conjuncting natal now) that it is in its detriment and when there is detriment there is no power from the planet, therefore Jupiter won't do much or anything for me in my life."
How to say this - Jupiter won't do much of anything for me (because it is detriment) - DO WE BELIEVE EXACTLY EVERYTHING AN ASTROLOGER TELLS US. of course not. Everyone has Jupiter benefits in their life.
Astrologically, Jupiter in gemini this year and right now is conjunct your jupiter at some point in the cycle, (three conjunctions likely some time during the jupiter passage)
Spiritually, have you ever counted all the blessings you have in your life? Is jupiter not in a house and also this year is jupiter not now in gemini - sounds like a great opportunity for some form of abundance, expansion, jovian type fortune - and to be able to express your thoughts to the world online is an amazing blessing - By Jove, we all have all kinds of myriad of positive and abundant blessings, just to live being the first, and maybe the best.
Maybe we just need to enjoy the blessings of Jupiter in Gemini itself, a positive frame of mind, intelligence, study, wit, use of an able mind and body, an ability to be mobile, active, and enjoy movies, music, and arts, or whatever it may be!
Jupiter was in gemini in 1965, a great year for music and movies. It was surely not just in detriment that no one could enjoy the Beatles 2 best albums, rubber soul and revolver, made or produced in that year. or "the sound of music" (just my opinion - a great movie).
It was also the year of the Eckankar foundation with Paul Twitchell's wrote and made public his many fine and informative spiritual book's. The detriment may be the Beatles eventually broke up, or that Paul's writing was largely still unrecognized in public, but they did come out. The HU song (which is for everyone) is a fine and special spiritual word which was also brought out in 65, by this modern day spiritual group.

.
quick notes: BEST TIMES TO PLAY
play when jupiter sun or venus is rising on or the midheaven of the place where you play on that day.
play when the moon makes positive aspects or transits, or is in your sun moon or rising sign (or sol sign, the 60th harmonic sun or moon)
play when sun moon venus mars or jupiter make good aspects to positive planets in your chart. (we can add uranus mercury and chiron or lilith sometimes as well) - jupiter to venus for example.
play only when you feel positive and open, forthright, and honest.
when you feel good, abundant, or have the 'intuitive' plus.
and mostly never when you feel negative.

Even with a very lucky chart you are competing with the luck of everyone else who bought the ticket at the same or other times than you did.
When you choose lotteries go for the smaller ones, or the ones where you know that the pool of people is smaller. Avoid the giant $75,000,000 ones since the likelihood of you having more luck than the other people is small. Not pnly do you have to have the right luck natal chart, the right luck progressed chart, but you also have purchase the ticket where your astro*cartographical luck line is. My luck line is in the south Atlantic. I can never will the lotter unless I'm on a cruise ship with a casino crossing that spot.

If you win the lottery it changes your reality in an instant. If you are going to win, you will win. It doesn't matter what the transits are doing. Just my opinion...And anybody can win. You just need to have the right numbers.

This thread is pretty cool!
My 5th house is Aquarius with no planets in it but the Lord of Aquarius is Saturn which is located in my 1st on my AC! Not only that, my Saturn is exalted in Libra which conjuncts my 0 degree Libra Jupiter!
I'm not a gambler at all... but I do take a lot of risks in many ways. Whenever I enter in contests, I win something (usually one of the top 3 prizes or even the most sought after prize). People strangely "feel" that I am lucky and my friends always ask me what to bet on when they go to Vegas (I've never set foot in Vegas). I always tell my friends what to bet on and they win. I have gambled in 1 charity event playing blackjack... which I won 4x in a row with the very last hand I bet everything on the line. (I lost 2x before my winning streak.) After the 4th win, I stopped and walked away :)
People tell me I should play the lotto but I'm not a believer in it so I never bother. I've tried scratchers tickets and I always end up winning back the money I put in LOL which speaks volumes to me in a Libra Jupiter sort of way!

Can you give more info on midas and how it effects?
i have it conjunct the 2nd... so Im interested now :-) Oh and it trines the north node in the 5th.
I also have Midas conjunct the 2nd house, and it also trines my Venus and is inconjunct to my POF & NN. But, I never gamble, I'm not that interested - probably my Sag Saturn in 8th trine my Moon in 5th!
One year however, when TR Venus was conjunct my Midas and TR Jupiter was conjunct my MC, I decided to play and bet on the 'yellow ducky' race. It was for charity....
You bet lots of money $$ on numbered yellow duckies - which one will arrive at the finish line first - and the winner gets some of the takings.
The race starts with 100's of yellow duckies being thrown into a river. There are NO rules - you can jump into the river, grab your ducky (if you find it) and run to the finish line. So, there were people dressed in wet suits armed with sticks lined along the river edge, watching for their duckies....
I just went to end of the race, the finishline and waited on the bridge.
Slowly the duckies started approaching, and the first one to reach the bridge suddenly tipped over. It was my ducky, his number written on his bottom.....before I could reach him, he swam thru the finish line first and I won.

Hi. Ive been studying the works of Celeste Teal. She is so awesome. She has a book called, Predicting Events with Astrology. There is a chapter on money and success and a part of it deals with luck. in gambling. I started to read it and couldnt put it down till i read it over and over again & put my chart in. Some people like to gamble just dont bet money you need for other things. Nothing wrong with enjoying games. r
