Anybody currently experiencing Saturn return? More importantly, has anybody been married and experienced SR in 7th, and survived it? It is scheduled to land on sept 6th 2009.

I've read lots of interps all over the place. Some are very nice,"like stable, could bring wealth and status," some are not so nice, "like theirs a 90% chance of divorce if married before 29, or even worse, death of spouse or father at young age."

Long story short, things are a mess in my head. At this point, all changes have been made internally. I have a stable and secure marriage, my Taurus moon is not going to let it go easily. I'm just not to sure I have much of a choice in the matter.

My natal Saturn does not seem to be in too bad of shape. Neither week nor strong. I do have a thor's hammer involved with it.

Moon Sesquiquadrate Neptune- Lives in feelings (yes, most of the time)
Most imaginative when it comes to spirituality and psychology (can't get enough of it), and built-in psychic abilities and probably given to visions.

Moon sequiquadrate Saturn- Intuitive organizer, Shy and reserved, yes to the point where it has become social anxiety, probably because of finding it hard to give of emotion and support. Also women are prone to feelings of isolation or insecurity.

Saturn Square Neptune-That's a pretty harsh aspect to have. I think that describes my entire teenage experience. Neptune is my asc ruler, and I can feel it.

I am working hard to balance this part. Self love seems to be the key to everything.

That seems to be the only thing working against me. The rest of my aspects are very nice, and I should experience a very stable, enduring marriage.

I have read some people describe saturn in the 7th as a really bad placement for relationships. My marriage is my only long term relationship I have ever had, heck, I was only 19. And it is very good and stable and secure. However at the age 18 I managed to fall in love(or hate, I can't figure it out) with a stupid guy I could never have a serious relationship with (very powerful, can't forget about it fling that lasted about 6 months). And before that, a couple flings. I was always very picky about who I liked. And never really wanted to get seriously involved with anybody. I don't like to play the games.

I just don't know what to expect with my SR, so I just try to take it day by day, and hope that my husband can handle my mood swings, and not give up on me. At this point, he is doing all giving, and I'm doing all the taking.

Anyways, I would sure love to read anything anybody has to say regarding Saturn and relationships. Any experience or advice is very much appreciated.

Thanks

You asked: More importantly, has anybody been married and experienced SR in 7th, and survived it? It is scheduled to land on sept 6th 2009.
:38:

According to medicine I have survived it. I still breathe and the heart is beating.

But if you want the truth I DIED!!!! Saturn in the 7Hs and after the return my partner left me. It took YEARS of therapy, retreating bla bla starting a new life. Good thing was my EGO died too, and when myself is getting back to life again, I´m trying not to let the ego wake up;)

I´m still single and still in therapy. I´ll probably never have kids (due to age and psych. problems). But I´m learning to live again and right now, almost exactly 8 years after the saturn return and about five yrs since the divorce, I´m rather satisfied with life and even have some hopes...

Hopefully you will not have to go thru the same hell as I. Actually the saturn return was exact on my natal saturn degree only a very short time. Those days were no problem. But they led to something, that initiated change in my life, that led to hell lasting for many years and things went from bad to worse.

Astrologically, I had the pluto square pluto transit a few years after the sat return, so hardship just continued. And finally the saturn opposition moon-transit that lasted for 1,5 yrs. Sometimes saturn retroes and bombards a natal panet on and on,like my moon in 2007-08.

So in conlusion, the saturn return transit in itself was hardly noticed but led to dramatic changes of my life. I wanted to change my relationship and my life and the man could not take that. I did not want a divorce!

About saturn in the 7hs there are many threads on different fora. It´s like some bogeyman! Yes I´m picky when it comes to partners. Yes I´ve had only a very few relationships during these decades of somewhat mature life. I had no boyfriend in my teens. Yes I want the relationship to be perfect and lasting or nothin at all. Natal venus in my 5hs or venus as chart ruler does not make med flirtatious or "lovely in the normal sense". I hate games I just don´t fool around. But now I think saturn in the seventh house can even be a blessing:p

I can relate to your problems. (I have neppy rising and opp. saturn). I still don´t know if it was a good thing to separate (both for him and me, since we have not been especially happy after). But sometimes a divorce is just the only option. In that case it was good, since living together was impossible and now at least we both have tried living without oneanother. My partner did just not like the fact I wanted to evolve and get married and have kids someday. I got this vision about a better future during the sat return, and I was not sure he was in the picture...

Best wishes and lots of love!

Thank you Gwenyhfair.

I know changes are coming, just not sure how or when. It drives me insane because I always imagine the worse outcome.

All that is saying is that people who marry young do not (always) make wise decisions, and by about age 30 they are at an age where they begin to question everything, including relationships.

I wonder if anyone can find statistics to back up the 90% figure? That seems pretty high to me. Also, is this linking the 90% figure to Saturn in the 7th?

Mine's a doozy! Saturn is my Ascendant ruler in Leo conjunct Venus/Regulus/Vertex in the 7th house! Oh yeah, lest I forget the sign Leo is intercepted in the 7th. I thought I was never gonna get married and was part way to accepting that when I started feeling the Saturn Return coming on. Then all of a sudden it was a full-on last ditch effort to find "the one." Kept thinking about an old love (Saturn), contacted him and we've been together ever since. We married right after my Saturn Return. As others have noted, the actual return went by uneventfully. Well, then all hell broke loose months later. I had some sort of exsistensial crisis that I'm still grappling with. It's what made me get back into astrology. I turn 31 this year. I've tried to end my marriage twice with no luck. I know that marriage is not for me, but I can't leave him. I can't hurt him and I feel obligated to try and make it work because I'm the one who contacted him out of the blue in the first place. Our Composite Sun and Saturn are conjunct! I feel like it is all my fault because if I hadn't stopped studying astrology, I would've known all this and would've never gotten married. My Saturn conjunctions all quintile Uranus in the 9th conjunct my MC. I totally did a 360 on my career aspirations as well. It seems part of me knows that to get where I'm need to go in life (MC) that my marriage has to be "sacrificed." This is also partly because my husband's Part of Marriage/Vertex is conjunct my 7th house Mercury which exactly squares my Uranus. It's a horrible feeling and I'm just trying to take it day by day. My husband's an interesting one--Moon in Aquarius square Venus/Mars in Scorpio with Sun/Pluto conjunct MC. Sometimes, I think he'll be okay if we're not together anymore and then others times...not so much and that's putting it lightly. Sorry, I'm not trying to freak you out but I hope your Saturn Return in the 7th goes better than mine.

Well, I don't know about the 90% figure, but ages 28-31 are most prevalent in world divorce stats...

I personally would think that having your SR in the 7th house would be a blessing in disguise, seeing as how Saturn is exalted in the 7th, but hey what do I know my SR is happening in one of Saturn's other houses, the 11th!

Anybody currently experiencing Saturn return? There are so many things that could impact your Saturn return, that anyone who gives you an answer without your birthdata is just blowing smoke. Zarathu

We can look at the aspects to Saturn in the natal chart, and from that alone we can get a fairly good idea what Saturn is going to do in the return.

This is simple enough for anyone with a bit of knowledge to use for thinking about their own charts.

In general a person who has very supportive Saturn aspects in the birthchart has no reason to expect great difficulties during the turn unless transits from other planets show difficulties not related to Saturn.

In my view the reason Saturn returns are difficult, besides the obvious Saturn/Saturn conjunction, is that very few people do not have at least one difficult Saturn aspect at birth, and it is the "retracing" of this or these aspect(s) that make it such a challenging time.

And that any special difficulties related to the house Saturn is in at birth will also be "retraced".

I have Saturn in the 7th in sagitarrious. The 7th house is ruled by scorpio and Pluto is in Scorpio in the 6th house ruled by virgo.

I am 21 but dread what is going to happen in 7 yrs time. Saturn also happens to rule my 9th and 10th house as well!

It's quite possible your SR will be easier for you than where Saturn is right now. Like many others you are strongly impacted by the currect Saturn/Uranus opposition.
