I have my Sun in Sag in 10 unaspected and my Venus in Scopio in 9 unaspected as well. I thought my unaspected Sun was causing me to feel a weak sense of self. In a way it was but now after reading this article and reflecting on this I can see that my Sun has actually been searching for something. Being in Sag I've been searching (a Sag characteristic anyway) for a sense of God/Spiritual connection to the most high (10th house placement). Authority figures didn't work for me and with Saturn in Sag in 10 also, I've investigated organized religion for some time and it just felt too restrictive and didn't provide the connection I knew existed.
Venus in Scorpio in the 9th house was also searching (9th house) but this searching was more for my own relationship with this same source and often confusing that with transformation found in relationships and an almost tantric view of sex.
This planet combo searched high and wide for ways to connect with this feeling of spirit and soul mate. Everytime I thought I captured it outside of myself it would of course allude me. Only until I could realize that the relationship I sought was with my higher self did the external search cease. This occured btw when Pluto finished transiting my Sun and it's progressed position transited natal Chiron.
Sure, every now and then I get absent minded and think it's out there but I quickly come to my senses and realize that I'm playing the shell game once again but I still have trouble feeling that connection.
