I asked a horary about an astrologer I consulted, which house should I consider to represent him?

Edit: 7H and 7H ruler is for astrologer, right?

Yes, the 7th.:)

Unless the question is a 7th house matter - then it's not the astrologer. Otherwise, the astrologer is the 7th house.

I've never heard that before. I'm curious, where would the astrologer be if not the seventh? It was my understanding that the astrologer was assigned here as the "physician" of sorts for the question or problem. I'd like a source to check that out if you have one. :)

I think it was Bonatti who said also to watch out for Saturn in the 10th if you're the astrologer, as you are apt not to get much credit for your prediction - the client won't like it or won't like you.

Lilly says the client is testing you and its likely to be damaging to your reputation.

Well... this is in respect to a horary chart. I am asking about an astrologer I went for consultation - how far I can trust him to help me out ;)

I got a doubt if I look at only 7H and ruler or any planet (like Saturn) which usually represents an astrologer (is he not advisor / consultant sort or even a psychic?)

Here is the chart - just as reference. Any comments which planet I must consider as astrologer?

Thanks

If AG said 7th, than it is 7th.
And I think he can be trusted. He is not in combust or in fall (persons we can not trust for hiding something or because they are weak to perform any good). Besides, he is in conj. with Mercury (communication), and Jupiter - gread benefic. I think YES, he can be trusted. Mercury rules your 12th - does he knows yours secrets? Jupiter rules your 3rd and also your 6th - something about your job maybe. But you trine Neptune (you - Moon), so, is it possible to see clearly this situation at the moment?
Best regards
Natasa

Thanks for the source, Olivia. :)

As for the question on the trustworthiness of the astrologer. There's a big "maybe" about it. Mars is peregrine in Aquarius, perhaps suggesting that the astrologer is puzzled or confused in some manner, but Mars sits with the North Node, which does look promising. Mars in the Fourth shows the astrologer's power to act or to influence you, same goes with Mercury who doesn't appear to be much better off, also having no dignities in Capricorn while being slow in motion if I'm not mistaken.

However, I think special consideration should be taken considering Mercury is about to switch signs. Something is going to change for the better.

Thanks a lot for your inputs. It makes sense.

If Mercury is usually astrologer that solves another puzzle for me - its a nagging presence in all my questions - 3H, 12H connected to Merc.

In this question, I am eyeing that Saturn in Merc's terms in 11H with some mistrust - doesn't that mean he intends to help us but there may be some constraint - ability to do so or some thing else?

edit: I said 11H is because we HOPE he will help us, it's house of hopes and wishes.

Just FYI I have moved your thread to 'Other Topics', since it segued into a chart reading. The 'Techniques' threads should be used for techniques only, not chart readings. :)

PS. although Mars (as the astrologer) is peregrine, he moves to conjunct the North Node and Jupiter, both indicators of positive influence. It may be that he is trying to help, but because he is peregrine, he may not be able to help as much as you would like him to.

Thanks AG.

I should have posted the chart in readings section.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought that:

° If we are asking about an astrologer, the astrologer is a 9th house matter (learned people). In this case ruled by Mercury in Capricorn (angular house)

° If we are wanting to locate the astrologer who is judging the question/chart the querent's partner leading to truth, then we look at the 7th house.

Everyone pretty much gives the 7th house to the astrologer when seeking to evaluate the astrologer's capacity to judge the question; I follow Al-Kindi and Alchabitius in selecting instead the 3rd trigonal (triplicity) lord of the sign on the 9th house in the (very few) instances when I have wanted to make such an inquiry.

It is a chart I raised long ago, so I have the outcome - at least as I have experienced it.

He took a lot of money for consultation and said a 1000 good things about future but I am still there without a job, even after exactly 2 years of asking the Qs to him (it is 2 years today!!). As far as I am concerned, none of his predictions came right and he was of no help to me.

So if someone wants to look at astrologer in this chart, may be they should look for weak planet, not well-placed one :)
