Antares,
Since your question is focused on the past, it seems this relationship is over. Whatever "future" two people have together is something they create in the present. I suggest finding someone in the present whom you CAN have a future together with.
Non-astrologically,
Tim

Dear Tim,
This relationship is on its way now, not in the past.
It is a beginning between us, not an end.
Thank you for your reply

Antares,
Thanks for explaining the time frame of this relationship. The first step in relationship comparison is to understand how each person approaches relationships. This can be seen by looking for Libra, Venus, and the 7th house (all are about relationships) in each chart. In your chart, you have 2 planets in Libra, including Neptune (spirituality, also idealization), suggesting you may tend to idealize relationships. You have Uranus (friends, also rebellion) conjunct (energy is combined with) Venus, indicating you may rebel against a more formal relationship, preferring to be close but not TOO close. You also have Neptune (spirituality, also idealization) square (energy needs to be combined with) Venus, indicating you may idealize relationships. You have energy focused in your 7th house indicating you focus on relationships.
Your friend has Libra modifying South node (the past), indicating she may be moving away from a focus on relationships. She has a similar close but not TOO close Uranus-Venus combination. There is no energy focused in her 7th house, indicating she does not focus on relationships.
The next thing to look at is the relationship chart (your chart is in the middle and his is on the outside). The first thing to look for in relationship charts is any connections between the Sun and Moon by themselves. There are connections between your Sun and Moon so there is a "connection" between you. The next thing to look for are the aspects made between Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars (also called "personal" planets). What stands out the most is the strong connection to your Sun (self-expression, also dating) and Venus, indicating a dating-relationship connection to you. However, there is only one small connection to her Venus. This indicates you may "relate" to her much more than she "relates" to you. There is also an easy Neptune-Venus connection (Neptune trine Venus), indicating that this relationship might be idealized. Your Saturn (duty, also authority, restriction) conjuncts her South node (the past), indicating that you may hold her back in life.
Of course, there is a large difference between your ages, which can create difficulties further down the road. But even more of a concern is the possibility that you don't see this relationship clearly (idealize it) and are trying to make it more than it is. She does not "relate" to you, which you most likely can begin to notice if you pay less attention to what you WANT (idealization) and more on what IS there. In addition, realistically, expecting a very young woman to commit to any man, especially an older man, is fairly unlikely; and, if she WAS willing to make such a relationship sacrifice (for so it would be to her), she would most likely make it VERY clear to you.
Relating,
Tim
