View Full Version : Which chart is right??

Hi,
I've input the same information on Astrolog and Astrodienst but the first gives me an Asc at 12 degrees Libra and the second gives it at 23 degrees Scorpio! Am I doing something wrong?
I'm inclined to think the Libra Asc is the right one as it puts my Mar/Uranus conjunction on the MC which might explain my erratic behaviour in the workplace and the number of times I move house, but then, I have Moon in Aquarius so perhaps that would be the case anyway?
Would be really grateful for any pointers as I am totally confused!

Hi,
Thanks for your reply Astrologer 50 but I have already downloaded my chart from Astrodienst as well as having put Astrolog on my computer. I just don't understand why they would give me different results from the same information? Astrodienst insists that daylight saving is performed automatically, and regardless of whether I press yes or no to daylight saving on Astrolog the chart is nothing like the one produced by Astrodienst. I wondered if anyone here had any ideas as to what is going on with that?
cheers,

I'll take that as a 'no' then.

lodals,
You said:

As you say later in this thread, this is most likely a Daylight Savings Time (DST) error. Astrodienst calculates automatically and Astrolog requires the user to enter DST. As a rule, I trust Astrodienst over any other charting site (or program) out there. Another possibility is it is a locational error. Astrodienst automatically enters the area and I don't know if Astrolog does as well. Still, I would trust Astrodienst.
Trusting Astrodienst,
Tim

Thanks for that Tim. Had another look at everything and I had made a mistake on Astrolog (ashamed to admit to a mix up between Lat/Long!!?) but can still only reconcile with Astrodienst by leaving out daylight saving. The difference is only 13 degrees now so things are improving!
cheers,
Lodals
