hi,
when doing natal chart readings, with a person that has relocated from their
natal place of birth, the chart changes entirely when i cast a new chart according to the new location.

so when doing progressions, solar returns, lunar returns,

do i use the natal chart or the relocated chart for the reading?
i.e. a person born in california that has pisces rising when relocated to new york they have a different ascendant. so in this case for progressions and solar returns do i use natal chart or the relocated chart?

Thank you.

Wonderful question.I've been wondering that myself :D I would think it would make a difference , especially with such a distance as with your example:)

You always use 'natal' only time you use relocation chart is for Solar returns.

some people actually move to get a better SR than if they stay where they are...

You always use 'natal' only time you use relocation chart is for Solar returns.........

Will you please expand on the thinking/"theory" behind this A50.

[I can see that we have to "work with what we are born with" - so, the unrelocated natal chart is always the base reference point. But, if we move, I'd expect all other charts to be calculated from the place of relocation. Thus, all transits/returns would be calculated from the relocation data to produce a chart for both "stand-alone" interpretation and for comparison to the unrelocated natal chart.

I see the individual as being like a radio set to receive one frequency (the unrelocated natal chart), and the strength of signal varying according to where we physically are in relation to the planets/heavens above (the relocated charts)...........but this is my own take on it, rather than anything I've read/heard/learned from experts.]

EDIT : I've re-read the question/your answer now A50...........and guess we see eye-to-eye on this issue.
