Hi tim, Can i ask, if uranus were on the descendant in virgo would you interpret this as uranus (changeable, rapid starting/ending, rebellious, independant, freedom) conjunct (energy combined with) my descendant (others). Ruler of the desc is mercury in first house so its important to me that my relationships with others are non restrictive and open to change. They (my relationships) may start or end suddenly and involve exciting independant people.
What do you think?

That's definitely one possibility. I also suggest that since Uranus' "keyword" is "friends", so Uranus (friends, also outer world self-expression) conjunct Descendant indicates a need for a "friendly" connection with others (i.e., "close but not TOO close"). And, since Uranus is a "humanitarian" energy it can also indicate a need to do humanitarian projects with others.

Hmmm thats interesting. I have never been 'big' on friends or frienships. I have a best friend whom i love dearly but I can really only handle one at a time. I always feel like im cheating on my best friend when seeing other friends lol. I find friendships tend to be unbalanced, they either expect me to come visit them all the time, ring them give to them etc or they are super clingy and needy which i find very suffocating. Im a bit of a loner:D
I like it here though. I get to leave when ever I want.;)

I have Uranus conj Desc in Leo and have similar experiences with friends, as soon as the makes excessive demands of my time or keep calling at my house, i start backing off, cos i want the freedom to interact with whomever whenever without expectations......

I can't stand needy, clingy either. But i do have Saturn in 11th house as well, which I'm quite happy with my own company and friends are usually older types. I find its quality rather than quantity and prefer one to one rather than groups, unless I'm group leader of course....

Ha! I'm exactly like you two! I figure some strong, positve Saturn influences & Cap 7th combined with sun, merc, jup & nn in 10th Aries makes me too self-reliant to need others all the time. An 11th Gem mars doesn't have any trouble leaving time-wasters behind either...great to see others like me here...now, who's single LOL

Its interesting isnt it. I have a real problem with people just dropping by whenever. Mind you i used to have like totally full blown social phobia. I wouldnt even open my mail or answer the phone.

lol we have alot in common, i have chiron, venus, nnode, saturn and merc in aries 1st house and aries sun in 2cnd. My cappy moon is in 11th;)
As for being single, well with uranus on my 7th house cusp i think i will always be single:D

Uranus is my chart ruler in 7th involved in T Square with Asc (maybe)forming grand square. Pluto in my 7th .... yes am looking for strong authority type figure, my last husband was policeman with scorpio moon and he had been a detective for 12years, but quincunxed signs and him wanting so much freedom along with keep a certain part in his trousers....

Cos Leo rules my 7th and also has pluto here one to one relationships are important, and i supposed transformational, maybe even some power struggles going on. Plus uranus, life is certainly not dull :D

We have alot of similarities in our charts. Pluto in virgo in 6th and its 6 deg from my desc. I definetly prefer a strong man myself. My ex had the same trouser issue lol. Maybe they went to the same tailor haha

Just as well my pluto is very well aspected with tight trine to moon and sextile to mars in 5th.... don't really feel power struggles but do seem to attract men that want their freedom and independence, cos i want it too I must give them enough rope to hang themselves....:D

I find its the power struggles that you dont know you're having that are the most dangerous. I had no idea i was being robbed of my power. Then you just wake up one day and you're like one of those empty pupa casings. All shell and no substance. Mind you with pluto opposite asc and squared MC i could have been the perpetrator except for the lovely trine pluto has to mars in Taurus and sextile to Neptune in scorpio in 9th. It still amazes me when i look at my chart and how its a map of my lifes learning. Just incredible.:)

Back in the good ol' days when I tried to change my husband (note i said change not ex-change;)) I was constantly frustrated and angry at him for not changing. I tried to tell him how he ought to change. I tried to show him how he ought to change. Then I got really serious and tried to 'pray' the change into him and finally i resorted to nagging the change into him. He did not change and now he is my ex husband (and yes he did leave me but i am at a loss as to why).
I learned something through all of this. I have no control over other people. I cannot change anyone but i can change me. I figured out if i dont like something i dont have to eat it, date it, listen to it, wear it, do it, watch it, look at it or respond to it. Its incredibly freeing.........when we become conscious of the unseen influence of a Yod in our chart
