So I received a phone call a few days ago and want to look at the chart.
But I'm not sure if I am represented by the ASC or DSC =P. LOL

If THEY called me, would THEY be the ASC?

You are always the ascendant in reference to yourself.

That is what confuses me. =P. If the people who called me happened to want to look at the astrology chart of the phone call as well, they would also be the ASC in the chart. But both parties can't be the ASC.

Doesn't it seem more logical that since they initiated the contact, they are the ASC and I am the receiver ---- the DSC?

So if they happened to look at the electional chart as well, they would be the ASC and I would be the DSC.

I'm confused. :P

You're assuming that such a person would live in the exact same place as you.. even still, since you are the person curious and you are casting the chart you are the ascendant. If the didnt live in the same place, the ASC would be a different ruler most likely.

You are the one casting the chart and wanting to know the person's relationship to you, not the other way around.

But they received the event. They're the Descendant in such an instance. The Ascendant in event charts being the initiating the event.

But you're assuming that the same event can happen in two different places at the same time. This can't be so. The event is they received a call from this person. They didn't make the call, they received it. The recipient is the Descendant.

I'm not assuming anything Kai, it was an example. If the caller lived in the same neighborhood, it would happen at the same time, in a different 'place'.

I disagree, and think the ASC should be the for inquirer.

It's not a horary question, though, it's an event chart for an event that doesn't care who inquirers after it. Following this logic, the ascendant of the event chart of the bombing of Hiroshima would always be the person inquiring about it or looking into it. How can that be possible? How can that be logical?

Event charts are objective and not necessarily inquirer-centric.

Yes, I know it is not a horary chart.

That's great. The point was that it doesn't follow the same rules as it either.
