Apparently I have a Jupiter return in Aquarius on the 31st and I'd like to know what's in store for this year.
Will I have good luck in whatever I do this year?

Only the fact that you have Jupiter return can't indicate your luck and success in everything(too strong word) without knowing it's house placement and astpects to natal, transit and progressed planets. Generally Jupiter return indicates new phase in your life, and the luck mostly denends on how did you live, behave during last 12 years.

This is a discussion site for astrologers, and the forum rules state that you give what astrological information you can. It would also be helpful if you posted your charts for people to comment on....
Everyone has Jupiter in a natal chart and a jupiter return happens every 12years for everyone. All depends on which house is involved and the aspects to your Jupiter.:D

astrologer50, the rules are somewhat relaxed in the Greenhorn's Lounge.
Deprez, I have had two Jupiter returns since I began studying astrology, and I hate to say it, but I thought they were nothing special. For the first one, I was pretty excited, but not much happened. I was consequently less hopeful for the 2nd one and again, not much happened. Theoretically, a Jupiter return is both a conclusion and new beginning for things Jupiterian in your life: not only luck and optimism, but also matters pertaining to philosophy, higher education, theology, and other types of enduring intellectual pursuits.
Maybe my own limited experience occured because my natal Jupiter is in Capricorn--perhaps not the happiest place for it--but sometimes Venus and Jupiter transits are merely the smiley-button "have a nice day" effects. But it is well worth watching out for, so hopefully yours will bring you wonderful things.
One thing you might do is check an ephemeris to see when your previous Jupiter return was: probably your first occurred around the age of 12. What happened then? Might provide some clues about what to anticipate.
