View Full Version : Ajar's astro-sentencing
These sentences always looked like Greek to me. Great explanation, Wilson!
Two questions, I see that astrop86 is starting with hs 2nd house, Libra and Venus, what about his 1st house Virgo, and its ruler? Also, you are using the sign that a planet is in and not the cusp of the house to write the sentences?
Another words if I have Cancer on the cusp of my 2nd house, but Pluto is in Leo, in the 2nd. I would write it like so...?
Leo (Self Expression) modifies Pluto (Transformation) focused on Physical

Ajar,
You asked:

astrop is ONLY looking at the 10 planets in their signs and houses. And yes, ONLY look at the planets for now. So your "astro-sentence" for Leo modifying Pluto focused in the 2nd house is absolutely correct: great job!
Explaining and agreeing,
Tim

Really excellent thread, Wilson, very informative!
Astrop really seems to pick this up fast, I have a hard time just trying to keep up.
So once, we have a good idea of the stronger energies that are moving through the charts, do we then look at empty houses? And if so, would we look at the rulers of the sign on the cusp of the house?
I see that Astrop is using Placidus, and his chart would not change much going to equal.
My chart changes significantly going from Placidus to Equal, and they both with some exceptions in one or two houses, seem to fit.
I have not really decided which one to believe, so, I am trying to use these sentences to see which one seems to work better.

That's OK, different people learn at different rates. Just keep at it and once you go through the six steps of basic astrology, make sure to look at the "Final Thoughts" section for how to extend those keywords and make them more useful. I suggest looking ONLY at houses with planets in them first since that is where you naturally focus your attention and so that is the area that you will have the "Aha!" moments when writing out the "astro-sentences". "Astro-sentences" don't apply to empty houses but yes, if you want to look at empty houses, look at the sign on the cusp (edge) of the house, find the planet that rules that sign, and see which house THAT planet is in and then see what that planet does.
I don't do this myself since looking at a different house to see what is going on in some other house is, to me, confusing and not immediately understandable (i.e., it doesn't create an "Aha!" moment where the person sees what is going on in their own chart, but instead creates an "Oh...yeah...tell me more" moment where the person develops a dependence on the astrologer's interpretation since they can't immediately see this themselves in their chart).
Emptily,
Tim
Thanks for the good info.!
I will need to read over astrop thread a few dozen times, but hopefully I will have a good grasp of it all in the end..
