Hey astro gang,

I need some help here. I’m a total newbie to electional astrology, and I would like to use it to elect a date and time to apply for a visa.

I’m supposed to go to Germany in May. I guess I should apply at least a month before departure date. It’s not confirmed yet, but the departure date should be 02 May 2009.

Now, what would be a good event chart for applying for a tourist visa so that I would be accepted smoothly? I already know the following;

- The event chart should look like a horary yes answer to the question “Will my application for a tourist be visa be accepted?
- I should most definitely avoid applying when Mercury is Rx, and it is preferable that I wait until it’s out of the rx zone altogether.
- The Moon and the ruler of the 1st house must be fortified.
- Unfortunate planets should be place in cadent houses where they are least malefic.
- It’s good to have the ruler of the other party receiving the ruler of the first.

Now, a few questions;

- What rules the embassy of Germany here? The 7th or the 9th?
- What should I do about the Saturn-Uranus opposition? Place them in the 6th and 12th? The 3rd and 9th must be free of malefics.
- What rules do I follow to pick the lunar sign of that day in terms of element and quality?
- Does it matter of the Moon is waxing or waning?
- Which kind of dignity or debility matters more, essential or accidental?
- What should I consider regarding my own natal chart?

Any ideas?

Nora :)

What rules the embassy of Germany here? The 7th or the 9th?

It's an application approval thing. So it's a First/Third/Seventh thing. The First being you, the Third your application, the Seventh the ones receiving it to approve it.

What should I do about the Saturn-Uranus opposition? Place them in the 6th and 12th? The 3rd and 9th must be free of malefics.

Sixth and Twelfth is all you've got. Just keep Saturn out of the Twelfth and pray he's not being used as a significator.

What rules do I follow to pick the lunar sign of that day in terms of element and quality?

A Mercury Sign. We're talking paperwork here.

Does it matter of the Moon is waxing or waning?

Waxing to gain.

Which kind of dignity or debility matters more, essential or accidental?

Essential.

What should I consider regarding my own natal chart?

First and Third lords.
